It’s officially true: Happiness and gin go together.
Regular readers and gin lovers will understand our Picture of the Week – kindly supplied by George Jawharieh – which documents the route to happiness via a gin and tonic. This diagram, indeed, proves for once and for all that anyone who spouts the boring mantra that gin makes people depressed is talking utter nonsense.

Tesco place a “Back to School” banner above an alcohol display in Swansea Shoppers at Tesco in Fforestfach, Wales were controversially confronted by a display of gin, vodka and whisky complete with a “Back to School” sign in recent days.
