A one-time supporter and former fiancée of Charles Manson, Afton Elaine Burton moved from Illinois to Corcoran, California to be closer to a man she believed to be innocent. Born into a devout family of Baptists, Burton copied female members of the Manson family in carving an “X” into her forehead but was disowned by the serial killer in February 2015 after he discovered that she only wanted to marry him in order to “just use his corpse for display in a glass case in Los Angeles” as a tourist attraction. At least she didn’t express desires of necrophilia towards this beastly creature.
