News presenter Tori Campbell falls for fake names hoax
A reporter who incorrectly named the crew of a plane that crashed in San Francisco as Sum Ting Wong, Wi Tu Lo, Ho Lee Fuk and Bang Ding Ow had to be our Wally of the Week.
KTVU news anchor Tori Campbell has to be one of the stupidest people on the planet if she didn’t realise that whoever made up these names meant to imply that there was:

I feel sorry for Ms Campbell. Her NEWS PRODUCER was the one who failed to pick up the “joke”. Even if she had had her doubts, she would be obligated to carry on with the newscast! PSYou do not have much time to think when the stuff is handed to you to present especially at the last minute. I know. I have been there!…
Wise words but given the offence caused to the victims, after reading the first two, she should surely have stopped. You are right. Producer is culpable ahead of her though.
Unfortunately, her career in broadcasting is over.
