Insensitive showoffs wreak havoc in Parliament Square with their gaudy supercars; they claimed to be honouring the dead and injured of the Westminster attack but simply caused annoyance
Though five people died and around fifty others were injured as a result of Khalid Masood smashing his rented 4×4 into them on Westminster Bridge on 22nd March, a group of insensitive showoffs decided it would be appropriate to cause gridlock with their gaudy supercars in Parliament Square on Sunday.
Shabs Ahmad, a spokesman for the group, which is known as the Piccadilly Boy Racers, told the MailOnline:
“Following recent attacks in Westminster which cost the lives of innocent civilians as well as PC Keith Palmer, we felt it was only right to pay our condolences and show our love by standing united to oppose the atrocious acts of violence”.
“We felt that being British Muslims with a platform, we wanted to speak up against such acts and bring people of all race and religion together as a symbol of peace, love and unity”.
The police felt quite differently about their presence and told these ridiculous vulgarians to swiftly to move on.
Come on!!!!!!!!!!!! They’re just having fun off and showing off their colourful lifestyles!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who do you think you are????????? The fun police???????????!!!!!!!
Oh, Rod…do shut up, you Antipodean bore
I see the plate on the gold Bentley is meant to read ENVY. Why would anyone be envious of such a tasteless person?
Lock ’em up!
How can making noise and showing off wealth be deemed a show of respect for the dead? If these people wanted to show respect they’d have quietly walked to Parliament Square but instead they rang the Daily Mail and got them to come and take pictures of themselves showing off. Nothing but publicity whores. Shameful and disgusting. I am appalled and furious to read of this.
…almost beyond belief, unless you spend any part of the summer in Knightsbridge!
Saw , or should I say saw but especially heard them roaring round yesterday in the beautiful SUNDAY (historically a quiet day ) sunshine! Totally about themselves showing off and annoying anyone who was unlucky enough to be walking by!
Well said. What annoying people. The founder of this mob even dared to have a go at me on Twitter and said: “We brought diversity and unity back into London as we paid respect to the deceased”. Arrogance beyond belief.
Well, to be fair, Matthew, they DID bring unity back to London. EVERYONE thinks they’re appalling.
I see that their recent charity event @1tayyabs Restaurant saw the #PiccadillyBoyRacers raise over £53,000 for @humanappeal in a matter of a few hours for all those displaced women children and families in Aleppo. Thanks to all of the PBR family and guests that attended and made this happen!. ?????????? #pbr #PiccadillyBoyRacers #givebacktotheneedy #humanappeal #prayforaleppo
All very well you saying all of that but why do they need to behave so vulgarly in a place where 6 people died only weeks before?
You must be naive if you think they did this for any other reason than to try to polish up their lacklustre image. Time they pushed back to the Middle East: they are a damned nuisance here
Envy over a bentley? Never!!
