A Bactrian camel named Jeffrey who loves a pint
When we heard about a beer loving Bactrian camel named Jeffrey, we just had to make an image of him our Picture of the Week.

Eleven year-old Jeffrey, owned by Simon and Elizabeth Grant, was imported from Holland seven years ago as a birthday present for the couple’s son, Tom. Mrs Grant commented:

“I read that camels like beer so I thought I’d see if Jeffrey did and he loves it. The landlord of the local pub brings it up here for him”.
The eleven foot high, North Yorkshire based Bactrian favours Budweiser and Coors and cost Mr and Mrs Grant £3,000. The beast’s beer bills, inevitably, have already been much higher.
