‘The Atlantic Wire’ compares the British Conservative Party with both the American Republican Party and Democratic Party
Traditionally the British Conservative Party is seen to align itself to the American Republican Party whilst the British Labour Party finds itself having more in common with the American Democratic Party. An article this week in The Atlantic Wire, however, suggests, for the Conservatives at least, this situation has somewhat changed.

In an article that makes reference to the Democrat and former Deputy White House Chief of Staff Jim Messina becoming an adviser to David Cameron on social media and campaign structure, The Atlantic Wire argues that on six out of nine “policies” the British Conservatives are more in line with the American Democrats.
