The arts: I currently sit on the internationally renowned board for Art Papers.

Never at the dinner table, please.

As soon as you need one.

A Negroni and preferably one from the Spoon Bar in Sonoma, California.

Whose parties do you enjoy the most and why?

My own: My friends are always there and they like my cocktails and humour.

Who is the most positive person you know?

My wife.

What’s your most guilty pleasure?

It would have to be buying expensive shoes.

If a tattoo were to sum you up, what would it be of?

I hate tattoos.

If you were a car, what marque would you be?

A Range Rover during the day and a Bobby Ewing-style vintage Mercedes-Benz convertible at night.
