Described as “one of the nicest guys on London’s club and bar scene”, Kester Thomas worked at Kitts, the Buddha Bar and The Sanderson. His drink making ability was second to none. This “truly unique gentleman” passed far too young but he’s definitely now mixing the finest cocktails in the sky.

Went to school with Kester in Essex. Kester was a truly lovely bloke through and through. Sad, sad news. Thoughts are with his family.

An accident near Chelsea bridge involving Kester on a Scooter colliding with a car. He sadly didn’t survive his injuries and didn’t make it to hospital. Very sad !!!
very pained to hear of this sad, tregic news. Why these wonderful, kind, generous and gentle souls get delt such cards in life, I will never know… I knew Kester very well from the days when I worked at my mums pub, The Rose & Crown in Old Park lane, and Kester worked at the Met bar, the days when he started out as a mixologist. What a talented guy! such pure passion and natural flair. There was a big group of us who worked in the area and all hung out together at my mums pub between and after our shifts. What a great community we had! We kept in touch after all those years, and recall those days as probably some of the best days of our lives! Kester was a big part of that with us. We will miss him terribly, and send our love and support to his family. We raise a glass to you Kester! very much loved and never to be forgotten… x

I am very sad to read this , at this moment I am crying, Kester was my collegue at the Metropolitan Hotel, I was security officer at The Metropolitan Hotel, and remember he always made coffee for me when I had early morning schifts.
He was such a lovely and warm guy.

I was just listening to a song that reminded me of kester and googled to see what he was up to. I had no idea. We used to collect advertisment milk bottles and stash them in a war bunker at the bottom of his parents garden. Tragic. Sad
