The Devil tweets

Should prisoners like Giovanni Di Stefano be allowed access to social media?

Convicted conman Giovanni Di Stefano is in jail for 14 years for committing a £3 million fraud yet today we purportedly received a tweet from him.

This bogus lawyer – who used to boast about being involved with such people as convicted paedophile Jonathan King, serial killer Dr Harold Shipman and timeshare fraudster John ‘Goldfinger’ Palmer – has, it seems, a blog detailing his experiences inside prison and is also using Twitter to put out such statements as “Who did I kill?”

Prison is meant to be a place where individuals are punished and one where they are also given opportunity to reform their ways. It is plain from reading Di Stefano’s blog that he has no regret for his actions and it is shocking that our custodial services allow people such as him – if this indeed the case – access to technology that gives them the ability to write such drivel.

Whatever next? Will Her Majesty’s Prison Service begin allowing convicted, imprisoned rapists to tweet their victims?

    1. Perhaps Chris Grayling’s constituents in Epsom and Ewell can get some clarity on this matter. He is guaranteed to be challenged in 2015. He is a real old soft teddy bear regarding Law and Order.
