SCM Private short film featuring the actress Helen Lederer reminds investors of the questions they should be asking
Starring Absolutely Fabulous actress Helen Lederer as an investor alongside a spoof character named Gordon Dodgy (whose monniker was plainly inspired by Keeping Up Appearance’s Hyacinth Bucket), we make a short film by the London based investment management house SCM Private our Video of the Week.
Titled Sex and the City, this parody highlights the perils faced by those making investments and illustrates the myriad of costs, fees and percentages that those who are meant manage these funds bamboozle their clients with.
SCM – which was founded by Alan and Gina Miller – use Lederer’s character to show how engagement with those who manage our savings and investments is important and this timely short is something that we urge all of our readers to watch. Doing so might actually save you some money.
