An event with an Aventador

Section:

Footage of a Lamborghini Aventador crashing in Sloane Street

On Sunday, a young turk crashed his Lamborghini Aventador into three vehicles in Sloane Street.

In footage, shared by the Shmee150 website, the £265,000 car crashes into a Mazda that pulled out in front of it before smashing into two other parked vehicles. We make it our Video of the Week.

Remarkably nobody was injured in the incident but one thing is for sure, drivers of such cars should be much more considerate in the way in which they use their vehicles in Central London.

    1. Hmm, I notice the Lambo driver was been followed by another fast car, possibly a 599 Ferrari or a Maserati, I can’t quite see, however he was obviously going far too fast for the situation, maybe showing off to his mate behind and didn’t have the sense to slow when he saw the Mazda. Equally the driver of the Mazda should not have pulled out, particularly with a car as big and noisy as that coming down the road so he is a moron too! A case of too much ego driven aggression on both sides. I would force them both to ride cycles for a year if I were in charge and fine the Lambo driver a hundred grand for wearing stupid clothes at the scene of an accident. A new offence that I just thought up.

    2. The other car was a Maserati
Apparently the guy in the M was following and filming the L
Then we heard the Big Bang!

    3. If you live around K’bridge one gets sick and tired of these show off Arabs driving at dangerous speeds late and night and early in the morning. My Saudi neighbour says he feels hugely embarrassed.
If we behaved like this in Doha we would be locked up.
The Arabs are their own worst enemy around here: they elicit negative feelings and have no sense of how to behave in someone’s else’s country.
The ambassadors of the Gulf States should step in and read the Riot Act

      • Hear, hear! speaking objectively, I think that when they drive them too fast in town, or make too much noise or drive them whilst dressed like a twat,or any other offence against normal standards of behaviour or good taste, then they ought to have their cars confiscated on the spot and donated to The SteepleTimes to be tested on empty country roads by it’s motoring correspondent, oh hang on a minute, thats me isn’t it ?

    4. I concur with Wayde.

Walton Street is blighted most nights by the noisy roar of high performance motor cars driven – at unsafe speeds in such a narrow street- by ‘boy racer’ oiks. They are an absolute pest.

While many have index plates proclaiming that they hail from the Gulf. There are exceptions.

I have seen a near identical, matt black Lamborghini with the registration A4AAA and heard its high decibel, staccato exhaust as it blasted up Walton Street. The car involved in the Sloane Street incident (as shown in your video link) had the index plate pixilated out. I would not be surprised that it was the same car.

I have not a smidgen of sympathy for the driver and hope his insurance company view the video with interest. (A couple of the ‘old bill’ with radar cameras stationed in Walton Street one night might be a good idea).

    5. Lowndes square is another racing track for those careless monster drivers ,with summer coming it becomes
A nightmare to live around as they descend in hordes , it is an aggressive invasion , nuisance and public danger
To start with ,the council or other relevant authority should put speed stop bumps on the streets around

    6. I agree completely. Having spoken to the Council and the Police they both say it is the other’s responsibility and finally they both say that nothing can be done as there is no law that prohibits abusive drivers racing and reving their super charged sports cars standing at the traffic lights.
Even with double glazing, the noise is unbearable to tolerate not only during the day but at 2, 3 or 4 am! Car alarms are activated and it is like living next to the 24 Hour Le Mans Car Race.
