Like countless millions around the world, we must congratulate Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the arrival of His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge. This young chap’s arrival is indeed something to celebrate.

Many have asked why we hadn’t commented on the birth yet, but given that this event has been so widely covered we didn’t feel it necessary until now. The acres of press coverage of a child seen only once in public thus far are tribute enough in our view but when we saw this image on Facebook though, we did laugh and we thus make it our picture of the week.
