Current squeeze of the chlorinated chicken and yellow discount sticker loving Brexiteer Richard Tice MEP Isabel Oakeshott was snapped this week by an eagle eyed reader at the launch of Jacob’s Ladder, an unauthorised biography of Jacob Rees-Mogg by Lord Ashcroft.

Oakeshott – a woman who is best known not (as she claims) as “journalist” but instead as a “lobbyist who carries a poison pen” – looked “somewhat sexualised for such a formal political gathering” according to our source. She stood, thus, rather appropriately, next to a Conservative politician best known for his liking of lapdancing bars, the most especially pugnacious John Whittingdale MP. Perhaps the pair should have got a room.
