An update on the allegedly homeless Heathrow duo Alan Lane and Katrina Smith
Our follow-up stories on the case of Alan Lane and Katrina Smith, the couple who claimed to be “homeless at Heathrow”, went viral this week and in the time since, the couple either withdrew or had their appearance on ITV1’s Loose Women cancelled. More importantly, the gofundme page set up in their honour has now begun to make repayments to those who donated nearly £10,000 to help “turn their lives around”.

As our readers have also pointed out, the Mail Online have now removed hundreds of comments from their articles on Lane and Smith whilst, equally, Martin Robbins in the New Statesman commented “there is no obvious reason to explain why they can’t move out of Terminal 2 tomorrow morning, cancel their furniture storage, and live a normal life”.

‘Middle-class homeless Heathrow couple’s’ views on housing others exposed

Go, fund, gone
As the gofundme fundraising page for the alleged “Heathrow homeless duo” Alan Lane and Katrina Smith is removed, many ask: “Where has the money raised for them gone?”
Given this dubious pair have now jeopardised their alleged Heathrow ‘existence’ as security staff at the airport are bound to have seen their mugshots, what will they do next? Alan Lane and Katrina Smith are most definitely ‘Heathrowed out’ but plainly this is a saga that is far from over.
