Matthew Steeples condemns London4Europe for ludicrously publishing an article comparing Brexit to the “treatment” of the Duchess of Sussex; the two are frankly mutually exclusive
On Friday, London4Europe published a blog article by some named Sharon Leclercq-Spooner that was frankly one of the most ridiculous pieces of drivel I’ve ever read.
In it, Leclerq-Spooner bizarrely compared “beaten into submission” Prince Harry to the Ancient Greek god of the sky, lightning and thunder Zeus and his wife to the virgin Phoenician princess Europa. She suggested the former Meghan Markle to be a “target of unabashed xenophobia” in a manner akin to Hitler “whipping up” Germans to vote for him in 1933 and argued that the royal couple were being “bullied, attacked, rubbished, belittled [and] dismissed” in a similar way to the treatment of those opposing Brexit.
Frankly, as a well-known ‘Remoaner,’ even I thought this a step too far. Ms Leclerq-Spooner’s argument is beyond bonkers. In fact, it’s off the scale nuts; it’s totally deranged. Brexit has utterly nothing to do with ‘MegExit’ and the whole of London4Europe should hold its head in shame for making an utter fool of all of those of us who campaigned against Britain leaving the European Union.

Do you really think the majority are against Megain because of her skin colour you moron? Try reading the news I don’t think her skin colour has ever been an issue, nor should.
Thank you for including the link to Ms. Leclercq-Spooner’s blog article, I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from London2Europe. Perhaps you glazed over the classics in your studies, but I had no issue following her train of thought. Of course what unifies the two completely separate topics – Brexit & the latest Royal Scandal – is the ‘bullying’ and ‘malicious’ nature of some sensationalist journalists. Ms Leclercq-Spooner suggests we call them out…sound familiar Steeples?
