An Angular Aston

Rare 1989 Aston Martin Volante Zagato offered for sale

 

Aston Martin have produced many a stunning cars over the years but one that is sheer Marmite is the Volante Zagato. A worldwide total of just thirty-sven were produced and now one is for sale for £350,000 ($426,000 or €387,000).

 

A 1989 example in Salisbury blue metallic with magnolia hide, the right hand drive car – one of just twelve – is angular in appearance and thoroughly reflective of 1980s design. It has just 6,630 miles on the clock, has a top speed of 160 mph and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds.

 

The vehicle – which would have cost £190,000 new (the equivalent of £425,000 or $517,000 or €470,000 today) was supplied originally by Aston Martin of Kensington and is now offered by Hexagon Classics of South Kensington.
