Newport Convertible Engineering create a convertible Range Rover
Some people like the understated look. Others like to be noticed. Those falling into the latter category will undoubtedly be impressed by Orange County based convertible car designers Newport Convertible Engineering’s latest creation, the 2013 Range Rover convertible.



Complete with an electric soft-top, this custom-built car has already polarised the motoring press with some describing it as “safari luxe” and others captioning it “extremely ugly”.

Newport Convertible Engineering, who stated on Twitter that research and development of the vehicle cost some $450,000 and that they’ve already secured 65 reservations for them, will launch the model in August 2013 and distribute it internationally through selected Land Rover dealerships. Robert Mugabe, Katie Price and Justin Bieber will no doubt be getting their cheque books out in anticipation.
