George Michael’s death was sad given he was plainly a talented musician and that he was taken too young and when the television presenter Kirstie Allsopp reacted by suggesting that Sky News’ reporting on the story was “appalling” she spoke for many.

The Murdoch owned news station did indeed focus on Michael’s “scandals” rather than his music and that their presenter Kay Burley responded: “Oh do shut up Kirstie” speaks volumes.
