The world’s tallest and shortest men meet
Yesterday, the tallest and shortest men in the world were introduced to one another in London to mark Guinness World Records Day.
Chandra Bahadur Dangi from Nepal is just 54.6 centimetres (21.5 inches) tall whilst Sultan Kösen is an astounding 2 metres 51 centimetres tall (8 foot 3 inches).

Of meeting, Mr Kösen, who is from Ankara, Turkey, commented:
“It has been a real privilege to have taken part in Guinness World Records Day 2014. I love London and to be able to finally meet Chandra after all this time is amazing”.
“Even though he is short and I am tall, we have had similar struggles throughout our lives and when I look into Chandra’s eyes, I can see he’s a good man”.
