The patience of Judge Alison J. Nathan – a woman clearly desperate to get on with her next stage in life after being promoted to a higher court by President Joe Biden – has clearly yet again been tested as she awaits a verdict from the jury in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial in New York.
After previously having had a mini-meltdown with the deviant daughter of the pension pot plunderer Robert Maxwell’s lawyers after they tried to get extra time to get their witnesses to show up in spite of having had over 500 days to prepare them, Judge Nathan yesterday asked jurors in the case to consider sitting an extra hour beyond their normal 5pm closing time.
Clearly and most apparently sick of them asking questions focused on details such as the definition of the word “enticement” – which she summed up to mean “to attract, induce or lure using hope or desire” – Judge Nathan pointedly added of her 6pm suggestion: “I don’t mean to pressure you in any way. You should take all the time that you need.” Hammer down, “Next!”

I can just envisage what’s going to happen. A jury member tests positive with the new Omicron variant, all jury members will then have to quarantine, and the trial will have to be postponed until a new jury is sworn in. Judge Nathan won’t be able to wait that long, as her new position awaits her. Defence will push for a new trial which will take until the end of 2022. She will then be found guilty and sentenced to 3 years, with time served she will be out in around 8 months, I rest my case melud.
I personally demand the electric chair for Ghislaine. She deserves to fry.

I couldnt disagree more Rod. You sound like a man with personal problems. Judge Nathan has managed the ridiculous defense of this wicked vain woman with award winning strength. The sophomoric resentment of her appointment is baffling to me She works for a living. She should be proud and it was difficult for her to face the opposers like you Rod.
I am grateful it is over. It has been highly charged and threaded with complexities. I have followed every moment and I need to rest my sensibilities until the next phase of the deeply engrossing saga. She couldnt have believed she would be saved. Now a costly appeal awaits us.
