‘The Telegraph’ strikes again

‘The Daily Telegraph’s’ expose of yet another rule breaking MP is something to celebrate

The Daily Telegraph is a newspaper that isn’t afraid to expose scandals and that should indeed be celebrated.

Patrick Mercer OBE MP

Today, as a result of an investigation by the newspaper (in partnership with the BBC’s Panorama) into lobbying, a Conservative MP named Patrick Mercer has resigned and referred himself to Parliament’s standards commissioner.

Having myself been impressed by the same newspaper’s investigation into the activities of a woman named Lady Meyer several years ago, I can testify that Daily Telegraph journalists are diligent, professional and impressive. This indeed is just the kind of investigative journalism this country needs.

  1. Agreed….but we can refrain from always ‘celebrating’ this or that…whether cultural diversity or whatever.
    Others that are hateful are
    He is a personal friend
    Ad hominen
    Move on
    reach out
    Get over it
    What part of…..
    Celebrate cultural diversity

  2. Mercer should not be a MP any longer , it sounds like he resigned from his conservative seat but can remain a MP nevertheless?
