As it emerges that the Germans are taking the biscuit and the prospect of Christian Brueckner being charged in the Madeleine McCann case has slimmed further, isn’t it time that this pointless £14 million investigation was closed down?
After Matthew Steeples of The Steeple Times and Alexis Parr and Richard Eden of the Daily Mail shared an appeal for a missing friend, William Cookson, useful leads poured in that helped lead to his location being identified. Wonderfully, William was subsequently found, but meanwhile the Metropolitan Police – a force rightly currently being analysed for its gross incompetence – continue their charade of ‘investigating’ the ‘disappearance’ of Madeleine McCann.
With £14 million thrown already down the Thomas Crapper by that incompetent set of officers on a search for a child that would have been found given some nefarious sort would have come forward to trade some other nefarious sort in given the rewards on offer, it wasn’t surprising this morning when The Mirror – one of the few papers to report honestly on this case – shared news that the chances of the definitely vile sex offender Christian Brueckner has slimmed further.
In an “exclusive” article about how the German – referenced in many titles just as ‘Christian B’ – likely faces charges of a number of other sex offences, Patrick Hill and Rob Hill for the paper claimed: “There is no end in sight for the Maddie probe itself.”
Hans Christian Wolters, the head of the inquiry into the ‘disappearance’ of the child of Gerry and Kate McCann in Germany, added: “The investigation into Maddie is still ongoing. A conclusion is not insight. I really can’t say how long the investigation will take. It is also not certain whether an indictment can be made in the end.”
Previously and also writing for the red-top, Jerry Lawton and Ryan Merrifield revealed: “There is no evidence that the prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann case was responsible for her disappearance, claims an investigator. Ex-detective Mark Williams-Thomas says the then-toddler’s real abductor will now likely get away with it due to the narrow-minded focus on Christian Brueckner.”
Will Christian Brueckner ever be charged with the kidnapping/abuse/murder of Madeleine McCann or is this just another distraction to suit the narrative of Gerry and Kate McCann, the Met Police and others? #MadeleineMcCann#McCann#ChristianBrueckner#ChristianB#MetPolice
Missing Madeleine – Questions STILL without Answers
Many questions about what happened on the evening of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann remain. Some that have been highlighted by the press and discussed online include:
Why did Kate McCann refuse to answer 48 questions put to her by the Portuguese police?
Why were certain records of phone calls on the evening of the disappearance “whoosh-clunked” from the memories of the phones of Mr and Mrs McCann and the ‘Tapas 7’?
Why did a British sniffer dog sense the smell of a corpse in a cupboard in the apartment from which Madeleine McCann disappeared?
Why did a sniffer dog also supposedly sense the smell of a corpse in a vehicle hired by the couple a month after the disappearance of their daughter?
Why did Mr and Mrs McCann go jogging and play tennis in the days after their daughter’s disappearance?
Was it acceptable for Mr and Mrs McCann’s mortgage to be paid by the fund established to search for their missing daughter?
Kate McCann – a woman who went running, played tennis and dined on chicken and mushroom risotto and egg and watercress salads washed down with strawberry vodka with the paedophile Sir Clement Freud in the days after her daughter ‘disappeared’ – has a clear touch of the Duchess of Sussex about her. Like ‘MeGain,’ whom banged on that “not many people have asked if I’m OK,” Mrs McCann said in 2011: “Officers walked past us as if we weren’t there. Nobody asked how we were doing, whether we were okay. Our child had been stolen and I felt as if I didn’t exist.”Living it Large – Gerry McCann enjoying a round of golf (left); Kate McCann at Downing Street, London hobnobbing with Missing People CEO Martin Houghton-Brown, the Duchess of Gloucester and the then Home Secretary Theresa May on 23rd May 2012 (right).Amongst those to have supported the McCanns have been especially gobby attention seekers including job wrecker Sir Richard Branson, “Chanel-clad” charity begins at home tin banger Baroness (Catherine) Meyer and her pompous arsehole late ex-husband Sir Christopher and job wrecking grabber Sir Philip Green.
In December 2017, when £11 million of British taxpayers’ money had been spent towards the search for ‘missing’ Madeleine McCann, 86% of viewers of ITV1’s ‘Loose Women’ said the public purse should cease to fund the investigation. Now, in September 2022, with that sum now well in excess of £14 million (aside from the millions in private money also), it is time to allocate resources to the search for missing people who actually can be found, we would suggest.
Oxford born former secretary of Ghislaine Maxwell sues ‘Miami Herald’ journalist Julie K. Brown for defamation; actress Emmy Tayler, daughter of a retired Oxford professor, perhaps should have been in ‘Inspector Morse’ instead of getting involved with the mucky madam
Whenever Oxford is mentioned, one naturally thinks of the oldest university in the English-speaking world, its eponymous dictionary and Inspector Morse, amongst other things.
Whilst the latter conjures images of Detective Chief Inspector Endeavour Morse’s involvement with classical music and calamitous murders, the county town of Oxfordshire – which dates back to the Saxon period and has been the principal site for the production of Mini cars since 2000 – this 17 square mile city represented by Labour’s Anneliese Dodds MP’s connections with Ghislaine Maxwell were further revealed this week.
Now, on Tuesday, another of Maxwell’s Oxford connections, her former secretary, Emmy Tayler, announced via lawyers AXS Law Group, PLLC that she is to sue the Miami Herald journalist Julie K. Brown and the publisher of her 2021 book Perversion of Justice: The Jeffrey Epstein Story, HarperCollins Publishers LLC for “publishing false and defamatory statements.”
Seeking a sum of in excess of £62,700 ($75,000, €73,600 or درهم275,400), Ms Tayler – who describes herself on IMBD as Oxford born and the daughter of a “recently retired professor” from there – claims Brown to have caused her “to suffer shame, humiliation, mental anguish and hurt feelings.” She adds that the journalist’s statements have “severely impacted and affected [her] mental health” in a 7-page document filed at the United States District Court Southern District of Florida on Tuesday 19th July 2022.
Going further, in the filing and denying Brown’s accusations that she aided in Epstein’s abuse, Tayler states that she was employed in London and then New York by Ghislaine Maxwell between 1997 and 2001. She specifically states that she did not work for Maxwell at the time of an incident Brown alleged her to be involved with Jane Doe 1 in Palm Beach, Florida in 2005 and demands the book be recalled.
Aside from having grown up in the same city as Ghislaine Maxwell, it is not known how the two actually met. Ms Tayler, who supposedly now lives in London according to her undated IMBD biography but potentially has lived somewhere else entirely since August 2020 if the New York Post is to be believed, “studied at Millfield School, where she was a Music Scholar. She pursued her passion for the violin, piano, singing, horseback riding, drama and karate. She attended The University of Westminster where she achieved a B/A Honors and a Degree in Commercial Music that was followed by the Central School of Speech and Drama, London. Shortly thereafter Emmy immigrated to New York, then to Los Angeles.”
Pictured top (left to right) – Former secretary and actress Emmy Tayler, incarcerated nonce Ghislaine Maxwell and late actor John Thaw as Detective Chief Inspector Endeavour Morse.
‘Miami Herald’ journalist and author Julie K. Brown, 61, has long had deep involvement in the Epstein-Maxwell story. She was included in ‘Time’ magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People of 2020’ and saw her book ‘Perversion of Justice: The Jeffrey Epstein Story’ published in July 2021. Emmy Tayler claims statements made in the book falsely identify “her as a co-conspirator, aider and abettor, facilitator and/or assistant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse pyramid scheme” and argues that she lived in Los Angeles and not Palm Beach in 2005 – the year in which Brown references her as “[arranging] Epstein’s massage schedule.”According to a tweet sent by @CultStateDotCom on 1st December 2021 and taken from flight records that have been disputed by some, Maxwell’s PA Emmy Tayler flew on Epstein’s planes 190 times whilst the since croaked paedophile’s PA Sarah Kellen took 350 flights. His former girlfriend, Eva Andersson Dubin, took ‘just’ 36 flights whilst the since croaked paedophile sex trafficker Jean-Luc Brunel is said to have taken 34 flights, Gleen Dubin 27 and President Bill Clinton an astonishing 26.Both Ghislaine Maxwell and Dame Cressida Dick grew up and were educated in the ‘City of Dreaming Spires.’ Though Dame Cressida does not appear in the former’s address book, their connections during their formative years surely must have meant that their paths crossed – especially since the former Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis’ father was the senior tutor at the very college, Balliol, where both ladies studied.Headington Hill Hall was the scene of many an event hosted by the Maxwell family during their 32 years of renting it from the local council. It was built in 1824 for the Morrell family, local brewers, and was visited by Oscar Wilde – “gaudily dressed as Prince Rupert” – for an “all-night fancy dress May Ball” on 1st May 1878. The building now has housed a law school since 1992.Others who made connections with the wicked wastrel woman we believe to be the controller of the sex trafficking and blackmail operation in the city where she grew up and was educated were Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his journalist sister, Rachel Johnson. In November 2021, in ‘The Spectator,’ Ms Johnson remarked: “It’s hard not to feel a batsqueak of pity for Ghislaine Maxwell… As a fresher I wandered into Balliol JCR one day in search of its subsidised breakfast granola-and-Nescafé offering and found a shiny glamazon with naughty eyes holding court astride a table, a high-heeled boot resting on my brother Boris’s thigh. She gave me a pitying glance but I did manage to snag an invite to her party in Headington Hill Hall – even though I wasn’t in the same college as her and Boris. I have a memory of her father, Bob, coming out in a towelling robe and telling us all to go home. I’m sure fairweather friends would not reveal they went to a Ghislaine Maxwell party: as Barbara Amiel’s brilliant memoir ‘Friends and Enemies’ proves, you only know who your real chums are when you’re in the gutter.”John Thaw as Detective Chief Inspector Morse – based on the novels of Colin Dexter – starred in 33 two-hour episodes produced between 1987 and 2000. Based primarily in the university city, the detective drama featured a theme and incidental music by Barrington Pheloung and was followed by spinoffs including ‘Lewis’ and ‘Endeavour.’ What the detective would have made of Ghislaine Maxwell – whom if he had been real, he’d surely likely have encountered – would have been most fascinating.
That bleached blonde bisexual bore Michael Fabricant MP thinks it funny to make jokes about a Tory colleague accused of rape shows that he is nothing but a deranged, dimwitted dunce
The bleached blonde bisexual bore that is Michael Fabricant is 71 and he was elected as a Conservative Member of Parliament first in 1992; the Conservative Member of Parliament now shockingly accused and arrested for rape and serious sexual and violent crimes between 2002 and 2009 is in his 50s and was likely first elected in 2001.
Therefore, yesterday, in tweeting: “I am expecting a strong turnout of Conservative MPs at Prime Minister’s Questions today. Not only to demonstrate their strong support for Boris (!!). But also to prove they are not the one told by the Chief Whip to stay at home. I’ll be there! (winking face with tongue emoji),” this noxious nitwit simply made an utter berk of himself.
Subsequently deleted quite rightly after condemnation from all quarters, the Tory twerp – who once tried to get the sick-to-his-core shock jock Michael Savage unbanned from Britain – is clearly at maximum 21 years older than his accused colleague ridiculously responded initially be suggesting those attacking him were “professional offence takers.”
Rightly, according to The Sun, subsequently, this utterly incapable of making his mind up about virtually anything moron got a “dressing down by party whips” but then remarked: “No-one is making light of rape or assault. Far from it. But those who want to read something into a comment will contrive to do so whatever.”
Responding, Labour MP Chris Bryant hit the nail on the head in suggesting that Fabricant’s original tweet clearly “implies rape and sexual are a laughing matter.” He added: “It shows callous disregard for the alleged victims.”
The abhorrent behaviour of “not exclusively gay” buffoon Michael Fabricant – who once laughably called for a pact between the Conservative Party and the fruitcakes that are UKIP and has also been known to yell “bollocks” in the House of Commons during a debate about the impacts of Brexit – has previously been described as “completely unacceptable” and now quite rightly other MPs have called out his latest lunacy as nothing but “grotesque” and “idiotic.”
It is time for this dimwitted dunce to do the decent thing; it is time for the poisonous pugnacious pensioner Michael Fabricant to just bog off and retire in ridicule. Nobody, just nobody anywhere, will miss this jaded joker.
Pictured top – The attention obsessed Member for Lichfield recently wore a blue and yellow tie and badge in support of Ukraine to Parliament, but in doing so – as did the equally attention obsessed former businessman James Stunt in turning up in court in such garb – just made an utter prized berk of himself.
I believe the Speaker is getting undue criticism for not revealing the name of the MP interviewed by the police. In any event, we have seen from the past, when accused people have been found innocent, it is for the Courts to determine guilt not the media especially in rape cases
— Michael Fabricant 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇮🇱🇺🇦 (@Mike_Fabricant) May 19, 2022
On Thursday, the MP for Lichfield added fuel to the fire of his previous debacle on Twitter by tweeting: “I believe the Speaker is getting undue criticism for not revealing the name of the MP interviewed by the police. In any event, we have seen from the past, when accused people have been found innocent, it is for the Courts to determine guilt not the media especially in rape cases.” This dimwitted dunce should do something else: Learn the bloody art of silence. The clearly off-his-not-so-merry rocker MP was filmed cycling naked around Hyde Park in October 2018. Here is someone with no capability for behaving in a right-and-proper fashion and here is someone who the Conservative Party, if it had an ounce of decency left, would simply expel on grounds of decency and good taste. In November 2016, this deranged deviant and self-declared “due” changed his Twitter profile to a naked picture of the former ‘Coronation Street’ actor and former singer Adam Rickitt. Of this, ‘Metro’ declared: “We feel we should point out that this is not actually a photo of Fabricant himself – so don’t worry, you haven’t unwittingly seen his bare arse. This naked man is actually Adam Rickitt, a former Coronation Street actor who tried (and failed) to stand as a Tory MP in 2006… Metro.co.uk has contacted Fabricant’s office to attempt to get to the bottom (…sorry) of this.”In May 2021, the Tory twerp shared a tweet in which he described pro-Palestine demonstrators who clashed with police as “primitives.” As is the norm with this nonsensical numpty, he was subsequently forced to delete the missive after unsurprisingly attracting widespread criticism.
Responding on LBC of the “fellow with the hair,” James O’Brien remarked: “You know what he’s gone and done now… This is unbelievable. I just, I just cannot quite believe it… It follows a big story, it’s a big investigation… You know me, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: They can still shock me, these people. They can still shock me, even after all this time.”
Now she’s been denied a retrial after her conviction for sex trafficking, when will U.S. prosecutors announce whether they’ll definitely now drop Ghislaine Maxwell’s second trial for perjury?
“Our family is profoundly shocked and troubled by the denial of a retrial for our sister, Ghislaine Maxwell” arrogantly began a statement from the Maxwell family issued via Twitter on Thursday following Judge Alison J. Nathan’s decision that ‘Juror 50’ [AKA ‘Scotty David’] was “not impliedly or inferably biased.”
In her opinion and order on 4th April, Judge Nathan added that the juror “testified credibly and truthfully at the post-trial hearing… harbored no bias towards the defendant [Maxwell]” and “served as a fair and impartial juror.”
Responding, the Maxwell family declared they’d be seeking another retrial and raged: “The court’s ruling in this matter is as tainted as the original verdict is unsafe” and added:
“The court – having pre-determined the very narrow parameters of its own post-trial inquiry of Juror 50 about the untruthful answers he provided in the pre-trial juror questionnaire and, further, at the start of that inquiry approved his immunity from prosecution for perjury – effectively ensured the loading of the dice.”
“Relying on a contentious interpretation of “controlling law” the court then required 40 pages to justify its decision to deny the defence’s motion for a retrial stating that ‘…the limits on the nature of the post-trial inquiry serve the important interest in the finality of judgments,’ rather than the upholding of the paramount interests of justice.”
“The fact remains that due to Juror 50’s failure to disclose his own alleged sexual abuse as a child in the pre-trial questionnaire, the Defence was denied the opportunity to question him on these matters at that time or during the recent hearing.”
“This strong issue – the impartial consideration of which is of critical importance in the interests of all Defendants – among many other issues pre-, in- and post-trial, will be presented to the Court of Appeal and, like her legal team, our family is optimistic about Ghislaine’s success on appeal.”
Described later in The List as a family that was “sounding off,” here again we see evidence that both Jeffrey Epstein’s lover turned recruiter of minors and her siblings fail to accept that they are deservedly beat and also that they share the same arrogance as their pension pot plundering papa.
Aside now from sentencing on 28th June – where the mucky madam could get upto 65 years and thus die in the clink – it must be remembered that since she isn’t getting a retrial, Scott Borgerson’s estranged wife will now no longer likely face a second trial for perjury.
Shared via the mocking ‘REALGhizzy’ @MaxPhacts account on Twitter – whose handle is amusingly captioned: “Yes, it’s the REAL me. I’ve just rigged the underwire of my bra and some tin foil to a burner phone so I can add MY side. #Satire” – the government’s position in January was stated as:
“In the event the defendant’s post-trial motions are denied, the government is prepared to dismiss, the government is prepared to dismiss the severed perjury counts at the time of sentencing, in light of the victims’ significant interests in bringing closure to this matter and the trauma of testifying again.”
Of this ‘REALGhizzy’ remarked: “Hmmm? Now that my new trial has been denied, I am going back over fine print. When will we hear if the perjury charges will be dropped? Inquiring, nervous, and shocked minds want to know?”
REALGhizzy’s account regularly mocks the incarcerated mucky madam’s antics. The juror who goes by the name of ‘Scotty David’ most certainly caused havoc through his inattention to the questions he was asked prior to becoming involved in the trial in December last. However, Judge Alison J. Nathan determined that his did not affect his ability to be fair and just.Responding to last week’s BBC ‘House of Maxwell’s’ failure to examine other criminal investigations connected to Prince Andrew’s now incarcerated and convicted criminal and supposed lover, Matthew Steeples again asked why the Metropolitan Police never proceeded with a 1994 investigation where they surveilled the then South Kensington home of Ghislaine Maxwell. At their time, their officers used neighbouring residences to watch the comings and goings of women presumed to be prostitutes and their management by the ‘lady of that house.’
With the arrest of a 60-year-old woman, will the fugitive son of a billionaire alleged killer of Martine Vik Magnussen finally be brought back to Britain to face justice?
The Steeple Times has featured the story of the rape and murder of 23-year-old Martine Vik Magnussen on 14th March 2008 on three occasions – March 2014, March 2016 and March 2017 – and in the time since her suspected killer Farouk Abdulhak has remained at large and disgracefully continued to stick two fingers up to the British justice system. Now, finally, with the arrest of a 60-year-old woman – described as a “significant development” by Scotland Yard – could progress to justice now finally be underway?
Son of a Yemeni business magnate nicknamed ‘The King of Sugar,’ Abdulhak (and himself vulgarly nicknamed ‘DP’ because of his penchant for consuming vast amounts of Dom Perignon champagne) and Norwegian former Mulberry employee Vik Magnussen, both then students at the private Regent’s Business School had spent the evening with friends at the ritzy Maddox Club in Mill Street, Mayfair – a then haunt of what was subsequently described as “the hip Eurotrash cool crowd” by then club promoter Hugo Campbell-Davys.
At around 2am that fateful night, Abdulhak and Vik Magnussen were seen leaving together on CCTV and two days later, on 16th March, the body of the latter was discovered in rubble and rubbish in the basement area of the Great Portland Street serviced apartment building where the former lived.
A post-mortem examination gave Martine Vik Magnussen’s cause of death as compression to the neck. In November 2010, an inquest recorded a verdict of unlawful killing. On a website seeking justice, her friends paid tribute to her life in a video shared on YouTube that also included a contribution from a Yemeni Nobel Peace Prize winner.
Martine Vik Magnussen (6th February 1985 – 14th March 2008) was last seen leaving the Maddox Club, 3 – 5 Mill Street, Mayfair, London, W1S 2AU with Farouk Abdulhak (born February 1987 and also known as Farooq) around 2am on 14th March 2008. Her body was found in the basement of a residential building at The Armitage Apartments, 222 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5QR – where he rented a serviced apartment – two days later at 10.30am on 16th March 2008. She had been raped, beaten, strangled and attempts had been made to conceal her body in rubbish and rubble. Both the suspected rapist-murderer and his innocent, tragic victim were students at Regent’s Business School – known also as ‘RBS.’Martine Vik Magnussen was a bright, attractive 23-year-old lady whose life was so reprehensibly taken from her. The courage and tenacity of her family in campaigning to bring her rapist-killer to justice is to be saluted.Farouk Abdulhak (also known as Farooq Abdulhak) lived a playboy lifestyle in London and no doubt lives in luxury courtesy of his family’s wealth. His alleged victim’s life was cut short when she was just 23 and it is beyond disgraceful that this spoilt tyke has not yet been prepared to assist police as they seek to solve the rape-murder that at occurred in the property where he lived in 2008.The arrogance of this scion of a billionaire is clear. Here is someone who lived off his father and was clearly never taught anything about developing a moral compass or the concepts of right, wrong and taking responsibilities for your own actions.Items missing from the victim’s body that were with her when she left the Maddox Club but not with her body when it was discovered, according to Scotland Yard, included: Christian Dior earrings, snakeskin shoes, a Marc Jacobs handbag, a Guess watch, a silver costume diamond ring and her jeans (described as blue and of a ‘skinny’ fit).
Whilst the grieving parents of a young lady with a promising future were left to deal with the grim task of organising a funeral for their beloved child, the only suspect in the case, Abdulhak, had headed to the airport to meet his father’s private jet. He returned via Egypt to his native Yemen and since Yemen has no extradition agreement with Britain has been able to live-it-up there still to this day.
In the 14 years since, the suspect – whose now late father was said to have a net worth of an astonishing £8.6 billion and thus clearly the resources to protect his clearly spoilt brat – is believed to have married and clearly has taken the view he has gotten away scot-free, but the victim’s father, Odd Petter Magnussen has never given up in his quest for justice.
With the help in the UK of amongst others William Hague MP as Foreign Secretary first and Tobais Ellwood MP later, as Minister for the Middle East and Africa, attempts have been made to find a way to bring the suspect back to Britain for questioning at the very least. They sadly have not achieved anything as of date.
Yesterday, in a possibly more promising development Scotland Yard announced they had taken into custody a woman in her 60s on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the rape-murder. A previous arrest of a 50-year-old man in connection of “assisting the murderer” (according to Wikipedia) on 30th April 2008 sadly led to nothing further, however, it must be noted.
Speaking of yesterday’s arrest, Scotland Yard Detective Chief Inspector Jim Eastwood commented:
“Martine’s family has never given up their fight for justice and, in the 14 years since her death, they have campaigned tirelessly to keep her in the public consciousness.”
“Martine’s family has been informed of this latest development. Though it represents a positive step, there is still much more work for us to do. Most importantly, Farouk Abdulhak should be aware that this matter has not, and will not, go away.”
“My team and I will continue to seek justice and use all opportunities available to pursue him and bring him back to the UK. His status as a wanted man will remain and we will not cease in our efforts to get justice for Martine’s family. I’m appealing to Farouk Abdulhak directly: come back to the UK. Come back to face justice.”
“Since Martine’s death, her family has shown true determination, together with my investigation team, as we want to provide some closure for Martine’s family.”
Last year, following up on many appeals prior, Odd Petter Magnussen, remarked:
“In today’s globalised world, you [Farouk Abdulhak] cannot hide forever from the oldest and most serious crime known to man – the rape and murder of a woman.”
“I appeal to you to return to the UK to assist the police in finding out what happened to Martine. I regard you as a coward unless you take responsibility for your actions.”
The last heard of Farouk Abdulhak – whose frankly reprehensibly overprotective billionaire father managed to travel without any legal hinderance to Germany to seek out cancer treatment prior to his death on 2nd October 2020 – was in 2008. At that time, his lawyer Mohammed Al Bakwli announced that he had advised his client not to speak to the media and added:
“He is not happy about being described as a criminal, as a murderer, when there is no such accusation against him. He is not an escapee. Things were written like he was the last man to see her alive.”
“It is not true [that his father] would disown Farouk. Whatever he has done or not done, he is still his son. But he has said he will not protect him if he has done wrong.”
Of the case, shared in a video uploaded to YouTube in October 2014 that has been viewed 6,000 times since, the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize winner Tawakkol Karman, a Yemeni human rights activist, said:
“All Yemeni people, all Arab people are so angry about what happened to Martine. All the people who care about human rights values are so angry about what happened to Martine.”
“We are so angry because why the criminal until now hasn’t faced justice?”
Going further the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi, an Iranian lawyer, former judge and human rights activist, added: “I hope we can witness justice in this case and that the suspect will answer for his wrongdoings and actions.”
Rather arrogantly, just days after the senseless slaying, a “representative for Maddox Club” insensitively blabbed to “society journalist” William Cash – reporting for The Guardian – “This guy was a good friend, so it wasn’t like she was picked up or anything. People get killed for all sorts of reasons, it just so happens she was last seen at Maddox – she could have been last seen having dinner at Cipriani. Sadly, that’s just life sometimes.” The club continued, business as usual and remains open still now.
Shame on this filthy piece of toerag “representative” and shame on the cretinous Farouk Abdulhak and his equally cowardly late father. It is time for this case to be resolved and perhaps 2022 might just be the year for that.
Update: Wednesday 9th March, 3pm: The suspect, aged in her 60s, has been released by the Metropolitan Police on bail today after being held since Tuesday morning.
As before, anyone with additional information that may assist in achieving justice for the Vik Magnussen family should telephone the Metropolitan Police on +44 (0) 20 8358 0300 or Crimestoppers anonymously on +44 (0) 800 555 111.

Shaher Abdulhak (1938 – 2020) was a prominent Yemeni businessman and the founder of Shaher Trading. Nicknamed the ‘King of Sugar,’ this “media shy” individual “held a great deal of political influence” and “never granted interviews.” He died in Germany from cancer and is buried in Cairo, Egypt and in the wake of his son being accused of rape and murder in London, quite rightly amongst others Daimler AG ended their relationships with a man who harboured and protected a fugitive alleged killer. In 2016, it was reported that the victim’s father had “received an offer of the arrangement of Abdulhak being handed over to Interpol on the eighth anniversary of her death in exchange for Norway hosting peace talks when the Yemeni civil war was at its height.” Though this was unsuccessful, Mr Magnussen later remarked: “I found this encouraging. This was a strong message to the suspect that he can no longer rely on the total support of his own people. I hope he is not sleeping so well these days.”The funeral of Martine Vik Magnussen – a young lady whose life should not have been cut short at 23 and whose rapist-killer must be brought to justice.
Whilst Cardinal (John) Henry Newman got made a saint, Carrie Johnson’s Abba dancing buddy Henry Newman has been binned and turfed out with the rubbish
Oxford University educated Cardinal John Henry Newman was canonised as a saint in the Catholic Church in October 2019. Meanwhile earlier that year, his namesake, a spad of plainer birth but of the same alma mater, “discretely charmed by the bourgeoisie” Henry John Newman, got himself elevated when his Abba dancing partner, Carrie Johnson, got her clammering claws on the keys to the nation’s second most famous home, 10 Downing Street.
Now, whilst supposedly “sublimated homosexual” Saint John Henry Newman C.O. – despite having being dead for 132 years – is considered a “national treasure” and described as “the first English saint of the modern era” according to The Tablet, his openly gay namesake was this weekend turfed out of Downing Street with the rubbish.
Gone for Brexiteer ‘Bin Boy’ Henry Newman – who was bizarrely photographed pointing at bags of refuse in Camden in 2017 whilst standing to become a councillor – will be the days of quaffing booze on the terrace of the half acre garden behind the official residences of the Prime Minister and the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Now, instead, this graduate also of equally fabled institutions including Harvard and the London School of Economics, will have to pleasure himself with a pint in a pub in The Marquis of Granby after days working in the less salubrious surrounds of Marsham Street back with his supposed sometime flatmate Michael Gove.
According to the Daily Mail’s Andrew Pierce this morning, Newman was so important to Carrie Johnson that the Prime Minister allowed him to celebrate his 38th birthday last summer – hardly a milestone of any note – with a lavish bash at Chequers, the grace-and-favour residence intended for entertaining visiting statesmen and international dignitaries.
“It turned out to be a very high-spirited affair,” Pierce reported, with “Housing Secretary Michael Gove riding pillion as Boris Johnson took him on a joy-ride on his second-hand Yamaha motorcycle around the grounds. Gove clasped his hands around Boris’s ample waist as they nudged speeds of 55mph, while Newman – clutching a flute of champagne – laughed and cheered.”
Gone now are such privileges and gone also is Newman’s desk close to Boris Johnson’s study and instead this alleged “Chatty Rat” – if we are to believe Dominic Cummings – “has been banished to work with his former mentor Gove at his departmental HQ a 15-minute walk away in Marsham Street.” This once influential spad – whom once suggested on Facebook: “[What I’m] thinking [is that] this country needs is a new taskforce” – it appears, has been disposed just like a binbag full of stinking, rotten fish.
For Newman, this downgrade will no doubt seem heartless and unfair, but, as Pierce added: “It was [his] intimate relationship with Mrs Johnson that has proved his undoing.” He now faces likely criticism into what went on with ‘Partygate’ in Sue Gray’s report and as the journalist concluded: “There will be fewer cosy chats in the Downing Street flat in the future.”
Elsewhere, in a ‘Comment’ piece this morning, The Sun declared: “Only time will tell if the ‘greased piglet’ [Boris Johnson’ left it too late to escape” slaughter by his very own party. They neglected to remark on how it will continue to go from bad to worse for his spendaholic, power crazed wife ‘Carrie Antoinette’ now that she’s lost “her rock” and equivalent of Paul Burrell to the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
A fan of wearing beanie hats that declare: “Let’s get Brexit done,” here is a young man who taught politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), after studying at the University of Oxford, Harvard University and the London School of Economics. Henry Newman reportedly then “cut his teeth” working in the Cabinet Office during the coalition government years and then joined Michael Gove’s entourage in the Ministry of Justice after he was appointed as the Lord Chancellor in 2015.Aside from having travelled to Russia in his youth, Henry Newman joined the Vote Leave campaign during the 2016 referendum campaign and, according to ‘The Telegraph’ “was among a close circle of Mr Gove’s friends who were said to have helped to convince him to ‘knife’ Mr Johnson and torpedo his bid for the Tory leadership by deciding to run himself.” Later, a director of the pro-Brexit Open Europe think-tank, Newman was then rewarded for being “loyal” to his wine chucking bestie Carrie Symonds when Boris Johnson came to power.
‘Bin Boy’ Henry Newman’s words of wisdom on Facebook…
“Is drunk.”
“Is opening an organic box.”
“Is discreetly charmed by the bourgeoisie.”
“Is drowning in honey, stingless.”
“Once you kill a cow you gotta make a burger.”
“Wondering if he is really a top concern for US immigration.”
“Waiting for Jacqui Smith to resign.”
“Is dancing, dancing, dancing… Is listening to rumba in W. Hartford… Is dancing in the dark… Is missing dancing.”
“Is listening to the Stones while the economy collapses.”
“Is watching his tan fall off.”
“Hates people who don’t know how to use a rowing machine.”
“Is thinking what this country needs is a new taskforce.”
Descriptions of Henry Newman by…
Boris Johnson:
“One of my three musketeers.”
Carrie Symonds:
“One of my four favourite people.”
Toby Young:
“He is a new role model… If you were a [politics show] booker who had to find someone… Newman was the only name on your Rolodex.”
“As the oxygen went out of Theresa May’s premiership, and her withdrawal agreement began to breathe its last, the great balloon of his career became more and more inflated.”
Dominic Cummings:
“All the evidence [regarding the second lockdown leak] definitely leads to Henry Newman… I’m just trying to get the communications data to prove it.”
An unnamed “senior government source”:
“The allegations against Henry Newman are entirely false. He wouldn’t be working in Downing Street if he was suspected of leaking information.”
An unnamed “Downing Street insider” to The Mail on Sunday:
“This is the man who did more than anyone to encourage Michael [Gove] to stab Boris in the back.”
“But he’s used his relationship with Carrie to ingratiate himself back into the inner circle. He’s always up in the flat with her, and that gives him direct access to the PM. The rest of the No. 10 team have no idea what he’s saying to him. And that’s the root cause of a lot of this.”
Newman’s childish Facebook posts are not indicative of someone of academic note and his rise through government should be questioned as a result. Did he get there because of merit or simply because he was a ‘FOC’ (‘Friend of Carrie’)? The answer seems very, very clear.Henry Newman, like fellow mouthy sorts such as Diane Abbott, Jay Beecher and Owen Jones, likes to pontificate and peddle, but when called out, he simply hits the block button. Hardly the actions of someone who would like to think himself an able debater at the Oxford Union and more those of someone ‘trained’ by the wine chucking harpy Carrie Johnson.
As Lord Ashcroft sticks the knife into feckless ‘first lady’ Carrie Johnson, this deservedly called out power crazy spendaholic’s regime comes crashing down
Carrie Johnson is very much fair game given her clear arrogance and busybodying in a place where she has no elected position.
The first Prime Minister’s wife in modern history to be overtly political herself – an arena even the equally derided barrister Cherie Blair didn’t delve too far into whilst her husband was in office – the current Mrs Johnson was astoundingly named as one of twenty-eight disruptors who’ll shape 2022 by Politico Europe in December last year in spite of the fact that she has no formal role in government.
Now, with this morning’s bombshell from Lord Ashcroft – a billionaire senior member and once bigtime financial supporter of the Conservative party – with the announcement of the serialisation of his biography of Britain’s current “first lady” in The Mail on Sunday, the innards of this feckless 33-year-old’s “regime” are set to be further highlighted.
Features on the wench formerly known as Carrie Symonds and nicknamed ‘Carrie Antoinette,’ ‘Carrie On Regardless,’ ‘Princess Nut Nut’ and ‘Ann Boleyn’ variously in The Steeple Times have attracted huge amounts of attention in the last months and it is for good reason given her “tempestuous” nature and “interfering” antics.
Our revelation of Mrs Johnson’s links with a charity, Oceana, in which the now convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell was very heavily involved prior to her arrest have been excused by some as simply “poor judgment.” However, that this daughter of the co-founder of The Independent also did not have the independence of mind to not realise that dating a man, Oliver Haiste (sometimes spelt ‘Haste’), with links to the far-right Traditional Britain Group and who was exposed by the BBC for a hoax involving the Russian news corporation Pravda International is another.
Wine chucker Miss Johnson, a woman whose antics gyrating to Abba with her well-rewarded financially in office best mates Josh Grimstone and Henry Newman, has in recent weeks also been the centre of investigations into ‘Partygate’ and, of course, equally the £112,000 spent on ghastly decorations by Lulu Lytle and £28,000 of organic nosh from Lady Bamford’s Daylesford illustrate her Barbara Amiel-like ways. “Extravagance knows no bounds” for either of those women, but despite being clad in £2,900 a pop gowns by Christos Costarello, Mrs Johnson’s impact thus far has only to make Downing Street develop the stench of sordidness and the stink of a slurry pit.
Yesterday, The Guardian’s Rowena Mason and Heather Stewart asked: “Carrie Johnson: puppet master of Downing Street – or easy target?” in a column. They observed:
“Former Downing Street insiders report feeling Carrie could make her husband change his mind, sometimes overnight, on an issue they thought was already agreed.
“The prime minister would also tell aides that if he didn’t take a particular course of action, it would anger his wife.”
“They also reported Johnson himself receiving scores of messages from her during the working day – and Carrie Johnson repeatedly calling his staff, insisting the prime minister be hauled out of meetings to talk to her.”
Now, tellingly of the power play at the heart of their marriage just as five aides have already fled for the hills, in First Lady: Intrigue at the Court of Carrie and Boris Johnson, Lord Ashcroft quotes the Prime Minister as telling aides: “Don’t do anything that’s going to make [Carrie] torture me when I get home. You’ve just got to help me. My life at home’s miserable. You’ve got to find a way to make this bearable for me.”
Of his book this morning, Lord Ashcroft explained: “As the first prime ministerial consort with a political career of her own, I believe she easily warrants a biography.”
“Indeed, as the Conservative Party’s communications director and special adviser to two government ministers, she was an influential figure long before she moved into No. 10 Downing Street in July 2019.”
“Of course, when I set out to learn more about her, I could have had no idea that six months later she would find herself accused by an increasing number of people of being involved in a series of scandals which threaten to derail her husband’s premiership.”
“I had no agenda other than to write accurately about what I found – but what I found surprised me.”
“Her evident ambition soon came to the fore… She also emerged as a rather divisive figure. Some colleagues felt that she considered herself above them – there is a story that she claimed she had fractured her leg as a ruse to wangle a better hotel during a party conference – and her vivacity was felt to be at odds with the more routine duties of the press office. Perhaps her undoubted ability to charm journalists and MPs inspired envy.”
“The accounts I have heard of the way she interfered in Johnson’s leadership campaign in 2019 are staggering, as are the effect of her strong opinions on staffing matters once the couple had reached Downing Street.”
“Many of the sources who contributed to my biography had kept their stories about Carrie private until now. Some even said they were motivated to talk because it was in the public interest to do so.”
“The buck stops with him – but the evidence I have gathered suggests his wife’s behaviour is preventing him from leading Britain as effectively as the voters deserve.”
“Friends of Johnson and his former wife, Marina Wheeler QC, say they cannot imagine so many scandals existing if she were with him now. ‘Marina was a very important influence on Boris,’ one said. Her actions have adversely affected other women’s careers.”
“He has gone from being with a maternal figure who managed him rather like a chief executive to an arrangement where Carrie ‘who is demanding rather than supplying’. This person goes on: ‘I think it’s the biggest explanation of the dysfunctionality inside Number 10.’”
“Readers of my book can judge for themselves what Carrie’s actions say about her relationship with the PM and what they mean for the way Britain has been run under his premiership.”
“One of his closest Cabinet allies has told sources quoted in my book that they believe Carrie is ‘the No 1 problem’ in Johnson’s administration.”
“Many will wonder if it would be better for the country if the minister in question had the courage to tell the PM this to his face. As for Carrie Johnson, if she wants to help decide what the Government does and who works in it, maybe she should think about standing for election.”
Carrie Johnson has rightly been called out over not only her extravagance with spending, but also her power crazed antics. Given she holds no official Office of State, her meddling and anything but benign influence is most definitely rightly condemned as “inappropriate.”Prior to marrying the Prime Minister, the then Carrie Symonds certainly indulged in activities that were far from dignified. Childish and of poor judgment Mrs Johnson’s love of fancy dress, partying and hobnobbing with individuals prone to questionable involvements in the far right right and Russian scandals such as Oliver Haiste (AKA Oliver Haste) do not help those who call her out.The Right Honourable The Lord Ashcroft KCMG PC has well and truly stuck the boot into “puppet mistress” Carrie Johnson and her husband’s regime. In ‘First Lady: Intrigue at the Court of Carrie and Boris Johnson,’ the peer and ex-member of the House of Lords portrays the premier as a “lonely figure surrounded by her close friends who are now among his most influential aides.” He “advances the theory that faultlines in her relationship with the Prime Minister have had an impact on No. 10.”That Mrs Johnson has been able to get the very chums she dances to Abba with – Josh Grimstone (left) and Henry Newman (right) – into high office because of their links to the ‘Court of Carrie’ stinks of nepotism.
‘Psittacism’ is a word that perfectly sums up Boris Johnson’s government spineless repetitions telling the public to wait for the conclusions of the Met Police’s investigation into ‘Partygate’
Summing up the activity of the likes of the ostrich anus eater Nadine Dorries MP – who quite frankly looked a little beyond pissed-up and “like something from a Catherine Tate sketch” as she rocked around whilst spouting a predictably crass response to the matter to Channel 4’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy – favourite of all at The Steeple Times, Countdown ‘Dictionary Corner’ stalwart Susie Dent tweeted on Tuesday:
“Word of the day is psittacism (19th century): the meaningless or mechanical repetition of words. From the Latin psittacus, parrot.”
As she did last November in sharing the 16th century word malversation – “the corrupt administration of power” – in the context of ‘Owen Paterson-gate,’ Dent consistently improves our etymology with these tweets and in educating us all also gives a much deserved daily kick to the frankly most corrupt government in living history.
Today, we salute a lady who is frankly doing the job that Sir Keir Starmer seems to fail at consistently and again today, we join those calling for the resignation of not only the incompetent disgrace that is Dame Cressida Dick DBE, QPM but also the buffoon Prime Minister that clearly thinks it clever to reference his corruption as “total rhubarb.” Let’s instead put this pair of nitwits up against Susie Dent and let’s see how long they last in ‘Dictionary Corner.’
Susie Dent’s tweet on Tuesday was liked by over 20,700 accounts and retweeted 3,049 times. “I’ve said sorry already” is simply not going to wash with the British public from a Prime Minister who has had to – but not actually meant – “being genuinely sorry” on hundreds of occasions throughout his careers as both a journalist and politicians. Frankly, the word of his old mucker, the insurance fraudster Darius Guppy, would be taken as more trustworthy by anyone with half a brain.“Am I bothered? Are you disrespecting me?” – ‘Nasty Nad’ (AKA The Right Honourable Nadine Dorries MP, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport), by contrast, is someone with utterly no grasp of the English language and how to use it. This national disgrace truly is an embarrassment to our nation and makes even Catherine Tate’s character Lauren look positively intelligent.

Nadine Dorries has understandably been labelled the ‘Fool of the Week’ for her behaviour on Monday evening after the Prime Minister’s appalling performance in the House of Commons earlier that day. Here is a woman who previously claimed David Cameron and George Osborne “didn’t know the price of milk,” who also cannot see that it is now her that is totally out of touch with the national mood.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG7r1uLwLw8
Boris Johnson thinks himself clever when it comes to his use of the English language. Like his equally arrogant and totally vapid sister, Rachel – a woman who showed her true colours last November in announcing that: “It’s hard not to feel a batsqueak of pity for Ghislaine Maxwell” in ‘The Spectator’ in November and added of the since convicted sex offender: “I intersected briefly with her at Oxford. As a fresher I wandered into Balliol JCR one day in search of its subsidised breakfast granola-and-Nescafé offering and found a shiny glamazon with naughty eyes holding court astride a table, a high-heeled boot resting on my brother Boris’s thigh” – this Prime Minister attempts to bamboozle the public with such nonsense as “total rhubarb” as he believes himself to be intellectually superior to them.
Is overindulged prig Carrie Johnson about to be thrown under the bus along with her Abba loving groupies Henry Newman and Josh Grimstone? Is this the end of the road for ‘Carrie On Regardless’?
It seems Carrie Johnson could be about to receive a dose of her own medicine and possibly a summons to speak to the Metropolitan Police even also.
“What Carrie wants, Carrie gets” is supposedly a mantra that the Prime Minister’s wife and those around her operate by and until now, the former Miss Symonds has got everything she desires. Be it £30,000 of organic nosh from Lady Bamford’s Daylesford Organic, £840 a roll wallpaper grubbily grabbed from Lulu Lytle’s frankly ghastly emporium and £2,900 a pop gowns by fashion designer Christos Costarello, here is an overindulged modern day Marie Antoinette whose extravagance knows no bounds.
Prone prior to moving to Downing Street to chucking red wine over sofas and dancing to Abba with her ‘Chatty Rat’ clatterfart chum Henry Newman – whom she has described as “one of my four favourite people” – the current Mrs Johnson was this morning dragged deeper into the mire that is ‘Partygate,’ the Mail on Sunday reported.
According to an unnamed source who spoke to the paper’s Glen Owen and Dan Hodges, on the night of Dominic Cummings’ departure on 13th November 2020: “There was the sound of lots of banging and dancing and drinking, and a number of Abba tracks – including a triumphalist Winner Takes It All.”
Going further, the Mail on Sunday added: “The Metropolitan Police could now investigate the party as part of its probe, and call on Mrs Johnson to provide written evidence.”
“Civil servants in the building at the time were advised by officials to go to the Downing Street flat to apologise for not sufficiently supporting the Prime Minister’s then-fiancée. ‘They were ordered to go up and kiss the ring,’ one said.”
Pictured top – Obsessed with nobody but himself Boris Johnson and his overindulged current wife, Carrie, deserve to be derided. Whilst ordinary people were unable to see their relatives even due to the lockdowns his government forced upon them, these two cretins partied on regardless.
The former Carrie Symonds previously worked for Oceana, a charity with strong links to the now convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, in the past and has links to individuals connected to the far-right Traditional Britain Group. Her shockingly poor judgment is clearly worthy of question. The Prime Minister’s wife counts alleged ‘Chatty Rat’ and Abba fanatic Henry Newman as her “best friend,” according to Dominic Cummings. When the possibility of having to fire him over leaks arose, Boris Johnson reportedly said: “If Newman is confirmed as the leaker then I will have to fire him, and this will cause me very serious problems with Carrie as they’re best friends… [pause] perhaps we could get the Cabinet Secretary to stop the leak inquiry?”‘Princess Nut Nut’ – as she has also been deservedly branded – invited only a few guests to her wedding to Boris Johnson. Amongst them was “Tory hunk” Josh Grimstone. The ‘Court of Carrie’ is all about control and this 28-year-old “top-notch aide” was rewarded rather nicely in spite of being someone known best for just taking his top off. Grimstone is on a pay packet of between £80,000 and £84,999, according to Cabinet Office records.Boris Johnson protests too much about whether he partied or not. That he has now tried to have Dame Cressida Dick and the Metropolitan Police try and slow down the process of the investigation into ‘Partygate’ speaks volumes about his clear lack of a moral compass. That his current wife is now being dragged into this is evidence that he’d literally throw anyone under the bus to save his own sorry skin.
Led By Donkeys does it again with a “Who Exactly Does The Metropolitan Police Work For, Ma’am?” video meme that suggests Dame Cressida Dick works for Downing Street rather than British citizens
Metropolitan Police commissioner Dame Cressida Dick DBE, QPM doesn’t like the BBC’s Line of Duty drama series. She was, in fact, “absolutely outraged by it, but now the brilliant chaps behind the guerilla operation that is Led By Donkeys have used it to give her another bite in the bum.
Published as a video meme on Twitter yesterday, a 26-second mockup of Dame Cressida being questioned by the actor Adrian Dunbar – who stars as Superintendent Ted Hastings in Line of Duty.
The clip, which has been retweeted 17,500 times already and liked by nearly 53,000 Twitter accounts, begins with Dame Cressida stating: “We have a long established and effective working relationship with, er, the Cabinet Office.”
Superintendent Hastings then replies: “Who Exactly Does The Metropolitan Police Work For, Ma’am? Our citizens or Boris Johnson?”
Dame Cressida, head bowed shamefully, then answers: “Downing Street” before scowling whilst scratching her chin.
Again today, we join the majority in calling for Dame Cressida to finally do the decent thing: It is time for this incompetent woman to accept that the rotten force she presides over needs, as Dame Doreen Lawrence has repeatedly called for since 1993, wholesale reform. That reform must begin with a new commissioner at the helm and with Dame Cressida Dick pensioned off to somewhere far from public office.
Twitter users universally condemned the nation’s premier police force as incompetent and rightly pointed out that there is “zero public confidence in it.”Ostrich anus eating ‘Nasty Nad’ (AKA Nadine Dorries), House of Commons sleeper Jacob Rees-Mogg and £800-a-roll wallpaper loving ‘Carrie On Regardless’ (AKA cake offerer Carrie Johnson) may think father of an unknown number of sprogs ‘Boris The Buffoon’ (AKA Boris Johnson) is doing the right thing in trying to coverup ‘Partygate’ with the help of the rotten-to-its-core Metropolitan Police and incompetent Dame Cressida Dick, a school and university chum of sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell. They are on the wrong side of history and it is jolly well time the public get to see an unredacted copy of Sue Gray’s report into what knees-ups went on in Downing Street whilst grieving families weren’t even allowed to attend the funerals of their relatives.
The Met’s Catalogue of Failures
There is now zero public confidence in the frankly incompetent Metropolitan Police and one Twitter user, June Sim, rightly stated of it yesterday: “The Met has always been a byword amongst regional forces. We used to joke if you were rejected, they’ll take anybody. Not helped by the reputation confirmed by the Daniel Morgan report. Reputation already tarnished.”
Amongst the many failings of what ought to be the nation’s premier police force – aside from multiple allegations of racism and racial bias against its officers, its failure to deal with spiraling teenage murders and the many allegations of corruption and incompetence levelled at it – are:
1987 – Botched investigation into the murder of Daniel Morgan.
1993 – Botched investigation into the murder of Stephen Lawrence.
1994 – Botched investigation into allegations that Ghislaine Maxwell operated a brothel in South Kensington.
2009 – Unlawful killing of Ian Tomlinson during his arrest by Met Police officers.
2005 – Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes by Met Police officers on the orders of Cressida Dick.
2013 – Strip searching of Dr Koshka Duff during her arrest for intervening during a Met Police stop-and-search of a black teenager.
2014 – Bungled investigation into allegations of historic child abuse made by Carl Beech.
2014 to 2015 – Failure to stop Stephen Port committing subsequent serial killings in spite of his already being linked to the death of a man outside his home.
2019 – Farcical mismanagement of policing of Extinction Rebellion protests leading to a bill of £37 million in policing costs.
2020 – Misconduct of Met Police officers during their investigation into the murders of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman.
2020 – Found to be 2.17 times as likely to issue fines to black people relative to the rest of the population during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.
2021 – Misconduct of Met Police officers during their investigation into the disappearance of Richard Okorogheye.
2021 – Met Police officer Ben Hannam found to be a member of a banned terrorist group.
2021 – Shocking conduct of Met Police officers after the murder of Sarah Everard by one of their own colleagues.
2022 – Apparent collaboration with Boris Johnson and his government to delay report into ‘Partygate.’
Dame Cressida (pictured with Priti Patel and Boris Johnson) has previously come under fire over crises under her watch that have numbered the disgraceful shooting and killing of an innocent man, Jean Charles de Menezes. She has also been slammed over the Met’s use of stop and search tactics, the handlings of recommendations made after the botched Operation Midland, the arrests of attendees at a candlelight vigil for murdered-by-a-serving-Met-officer Sarah Eveard and complaints by the Daniel Morgan Independent Panel that she obstructed their inquiry into police corruption.
