A new interpretation of the pancake
You can always rely on the team at the Belgraves hotel to come up with innovative marketing ideas and in their creation for Pancake Day, they’ve excelled again.

Bar manager Marcus Schelbert and chef Hamzet’s creation is a combination of a pancake with bananas and chocolate and a cocktail made with Buffalo Trace, maple syrup, pineapple juice and Angostura bitters.
Two stories to keep beside you

The queen of burgers
Sophie Michell’s unbeatable burger It’s hard to get a burger right and each and every one of us has a particular way we like them served. Sophie Michell, executive chef at the Belgraves – A Thompson Hotel, is a lady who understands this and one whose version is amongst the best I’ve tried.
Available until Sunday, this clever offering is priced at £19. Its name? “The Punkcake”. Johnny Rotten would be proud.

The Pancake on offer from the Belgraves Hotel will undoubtedly appeal to many tastes, however, a single pancake will not do me, I ate 12 pancakes dipped in syrup with the greatest of ease and went back for second helpings. But I was considered a man’s man. It was during the days logging in a Boarding House, it was self catering, but they did supply the cutlery and utensils. I will give it a miss, back in the day we separated the men from the boys.
I’m definitely up for trying that. What a jolly idea.
