Theresa May should be ashamed of herself for slashing police numbers at this time; she should instead be increasing them
Theresa May was the worst Home Secretary in history and now she is undoubtedly the worst Prime Minister also. She slashed funding for the police and fire services and she sacked as many people as she possibly could. In London alone, the number of police stations will decline from 149 in 2010 to just 32 in 2020.
Turning up in Salisbury yesterday to mark a year since the Novichok attacks there, Mrs May declared: “There is no direct correlation between certain crimes and police numbers.” She is wrong and John Apter, national chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales is right to state:
“I am really staggered beyond belief that the leader of this country has got her head so firmly stuck in the sand that she is not seeing the reality in front of her. It really is a very bad situation.”
“She again continues to have this contempt for the police and those that deliver policing by saying we have to question the responses to these case.”
With a stabbing epidemic on our streets and the threat of a rise in looting if Brexit does proceed, May should be increasing police numbers not reducing it. Shame on her and shame on her sorry excuse for a government.

I cannot understand her logic. She is plainly wrong.
It sounds like very clever policy’s she has, Crime increases, so we cut Police numbers. We have one of the worst fire disasters in London’s history, so we cut the fire services. I can’t believe the incompetence of this woman, and how she is still holding this job. Safety on the streets and in the home would never concern her, she can’t even go to the bathroom without being surrounded by security. I wonder how she would feel if she was on her own in the middle of the night, with some undesirable trying to break in. Only to be told by the emergency operator, “I’m sorry we don’t have a unit in your area, one will be available soon”
