Revelations that Diana, Princess of Wales gave a royal phone book to the News of the World royal editor, Clive Goodman, in 1992 are not surprising but provide yet more indication that the whole phone hacking trial is descending into utter farce.

Diana, Princess of Wales was a woman who knew how to manipulate the media and though ultimately many may blame them for her demise, she knew exactly what game she was playing. It backfired spectacularly but yet, from her grave, she’s even influencing the outcome of what will happen to the likes of Rebekah Brooks and Andy Coulson.
