Fashion fruitcake Alexa Chung arrogantly announces that she has no interest in anything other than “endless parties” in “post-pandemic” times

Whilst over 100,000 people may have died from coronavirus in Britain to date, this morning, the Guardian’s Jess Cartner-Morley shared that alien-to-all-of-this Alexa Chung – a weird wench who once merged her entire name into one hashtag, #ALEXACHUNG –  has announced that her priority is not helping others, but instead getting her glad rags on when the pandemic is over.

In response to a WhatsApp message from Cartner-Morley, fresh from running up debts of £2.3 million in 2020, ex-Big Mouth Chung supposedly, without a thought for those already gone and others on their deathbeds, ridiculously replied:

“When I think about life post-pandemic, all I can think about is endless parties… [I will be in] eye-wateringly short bodycon dresses – I may need matching knickers – and high heels.”

NHS staff and key workers will no doubt also be delighted to learn of Chung’s latest pearl and once again: “Thanks, Alexa” will resonate throughout the land.

Post-Pandemic Pillock Alexa Chung – Spoof Wikipedia-esque site Illogicopedia.org amusingly describe Alexa Chung as a “British fashion model made entirely out of wood.” They add: “She is best known for designing custom handbags for diabetic canker sores and hurling red paint at celebrities who refuse to wear fur” and conclude: “Anything you can do Alexa can do better. She can do anything better than you.”

Post-Pandemic Pillock Alexa Chung – Prior to coronavirus lockdowns in the UK and elsewhere, Alexa Chung was best known for hitting the party circuit and in February 2019 hosted a launch for a range of sunglasses at a restaurant named Wild By Tart. At it, she “allowed her dress to do the talking” and also “spoke of her “#MeToo moment.” She managed to find also to be snapped being kissed simultaneously on her cheeks by both Pixie Geldoff and Jack Guinness.
Post-Pandemic Pillock Alexa Chung – In June last year, utterly in love with herself Alexa Chung shared a bizarre 22:08 minute ‘video quiz’ on YouTube. In it, she helpfully announced that her lockdown activities had included “Netflix and chilling” and banged on about herself and her style tips. She suggested of the medium she was using: “The beauty of doing this on this is that you can just pause me.” Instead, 61 people unsurprisingly hit the ‘dislike’ button.

That the ‘Mirror’ focused on the non-story of a man changing his name to Celine Dion to start 2021 is beyond ridiculous

Evidence of the 1st January 2021 being a slow news day was provided by the Mirror’s decision to publish a non-story about a 30-year-old man who supposedly got drunk whilst watching Céline Dion on the telly box and changed his name to hers.

Thomas Dodd, a supposed “super fan” of the utterly irritating My Heart Will Go On crooner claimed the alcohol “must have given him [the] great idea” and told the paper’s Daniel Newbould and Luke Matthews:

“I am slightly obsessed with her, I’m not going to lie. During lockdown I’ve been watching a lot of live concerts on the TV. I can only think I’ve been watching one of hers and had a ‘great idea’ after a few drinks.”

According to the report, the man formerly known as Thomas Dodd spent £89 to make “the title become official, and even splashed out on eight extra certificates as proof of his new identity, adding he’s now able to see the funny side after dealing with the initial shock.”

    He added:

“I walked in from work and there was a big white envelope with do not bend’ written across it. I nearly passed out in my kitchen when I opened it.”

“My initial concern was how on earth do I tell the HR department at work that I need to change my email footer? Now I’m thinking it could be a great way to get backstage.”

“I’m just praying I don’t get pulled over by the police for anything – that could get awkward. More annoyingly I’ve paid for eight extra certificates to prove it and they are £10 each.”

“My mother didn’t see the funny side though. I did explain it could be worse and it could’ve been Boris Johnson – we’re just lucky he doesn’t have any live concerts. She’s laughing about it now.”

“I’ve not really thought too far ahead. I’m a little concerned that if I start telling people my name is Céline Dion I’ll get sectioned. However, it may come with its perks.”

“I’ll figure it out, I’m not rushing to change it back that’s for sure.”

“I tried singing Céline in the shower this morning and I can assure everyone I haven’t inherited her voice or bank balance. If this gets to Céline, someone best make sure I have a defibrillator next to me.”

When not belting out Falling Into You or Taking Chances, Céline Dion or Thomas Dodd (or whatever he decides to call himself next to get another outing in a red-topped rag) works as a hospitality manager in Clifton Campville, Staffordshire.

A Bit of a Bully – Priti Patel

Well-known bully Priti Patel inspires a bingo game after her latest “egregious” telly box blunder over Christmas Covid-19 rules

This morning, finger wagging firebrand Priti Patel did what she does best during an appearance on the telly box: The Home Secretary made a total prat of herself by contradicting her never-sorry self.

Appearing variously on BBC Breakfast, Sky News and ITV1’s Good Morning Britain, Patel – a woman well known for irritatingly saying “movin’” rather than “moving” – showed her incompetence by moving the goalposts of what is and what is not allowed this Christmas.

Mocked resultingly on Twitter and summed up a “bit of [a] bully” in a mocked up Bullseye poster, Patel again proved herself a shameless snitch in remarking: “If I saw somebody flouting coronavirus regulations and the laws, of course I would look to inform the police about that.” 2020’s ultimate “neighbour from hell” then contradicted herself by adding: “[The police’s] role is only to enforce egregious breaches… We’re not here to criminalise people.”

Could someone in government now do us all a favour? Please put poisonous Priti Patel back in the dart box for Christmas.

Anthea Turner swings into an interview with ‘The Sun’ and shares that she had therapy over her tacky ‘Flakegate’ wedding photos

Anthea Turner never misses an opportunity to swing into action when it comes to getting herself publicity and in an interview in today’s The Sun she went into overdrive.

Aside from moaning that she was “vilified” over her posed wedding photos with a chocolate flake rammed in her inglorious gob and claiming “I apparently did this heinous thing with a bar of Cadbury’s… You’d have thought I had single-handedly manufactured Covid-19 in the laboratory and released it to the masses,” Turner bizarrely announced: “It was like being naked all the time. I felt absolutely stripped.”

Going further of ‘Flakegate,’ tiresome Turner added: “I didn’t even like it. I’m more of a Dairy Milk girl” and declared she’d “had two bouts of therapy, helping her come to terms with the episode and move on… I realise no one died, but at the time and for years afterwards it was devastating.”

In further indication of her delusionality, ‘Princess Tippytoes’ (AKA ‘Shagger Turner’) concluded: “I was the original accidental influencer… but never got a penny for it… I’m still alive and kicking.” A Cadbury’s Flake with that Anth?

  • The Crackpottery of Coronavirus

    The Crackpottery of Coronavirus

Coronavirus has become the go-to excuse for just about anything that goes wrong and it is ridiculous suggests Matthew Steeples

“Coronavirus” and a shrug is now the equivalent of “leaves on the line.” Used  when anything at all goes wrong in this weird new era, this unfortunately completely overused response to any situation has become beyond irritating.

When I telephoned a car hire firm yesterday to simply extended a booking in France, I was told that under new rules because of “coronavirus,” I would have to go to a specific office in St Tropez. I got there and found it “closed due to coronavirus.”

Sent next to another location at a private airport by a call centre operative, I was told there that they could not help as they’d reduced their operation “due to coronavirus.”

Though I eventually sorted the problem by going to yet another location many miles away, this situation is far from rare. When any mishap occurs right now, people just pin it on coronavirus in spite of the fact that many problems have utterly nothing to do with such.

The likes of Marks & Spencer and Pizza Express are operations that have failed to move with the times, yet they blame their decline on a pandemic rather than their bad management. It’s the easy way out and it’s become the go-to get out clause.

Equally, crazy people are spreading messages that coronavirus is a creation of billionaires seeking to profit from us – one society sort ludicrously told me that it was “made” by Bill Gates whilst another, claiming in all seriousness it to be fact, announced that Barrack Obama had put it on a plane and sent it around the world. Here in coronavirus we have a new bonkers and sadly it has also brought with it the phrase “the new normal” also. The sooner such (and the virus itself) disappears into the ether, the better.

    Twittering S-Pam

Pam Ayres makes a poem of Matthew Steeples

Yesterday, I found myself listening to a self-proclaimed “writer, broadcaster and entertainer” named Pam Ayres on BBC Radio 4.

    Pam Ayres

An example of her style numbers:

“I am sittin’ on the sofa. By the fire and stayin’ in. Me head is free of comfort. And me nose is free of skin. Me friends have run for cover, They have left me pale and sick. With me pockets full of tissues. And me nostrils full of Vick.”

I recall having first encountered the supposed “humour “of Ms Ayres, whom the Daily Telegraph once described as “the doyenne of doggerel,” at a dinner hosted by The Lady Taverners at The Savoy some years ago. As Ayres droned on, an American lady at my table tapped me on the shoulder and said: “What the hell is this strange woman on about?” Having never heard of this “poet,” I shrugged and simply responded: “I haven’t got a clue.” When, in desperation, it was suggested we vacate to the bar, I embraced the idea with gusto. Sat there with an extremely strong martini, I felt well again.

That, I assumed, would be the last my poor ears heard from Ayres but sadly it was not to be. Radio 4, which I listen to throughout the day, have chosen to give her airtime and yesterday, when she came on, the first comment from my friend Charles was: “Oh God, not her, she terrified me even when I was a kid.” The unwelcome ghostly voice of an evening past had returned to my life.

Having had my fill, I thought I’d share my thoughts with my Twitter followers and posted the following:

“I have to say @PamAyres is quite possibly the most tedious person on @BBCRadio4. Her attempt at “humour” is cringeworthy and annoying.”

Within minutes, I’d been bombarded with hatemail from furious fans of Ayres. Most curiously amongst them were missives from the former game show panelist Annabel Giles (@Annabel_Giles) and “Britain’s premiere [sic] Nazi hunter” Alan Stoob (@nazihunteralan). Plainly Ayres is “much loved” in all manner of circles.

Later, a poem came from the woman herself. It reads as follows:

This geezer Matthew Steeples (May he rot in K & C)

Has posted on his twitterfeed a photograph of me

And with my blameless heifers he has held us up to shame,

I may heal in time. The cows will NEVER be the same.

“Blummin’ ‘ell:” I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Never could I have imagined that I’d find myself immortalised in a poem by Pam Ayres.

Learn more about Pam Ayres at: http://www.pamayres.com or follow her on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/ayrespam She might even pen a verse in your honour if you’re, erm, lucky.

This supposed “First Lady of Comedy” spouts lines like: “He had a bull name Floyd, but he was unemployed.” How long did it take her to come up with that? Her appearances on Radio 4 and elsewhere are peppered with references to “blummin’ people” and how she’s “stuck all [she] can stick.” Could someone please put her out to pasture before all our eardrums burst?

  • “Enjoy”: an overused word

    “Enjoy”: an overused word

    It’s just not “enjoyable”

In a five star hotel last week, a waitress followed the delivery of every course with the phrase: “Please enjoy.” My guest and I commented on it each time and today, on a show named Come Dine With Me, I noticed that a hostess included the word “enjoy” anytime she did anything. I felt like throwing something at the television every time she uttered a word to which she really did not attach any genuine meaning to.

Saatchi & Saatchi’s “Enjoy Responsibly.” advert for Renault

Coca Cola base their marketing primarily around the use of the word “enjoy” also and an advertising campaign for Renault by Saatchi & Saatchi focuses on responsible enjoyment. Frankly, though, it’s reached a point where this word has simply been used too often and too insincerely.

Of course we all wish to “enjoy” what we are doing, but please could the overuse of this word just cease? Everyone will find any experience vastly more enjoyable as a result.

    Enjoy!

Dion met her husband and manager, René Angélil, when she was 12. Her rise has been meteoric and she’s now one of the richest women in showbiz. Whether she’s “Falling into You” or “Taking Chances,” however, there’s just something utterly irritating about her demeanour. Please could someone send in an iceberg? This Titanic of a voice needs to sink.
