Theo James 2Julian Fellowes cast Theo James as the Turkish diplomat Kemal Pamuk in the first season of Downton Abbey and swiftly killed him off in a sex scene which brings on his having a heart attack. Born in Oxford, James trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and made his television debut opposite Billie Piper in A Passionate Woman. This “refreshingly down to earth and self-deprecating” actor has repeatedly stated he fears sharks in interviews.
