Jeremy Bamber and his legal team call on ITV to postpone screening their forthcoming drama series ‘White House Farm’
Just as Freddie Fox revealed he “decided against contacting the real-life Jeremy Bamber” and announced he’ll be “leaving it up to the audience to decide whether or not Bamber is guilty,” the convicted familial serial killer’s supporters and legal team have announced they “make it very clear… [they] do not endorse this drama.”
Of why he decided to follow this particular course of action, Fox commented:
“The Jeremy Bamber I’m playing [in ITV’s White House Farm] is a combination of the Jeremy Bamber that I’ve created as an actor, in my imagination, and factual, assiduous factual research. And he’s a different man now, it’s 35 years on, and he maintains his innocence.”
In response, Bamber’s solicitor, Mark Newby, remarked:
“We have written to the producers of the drama series and invited them to postpone the broadcast of this series whilst matters are resolved in the High Court . We have intimated that we are concerned that such a drama series by its nature will place a fictitious narrative in the public domain which may be counterproductive to the administration of justice in due course. We sincerely hope that in the interests of fairness and justice that ITV accede to this request.”

Surely the programme is worthwhile… It brings more attention to the matter and might result in people starting to ask questions. Ridiculous that Freddie Fox did not go and visit Bamber though. He had the opportunity to get first-hand experience of his subject and he shirked. Plainly not very dedicated to his task. Lazy boy.
Something about this case makes little to no sense. How could Jeremy Bamber have been outside with a policeman when movement was seen inside if he was the killer? I am suspicious that he might have been setup.
I had lunch with Bambi’s ex husband, father of the twins, who knew Jeremy well and had no doubt of his guilt,. Jeremys girlfriend also confirmed that he had confessed to her. He has been trying to get away with it for years and keeps trying.
The problem with “Jeremy’s girlfriend” is that she changed her story when she got given cash by newspapers. How do you explain that?
The only reason his lawyers don’t want this screened is, it will make him look guilty. If the screening is factual and not a soap opera, let it run, and like was mentioned, it will bring attention to the case.
