    On ‘Unlockdown Day 2021’ the Truro branch of Wetherspoons was empty; given its owner Tim Martin’s joy in banning just about everything, could anybody be surprised?

    Wetherspoons pub chain owner Tim Martin is a bore, a braggart and an on-off Boris Johnson groupie. This deservedly disliked dimwit is known for ranting in support of Brexit and not allowing European alcohol brands to be served in his venues and in January 2020, the draconian drip even “limited customers with children to just two alcoholic drinks each.” This laughable lunatic even once went as far as to put a stop to champagne on the basis of where it has to be made.

     

    Prior to these decidedly deranged decisions, 66-year-old Martin banned dogs both inside and outside his pubs (on the basis that his workers “are sick of picking up poop”) and then added social media usage to his list of things prohibited across all premises. Here is a man whom claimed to dislike the rules of the EU, but here also is one obsessed with creating ridiculous rules of his own.

     

    Yesterday, when British pubs were finally allowed to reopen after the easing of the third lockdown and patrons flocked to bars to get pissed, the public took rightful revenge on Tim Martin.

     

    Featured in an article by a trainee reporter for Cornwall Live named Edward Church, the Truro branch of the painfully picky chain, a dirty looking dump named Try Dowr, “wasn’t met with a stampede” on reopening and nor did it get “much of a fanfare.”

     

    “By 7.30am, no one had shown up,” commented Church, before adding: “A few passersby seemed tempted… [But] none of them stuck around in chilly, windy Lemon Square for their chance of a cheap pint, and they wandered off to Pannier Market and elsewhere on the square… Time passed, however, and no queue materialised.”

     

    Diddums to Tim Martin and perhaps a warning also: Nobody likes a killjoy and frankly nobody wanted to return to his funless dumps when freedom allowed. Perhaps it’s time for ‘Dim Tim’ to relax his ridiculous rules and turn his pubs back into places people might actually enjoy. Next!

Plainly, the impact of tiresome Tim Martin’s ridiculous rules proved to the contrary on ‘Unlockdown Day 2021.’
    A Wetherspoons Washout 2021 – In July 2020, just before lockdown restrictions were for the first time relaxed, the @SteepleTimes Twitter account shared this clip of “a male and a female are seen staggering up and falling down a staircase whilst, frankly, p***ed out of their skulls” and accompanied it with the caption: “Two J. D. Wetherspoons customers at 3pm tomorrow.” It went viral and was liked by nearly 500 people and shared by nearly 200 also.

Some strangely actually supported Tim Martin, but the majority expressed sentiments such as: “That’s Wetherspoons for you, the locals are good judges. Actually a piece of half decent journalism from ‘Cornwall Live’ for once.”

We should not have long to wait.”

    Internationally infamous Handforth parish council member Brendan Murphy faces jail for calling his neighbours “perverted” and a “tart” and a “peeping Tom”

    Handforth parish council became infamous in December when a “doughty clerk” named Jackie Weaver mercilessly “kicked out” argumentative male councillors whilst “barely blinking when being yelled at” by them.

     

    By February this year, the council’s meeting were being “dogged by rows again,” but now further scandal has emerged after one of its members, Councillor Brendan Murphy, was convicted of harassing his neighbours over a 13-year period.

     

    Whilst the bickering councillors of Handforth provided light amusement for millions at the height of December’s lockdown, 79-year-old Councillor Murphy it seems is headed to jail for labelling his elderly neighbours “perverts” and “The Tart” and “The Peeping Tom.”

     

    “Maverick” Murphy, currently a member of the Real Independent Group and the “first Macc Tory to ever be sacked” in December 2001 according to the Macclesfield Express, was found guilty of two charges of harassment at Stockport Magistrates’ Court last Friday.

     

    Featured in the Daily Mail earlier this week, Murphy stood accused of “hounding” his neighbours Christopher and Margaret Boyd “with barbed comments after they fell out over a dispute about local gossip… and alleging he was underpaying his council tax.”

     

    With police called on over 19 separate occasions, Murphy – whom unsuccessfully (unsurprisingly) stood for Parliament for the Conservative Party in the Vale of Clywd in 2001 – Mr Murphy told the court:

     

    “I call Mr Boyd a ‘Peeping Tom’ and his wife a ‘Tart’ for a good reason and I think my legal response is justifiable.”

     

    “I saw a CCTV camera on the wall filming me and I jokingly said, ‘I see you are a peeping Tom.’ I also said: ‘Mind you don’t fall off that roof, I cannot give you the kiss of life,’ but that was a joke too.”

     

    “On one of the occasions, I was out with my dog. Mr and Mrs Boyd were walking down the road hand in hand swinging their arms looked very happy.”

     

    “I said: ‘I’m glad to see you are so happy’ but instead of crossing the road she lurched into me and the dog whimpered in pain and that is when I called her a tart.”

     

    “I think they are making a big deal out of this. I do not do it every day. I am an elected active councillor and I do a lot of community work.”

     

    “There have been instances where I did say in response to them and they would stare, laugh, and sneer.”

     

    “Mr Boyd is a very active DIY man with improving the garden, etc. His garage is his workshop, and he makes a loud noise that I do not want to hear.”

     

    “People use the word ‘tart’ in lots of different ways and I will continue calling them a Peeping Tom and a tart as long as the cameras are still there.”

     

    “I say these words 100 times when I see the cameras and it just gets it off my chest. There are nastier things I could say.”

     

    Responding after being convicted, Murphy of 6 Hilton Road, Disley, Cheshire, SK12 2JU “confirmed that he intends to remain as a Cheshire East councillor” and boldly declared: “An immediate appeal will be launched, I am confident the conviction will be overturned.”

     

    Previously, in April 2012, Brendan Murphy was found guilty of harassing Mr and Mrs Boyd. At that time he was fined £300 for harassment, ordered to pay £1,500 in court costs and given a restraining order prohibiting “him from speaking to or making gestures at the Boyds,” according to Macclesfield Live.

     

    Murphy, the kind of person even “snitchin’” Priti Patel wouldn’t welcome to her street, will be sentenced on 26th April. He remains on unconditional bail until then, but will go down in history with the likes of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Zipporah Lisle-Mainwaring as an ultimate neighbour from hell.

    After we featured the story of a monster whose husband bought her the ‘opportunity’ to slaughter a harmless giraffe on Sunday and began a Change.org petition seeking to ban Merelize van der Merwe from Facebook, it went viral.

     

    Today, in spite of the Mirror, Unilad and The Sun featuring our petition against the citrus farming freak, van der Merwe audaciously announced: “I created work for 11 people that day… And a lot of meat for the locals.”

     

    Worse still, ignoring international outrage about what she so callously did, in a 1:34-minute video that YouTube has disgracefully allowed to remain live, van der Merwe has shared footage of herself killing the giraffe “on a private farm in Smartwater, Limpopo.” She accompanied it with a tune by Johnny Clegg titled Scatterlings of Africa and the following captions:

     

    “Shot with a 30-06. Perfect frontal neck shot!”

     

    “The second rifle was a .450 Rigby. Was awesome to do my coup de grace, even if it wasn’t necessary!”

     

    “Thank you to my wonderful husband and my PH Chrisjan Bakker!”

    After we picked up on the story of a monster named Merelize van der Merwe massacring a giraffe and then posing with its heart, it went viral. In the last 24 hours, this heartless horror has appeared in The Sun, the Daily Mail and the Independent and seizing upon this The Steeple Times started a petition to seek to persuade Facebook to ban her.

     

    Posted on Change.org, our petition reads:

     

    Merelize van der Merwe (@Merelizevdm) has 80,600 likes and 97,700 followers on Facebook.

     

    On her “public figure” page, this monster shares images of the endangered species she massacres. Amongst them are giraffes, elephants and leopards.

     

    She also shares imagery and videos of herself covered in blood, of dead children and her and her fellow barbarians chopping up their victims.

     

    Why does Facebook, a supposed site with family values, allow this? Instead, they should do the decent thing: Ban her.

     

    Today, we ask that our readers come together to sign this to help put a stop to this vile woman’s celebration of slaying and slaughter.     The notice pictured stated:

    “Along with 322 other Conservative MPs, he voted against extending free meals for kids.”

    Whilst elsewhere even usually amongst the right wing drum bangers Nigel Farage and Sarah Vine – whom condemned the policy stating: “Short of drowning a basket of puppies live on air, I can’t think of a worse communications fail” this morning – shot down the “Marcus Rashford/free school meals debacle,” another image that went viral summed up the policy perfectly.

     

    Featuring a shot of the Tory leader and chancellor of in the House of Commons, it was accompanied by Boris Johnson asking: “Rishi, what’s the new slogan to follow ‘Eat Out to Help Out’?” and Sunak replying: “Starve a Kid to Save a Quid.”

     

    Shame on the lot of them.

    Of the story, one Dein Moore remarked: “Saddam Hussein being sold on wish for $20 is peak 2020, stop outdoing yourself please, I’ve had my fill” whilst another, Nathan Vickery, added: “Can’t believe the U.S. spent all that time going after Saddam Hussein when they could have ordered him off wish for $20.”

    Lenin Gutierrez was a just man doing his job. This aspiring dancer was working at a Starbucks coffee shop in San Diego, California as a barista simply in order to fund his dream. He was harming no one, but after he politely asked a ‘Karen’ (the new way of describing a “self-righteous white woman”) if she’d mind following the current state rules and wear a face mask, he was met with a tirade of abuse and subjected to an attempted ‘shaming’ on Facebook.

     

    Unluckily for the aggressor, one Amber Lynn Gilles, her stunt backfired. Instead, she is now the one who has found herself subject to ridicule, whilst a fundraiser to ‘tip’ Gutierrez has raised an astonishing £60,000 ($75,000, €66,000 or درهم272,000) on GoFundMe.

     

    In response, humble Gutierrez remarked:

     

    “Everyone, I just want to say thank you for all the love and support and what everyone is doing, it is an honour to see all this happen. But I just want to remind everyone, to be kind to one another and to love each other.”

     

    Speaking to People.com, he continued:

     

    “She started cursing up a storm, she started calling people sheep and she left. And then after a few minutes, she came back and she asked for my name. I said it was Lenin and she took a photo of me and said: ‘I’m calling corporate’ and then she started cursing some more. She was cursing at everyone. And then this time, she left and this time, for good. And I thought that would be the end of it and I didn’t know it was going to come to this.”

     

    “I wanted to become a dancer and help dancers. I wanted to help before the quarantine happened. I was a teacher for kids and I just want to be able to show dance to others and show them how much I love it and how much it affected me. If I can show that to someone else, that would be amazing. I would like it to help change their life, like it changed mine.”

     

    “With this GoFundMe donation that everyone provided me with, I can make these dreams reality. I can fuel my passions even better now. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for it. It’s just amazing to see that I can actually make these dreams of pursuing more into dance a thing now. Thank you so much for it.”

     

    Meanwhile, Gilles has continued to show herself to be a bigoted berk. On Monday (along with enough grammatical and spelling errors to sink a battleship), this ignoramus predictably took to Facebook to continue her tirade. On her wall, she wrote:

     

    “I am not scarred or bothered by your ignorant fraud ass’s, not so sorry you losers got nothing better to do. thanks for the ratings. [Two fingers emoji] you all act like the terrorist organization you are.”

     

    According to news reports, this “unlikeable” woman has gone further and is now demanding a portion of the money raised for her own rotten self. Lenin Gutierrez is too much of a gentleman to say it himself, but we very much hope Amber Lynn Gilles is royally told to ‘BOG OFF!’

    White woman Kris Schatzel caught posing with a ‘Black Lives Matter’ sign in a “slutty” outfit is exposed as a clickbait crazy ‘Protest Barbie’

    “Stop treating the protests like Coachella pt. 17” raged ‘Influencers in the Wild’ of a white woman posing for her personal photographer with a ‘Black Lives Matters’ sign on a Zebra crossing. She was wearing what The Independent far too generously termed a “black floaty gown” in a video of the incident, posted on Twitter on Friday.

     

    The woman’s dress – which most certainly “looked more like a slutty slapper’s sloppy seconds” and left little of her cleavage to the imagination – attracted great interest from the 157,000 followers of the account. With 15.7 million views, 400,000 likes and 6,600 retweets within 24 hours, here was an example of the social media loving millennial generation at its very worst.

     

    This morning’s Mirror subsequently named and shamed the “model” as Kris Schatzel and the photographer as Mila Voyna. The paper claimed the Russian had generated “mass outrage” and then after declaring: “This is a huge misunderstanding!!!     The true reach and usefulness of social media was illustrated on Sunday after the murder of a 22-year-old unarmed man named James Scurlock in Omaha, Nebraska the previous night.

    Whilst initially (at time of publishing at GMT 18:45, just hours after the alleged shooter, a cocktail bar owner named Jake Gardner, had “bailed out [of custody] at 6am” according to one local), no mainstream media outlets were reporting on the story, a GoFundMe page to support Mr Scurlock’s grieving family had gone viral.

     

    It read:

     

    We are creating this fundraiser for James Scurlock and his family.

     

    Who is James Scurlock?

     

    A 22 years old young black man who showed his dedication a love for his people every single day.

     

    James was passionate for Justice, but today his fight ended as he was shot and killed downtown Omaha while protesting for the same Justice he deserves.

     

    May you Rest In Peace James.

     

    Within just seven hours of being made live, the page had raised over £32,000 ($40,000) for the late Mr Scurlock’s family whilst elsewhere on Twitter, filmed footage of the incident had gone viral. In it, gunshot can clearly be heard whilst other images shared include one of the alleged killer Jake Gardner posing with President Donald Trump.

     

    A GoFundMe “defense fund organised by friends of Jake [Gardner]” meanwhile was swiftly quite rightly taken down, whilst one Tyler Allen of Pro Sports Extra widely shared the #JusticeForJames campaign. Mr Gardner previously made headlines for negative comments about transgender people and has been termed a “known white supremacist” by many on social media also.

    Racehorse trainer Jamie Osborne’s website includes the amusing disclaimer: “Jamie is always keen to hear from new clients but please do not contact us if you are a bad loser, slow payer or looking for gambling information.” Now, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, he’s taken his humour online and it has gone viral.

     

    When he came to realise that “part of [his] job isn’t there” because of the lockdown, Lambourn Valley, Berkshire based Osborne – whom describes himself as an “overrated jockey, underrated trainer [and] Spielberg wannabe” to his nigh on 40,000 followers on Twitter – began filming amusing skits with his staff and posting them to his social media accounts.

     

    Amongst the “daft and unorthodox things” Osborne and his staff have filmed thus far are Riverdance style Irish dancing in the yard and jockeys singing Clean Bandit’s Rather Be and Randy Newman’s You’ve Got a Friend in Me to the horses and of this morale boosting exercise, speaking to The Telegraph on Saturday, he remarked:

     

    “It’s been a good exercise in keeping up yard spirit. Even if we didn’t put them out on Twitter and just shared them around among ourselves. They see it, a few more wanted to be in them, and now everyone enjoys making them.”

     

    “I have 30 staff turn up every day and the rewards that they normally get are not there, so the making of films… has created a lot of fun and also shows what great riders they are.”
