‘Man of the Elite’ Nigel Farage yet again shown in his true colours; that the Brexit Party leader has lived in luxury in Chelsea is not ‘new news’ – we exposed such back in 2017
Whilst Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party will sadly likely trounce all others in the forthcoming European Elections, ‘news’ that he’s been living for free in a £13,000 a month house is not ‘news’ to us given we first reported on this in February 2017.
Located in Elystan Street, SW3, the rental, Channel 4 News revealed this week, has been funded by Farage’s friend and associate Arron Banks – a man under investigation by the National Crime Agency for alleged criminal offences by him and his unofficial leave campaign in the EU referendum.
That Farage accepted such largesse – supposedly to the tune of £450,000 and also including a chauffeur driven Land Rover Discovery – provides illustration of the fact that he’s anything but the “skint” ‘Man of the People’ he has so often claimed to be. Here, instead, is an opportunist who earned £8,000 a month as an MEP and £26,000 a month from media appearances also. Here, indeed, is a hypocrite who definitely is nothing but a ‘Man of the Elite’ and a man who is himself as greedy as any other member of the swamp he and his mate Donald Trump so want to drain.

He is a great man & tells it as it is
Are you referring to the reporter or the beer-swilling, half-an-idea, subject of the article?
I have met Farage a couple of times-once when he contested Buckingham and once over dinner.
You had better get used to him. He has gathered some very clever people around him; for example, Ben Habib, who at 23 was the youngest FD of a plc and who started a major property company as well as Richard Tice ex CLS Holdings. He has nearly eviscerated the Conservative Party and is going for the Labour vote up north and the Midlands. The Brexit Party may end up holding the balance of power in a GE and preventing Corbyn and McDonnell destroying this country. One of the most interesting leaders since Margaret Thatcher.
I would love to meet him Peter! Could he possibly be our PM?! Can you imagine that?
He is a superb leader. A great orator. Highly intelligent. Charismatic. All the qualities are there. The fact that his current surge in popularity only tells us how people really feel in this country, although they may not say it out loud.
Maggie left £12 million OFFSHORE and lived in the Ritze for free.
Nigel has got it right and we all knew he had a past in the City and made a fortune.
You have no point here.
Like you very much but you should avoid becoming a Tory Boy
He is a vile racist
Why do people who have nothing to say always pull the racist card. Just because a person tells it how it is, morons like you come out of the woodwork. Love him or hate him, like Peter said, you better get used to him, cos he’s gonna be around for a while.
Funny how Ben Habib is one of his closest friends. George, you are a really irritating midge
Oooo I think he’s fabulous. Just what this country needs! A self believer. A passionate nationalist. A posh boy? Hell yeah. Go Nigel.
Farage is not “posh” – he’s simply instead a devious self-serving “man of the elite” who I have to admit knows how to manipulate.
Matthew, I respect your view. I always will. But I trust Farage far more than many other politicians right now.
Little Englander, by any chance?
I’m baffled as to why the Brexiteers think that electing Farage to the European Parliament is such a big deal. He’s been an MEP since 1999 and has – to be honest – done sod all to fulfil his duties during that time.
He only ever puts on a big song and dance when the cameras are rolling. Once they’re switched off, he buggers off. He’s never attended a full debate in the European Parliament and when he was on the EU Fisheries Committee, he turned up to a grand total of 1 out of 42 meetings.
I believe that the only MEP with a worse attendance/voting record was Paul Nuttell.
And let’s not forget the half-arsed “March for Brexit” from Sunderland to London – which Farage promoted heavily, but only took part in on one day out of two weeks. Other participants were, however, charged a minimum of £50 for the privilege.
It’s truly sad how many people have been taken in by this conman. I mean – if you’re completely against the EU and what it stands for, wouldn’t you want to elect someone who actually turns up and actively votes against proposed legislation?
Not someone who just takes the money and runs!
Ella, if you don’t understand why the Brexit Party needs to contest the elections you are clearly a bit simple!
Much as one shouldn’t feed trolls, the Brexit Party doesn’t “need” to contest elections at all.
Check their website; they have ZERO policies. They are simply a vehicle for generating cash and publicity for this charlatan.
And sadly, given the way that EU elections work, the conman will succeed in being returned to the Parliament.
When dimwits cannot find anything in their mini-brains to say they trot out the banal ‘much as one shouldn’t feed trolls’.
Ella: don’t be boring. Policies will be detailed once the Brexit Party have routed the other parties this Sunday. Now go and do something useful like walking the dog.
Poor old Petey Wheaty needs his nappy changed.
Is that comment from Ella intended to be funny or wise? Grow up!
