Richard GriffithsMost recognised for having played Uncle Monty in Withnail and I and Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter films, this Yorkshireman truly was a larger than life actor. Rightly, when on stage, Richard Griffiths refused to tolerate mobile phones ringing in the audience and ordered those whose did out of the theatre on more than one occasion. The role of Inspector Henry Crabbe, a disillusioned policeman turned pie chef, in Pie in the Sky was created especially for him.
