Self-styled teenage millionaire playboy exposed as a fake
Earlier this week, the mainstream media were duped into believing a 17-year old they termed a “Rich Kid of Instagram” owned seven luxury cars worth £1.7 million and a £500,000 watch. It turned out that the story was largely invented.
Reports that Jack Watkin from Cheshire owned a Rolls-Royce, two Bentleys, two Mercedez-Benzs, a Range Rover Vogue and a Porsche circulated widely and of negative comments about him being spoilt, the teenager responded: “I’m used to people being jealous of me – whether they’re teenagers or adults. I can handle all the envy”.

Yesterday, however, The Sun revealed that Watkin – whose mother lives in a modest semi-detached house – had simply used stock images on Instagram and suggested that claims “that he has all these cars at his fingertips are just rubbish”.
In a video shared by Metro, Watkin asked: “Where’s your dignity?” of followers who have requested he gift them money. He has now limited who can see his social media feeds and may now want to ask himself that very same question.
