A Texan bricklayer turned billionaire, Pastor Farris Wilks grew up in a goat shed but now owns an airport and his own aircraft. Firmly anti-gay marriage and often described as a “dirt farmer”, Wilks and his brother Dan made their fortune in oil and gas and gave £9.7 million ($15 million) to the Republican Presidential contender Ted Cruz in September 2015.
