Just as the toxic culture of sexual abuse at the Metropolitan Police is highlighted, we again remind that it was a female one-time school chum of noxious nonce Ghislaine Maxwell, Dame Cressida Dick, who presided over this rotten organisation for much of this period
“Do you feel safe around the police?” enquired Emma Barnett on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour this morning specifically in the context of the latest Metropolitan policeman-rapist David Carrick – a now convicted criminal who should never have passed vetting in the first place given accusations against him prior to and during his appointment.
Ms Barnett was right to ask such, but what she very clearly missed was to observe was that the very person at the helm of this police force during much of Carrick’s time committing many of his crimes was a woman, Dame Cressida Dick DBE QPM.
Currently there are about 1,000 allegations of domestic abuse or sexual offences against the Met’s 45,000 officers and staff and yet again today it has been highlighted that criminal conduct within this force has again and again been ignored. “How can it have failed again?” raged former chief constable of Nottinghamshire Sue Fish in today’s The Guardian and going further, she quite sensibly added: “If police are abusing their position to exploit those they are charged to protect, how can the institution be trusted?” She is correct and now the powers must be must put this grave situation right.
Turning back more specifically to the now put-out-to-paddock Dame Cressida, the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden highlighted another scandal in which she failed to act forcefully – that of the ‘Partygate’ probe into Boris Johnson and his cronies ‘living-it-large’ at Downing Street during COVID-19 lockdowns. Eden observed:
“Commander Catherine Roper, who has been confirmed as Wiltshire’s new Chief Constable, was previously in charge of the ‘Partygate’ probe into Covid breaches in Downing Street. She was given the role by Cressida Dick. In her new job, Roper will have to look after several well-known Wiltshire dignitaries – including Dick, who has a home in the county. Small world, isn’t it?”
Dame Cressida’s cronyism and curious connections have repeatedly been examined in The Steeple Times. She went to the same school as the convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, Oxford High School, at the same time as her and attended the same college at the University of Oxford, Balliol. Dame Cressida’s father, Marcus Dick (1920 – 1971) just happened also to be the senior tutor at Balliol College also and in 1994, when the Metropolitan Police could have pursued allegations that Maxwell was operating an upmarket brothel from her Stanhope Mews East, South Kensington, London home, the force did nothing. Paraphrasing Richard Eden: “Strange that, isn’t it?”
Editor’s Note – Unlike as is the case in many publications, this article was NOT sponsored or supported by a third-party.
Pictured Top (left to right) – Continually criticised ex-Met Police chief Dame Cressida Dick, convicted sex offender David Carrick and convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell.
Rotten to its core… Wayne Couzens and David Carrick are just two examples of sex fiends who were allowed free reign to commit crimes whilst working for the Metropolitan Police. It is now time that this force be stopped from “marking its own homework” has been an analysis repeatedly stated in the hours since the conviction of Carrick.Richard Eden’s feature this morning highlighted a bit more of “jobs for the girls” going on with the appointment of Catherine Roper as Wiltshire’s new chief constable. Both Ghislaine Maxwell and Dame Cressida Dick grew up and were educated in the ‘City of Dreaming Spires.’ Though Dame Cressida does not appear in the former’s address book, their connections during their formative years surely must have meant that their paths crossed – especially since the former Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis’ father was the senior tutor at the very college, Balliol, where both ladies studied.Since dead sex fiend Jeffrey Epstein and his since incarcerated co-collaborator sex fiend Ghislaine Maxwell (left), one-time alleged brothel owned by Maxwell between 1989 and 1997, 69 Stanhope Mews East in South Kensington (centre) and Maxwell’s former schoolmate and now ex-Met Police chief Dame Cressida Dick (right).69 Stanhope Mews East, South Kensington, London, SW7 5QT was the subject of a covert surveillance exercise by the Metropolitan Police in 1994 whilst under the ownership of the pension pot plundering ‘Cap’n Bob’s’ decidedly deviant daughter. Very young ladies of a certain type were seen coming and going during the period and it was suspected by neighbours that the house was being operated as a “high-class whore house” run by a “smart looking madam.”The current occupants of 69 Stanhope Mews are clearly sick of media attention and in spite of the mews house being on a public highway recently placed a “no photography or video recording” sign in their window. They also have a problem with dogs peeing on their plant pots.
Matthew Steeples suggests mouthy ex-MP Emma Dent Coad’s latest moan about how Labour have ditched her as a future candidate show her for what she is; a sore loser and a far-left hectoring harridan
Ten days ago, ex-MP for Kensington Emma Dent Coad – a hectoring harridan with a penchant for using the block button on Twitter to anyone who dares calls out her diatribe of drivel – issued a statement after she was excluded from being on Labour’s longlist of prospective candidates for the next election.
At the time, the far-left royal hater whined that she was “devastated” and “angry.” She moaned also that her party had “unjustly” prevented her from “standing for the seat I won just five years ago, the seat I came agonisingly close to holding even in 2019, despite the trade union backing which should have seen me longlisted automatically.” The now 67-year-old had won in 2017 by just 20 votes over Tory Lady ‘Call me Victoria’ Borwick and lost by 150 in 2019 to Felicity ‘Flicka’ Buchan, also a Conservative.
Speaking to the Communist Morning Star, a Momentum spokesperson added:
“It is a travesty of justice that passionate, popular advocates for their community like Emma are being blocked en-masse by Keir Starmer’s Labour on spurious grounds, so loyalists from outside the area can be parachuted in.”
“This is a deeply damaging episode for the Labour Party in Kensington, and one that local people are unlikely to forget.”
Instead now, if Labour actually want to make headway given Rishi Sunak somewhat steadying the Conservatives in just a few days in office, it is time that the party woke up and smelt the markets. The days of trade unionism and Jeremy Corbyn are dead; Britain needs a centrist opposition that genuinely opposes, but one that actually works with business rather than supports strikes against it.
Pictured top: Jeremy Corbyn apologist Owen Jones and Emma ‘Dense’ Dent Coad – a footnote in history who (along with Jones) has blocked ‘The Steeple Times’ on Twitter; here is a woman who plainly cannot cope with any discussion where she’s not hectoring all others.
Here is a privileged Kensington resident – who was married to Sir Hadley Gregory D’Oyly, 15th Baronet from 1978 to 1972 – who likes to play the card that she’s a woman of the people. She’s incapable of dialogue with anyone who doesn’t totally agree with her and simply blocks that dares question her on Twitter. The far-left, Corbynite socialist councilor for the Globorne ward of the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Council since 2006 is proud to be trade union backed and also has a book just out that she clearly wants to promote and profiteer from.
Dent Coad’s statement in full:
I am devastated that the Labour Party has blocked me from standing to once again represent my community in Parliament, the community I have spent the last 20 years of my life fighting for.
At the same time, I am angry that local members and our local community in Kensington have been denied the opportunity to vote in a free and fair contest, which has been sacrificed for the sake of factional intrigue from Labour officials.
This campaign has never been about me. I stood to offer dedicated representation for the people of Kensington in Parliament, from someone who knows and cares for our communities.
From my role as a local councillor and Labour Group leader, to my campaigning efforts as Kensington’s MP on housing issues so dear to our hearts, I have only ever sought the chance to champion our people, whose voices all too often go unheard.
If I have been outspoken in my politics, it is due to my passion and care for Kensington – for my neighbours and friends – and because of my burning desire to stamp out injustice and build a fairer, more equal society.
Upsettingly, unaccountable Labour officials have exploited this outspokenness to unjustly prevent me from standing for the seat I won just five years ago, the seat I came agonisingly close to holding even in 2019, despite the trade union backing which should have seen me longlisted automatically.
It is plain as day that the candidate selection process now being run by the Party is being factionally abused and is not fit for purpose.
I deplore injustice, and through my 16 years on the Council, various reports and my recent book, ‘One Kensington’ I have done my utmost not only to draw attention to the very real inequalities in our community but to actively fight it, from the council chamber to the House of Commons.
Above all, my driving ambition has been to combat the inequality which scars our community, the systematic disregard for working-class people which led to the atrocity of the Grenfell Tower fire, and which has led many to lose faith with the political process.
These people deserve and need representation in Parliament. I hope that Labour’s eventual candidate will gain the respect and trust of all communities in Kensington. It won’t be easy.
Solidarity,
Emma
The ex-Labour MP for Kensington’s full statement. It clearly illustrates her lack of respect for democracy and how she is instead totally unfit to be a Member of Parliament again. In October 2019 whilst still an MP, she was forced to apologise after liking a Facebook post that claimed: Israel “disgraces all of us Jews worldwide,” according to the ‘Jewish News.’
As Mark’s Club claim they never even agreed to an event for the twisted twerp members of the goat slaying Capreolus Club, we delight in the fact that they’ve now removed promotion of their September shenanigans and celebrate the success of our Change.org petition
There’ll now thankfully be no shenanigans on the terrace at the especially ritzy Mark’s Club in Mayfair for members of the Capreolus Club on 8th September 2022 if Belle Wade, director of events for The Birley Clubs is to believed.
Responding to our now marked as “successful” Change.org petition and article yesterday against news that Peter Jones, the chairman of the Capreolus Club – a clearly twisted encourager of others to go around massacring goats in northern England and Scotland – was set to host an event at their 46 Charles Street, W1 premises, Ms Wade remarked:
“My colleague passed on your email requesting for comment regarding a booking allegedly taking place at Mark’s Club in September.”
“I can confirm we are not hosting this event at Mark’s Club and do not have any reservations for anybody on that date under any names associated with that event. We have now asked them to remove this from their website.”
Later, going further after being asked to clarify if Mr Jones was a member of any club forming part of the Birley group, Ms Wade cited GDPR restrictions as a reason for neither confirming nor denying such. She added:
“To clarify – this event was never booked at Marks Club. As soon as it was brought to our attention that the event was being promoted as being hosted with us, we asked them to remove it from their website: It was not a case of it ever being booked in with us and then us asking them to remove. I just wanted to make that clear.”
Clearly most curious given this shows that the animal killing club – which has now deleted the link to its 8th September 2022 event from its website – not only goes around sickly slaying innocent, harmless goats, but also hosts pretend events also, here is a victory for common sense and decency.
Goats – ONE; Capreolus Club – NIL.
Pictured top – A goat sampling a pint or five of beer in celebration; goats and goat lovers everywhere will now be joining that one and will celebrate the news that the twisted members’ club that organises goat killing has now been stopped from promoting its supposedly never happening in the first place bash at Mark’s Club on 8th September 2022.
Why on earth would anyone want to shoot a hardy domesticated ruminant mammal with backward-curving horns? You’d have to be decidedly deranged to wish to view participating in such as pleasurable. Whilst most people enjoy walking, reading, watching films and fine dining, members of the club run by Peter Jones prefer to go around massacring such beautiful creatures for utterly no good reason. Though they pay around £1,000 for the ‘privilege,’ they would be better confined to where they really belong – mental institutions. All reference to the 8th September event at Mark’s Club in Mayfair has now been removed from the goat slaying club’s website. Disgustingly, however, the page has been replaced with a picture of a beautiful deer. No doubt the sick members of this cretinous “club” would take equal pleasure in massacring this beauty also. Shame on them.It took ‘The Steeple Times’ just 12 signatures on Change.org before a stop was put to the 8th September event – an event that supposedly had never even been organised in the first place. Now, again today, we urge readers of ‘The Steeple Times’ to join the 46,539 people who have signed our Change.org petition seeking a ban on the evil giraffe slayer Merelize van der Merwe from Facebook. Now, again today, we also urge readers of ‘The Steeple Times’ to join the 21,119 people who have signed our Change.org petition seeking a ban on the blue ticked abuser of endangered animals Larysa Switlyk from Instagram.
The sick Capreolus Club should now accept that the public loathe its vile activities and it should jolly well close down. Slaughtering harmless goats in the United Kingdom and elsewhere should be permanently stopped and those that celebrate doing such should be repeatedly named and shamed.
EXCLUSIVE – Matthew Steeples suggests the biggest story about last night’s local elections has been missed – the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea now has a one-time “explicit gay porn” actor as a councillor, whether he is into “tractor porn” like ex-MP Neil Parish is unknown but today we condemn also his decision to share imagery of knives
Former “explicit gay porn” actor Lloyd North was elected as a Conservative councillor in the ritzy Royal Borough of Kensington And Chelsea last night with 995 votes.
Mr North supposedly previously ran a bizarre fansite dedicated to Margaret Thatcher on Facebook where he posted pictures of someone, apparently himself, mocked up as his idol.
The clearly once sexually saucy new councillor has also shockingly shared imagery on Facebook of a figure posing with a noose and a carving knife accompanied by the creepy caption “be afraid, be kinda afraid.”
There have been 87 victims of knife injuries in RBKC under the age of 25 in the past 3 years.
Anything but ‘conservative’ RBKC Conservatives also recently appointed an Estonian convict who has been a ‘Playboy’ cover girl, Anna-Maria Galojan, to the committee of the ward Mr North has been elected to serve.
Whilst, for the Conservatives, the most cataclysmic cacophonies of chaos of the local elections 2022 came last night in the form of the loss of the “blue rinse” flagship councils of Wandsworth and Westminster – most famous as the setting of the scandal of the now ex-Dame Shirley Porter’s gerrymandering in the 1980s – the mainstream media have missed a far more saucy and sexually charged Tory story from the night.
Featured in everywhere from The Times to the crusading local blogs From The Hornets Nest (FTHN) and This Is North Kensington (THINK) when his candidacy for the Conservative Party was announced, a clearly anything but ‘conservative’ in his past ‘extra-curricular’ activities chap named Lloyd Lewis North – porn name: ‘Warren Lord’ – secured 995 votes in the Campden Ward in the Tory stronghold that is The Royal Borough of Kensington And Chelsea and was thus elected as one of fifty of the local authority’s councillors.
Described by John Reynolds in The Times in March 2018 as having once “appeared in a string of explicit gay porn films and participated in International Mr Leather, one of the world’s biggest fetish events,” Mr North – who the paper added “is thought to have retired from the porn industry” – joins Lady ‘Call Me Catherine’ Faulks and someone named Preety Manhar Pancholi Hudd as one of the ritzy area’s representatives.
Whether Mr North shared his past career ‘highlights’ with the buffers of Kensington whilst campaigning remains unknown. However, with Neil Parish now gone as an MP after watching ‘tractor porn’ on his mobile device in the House of Commons Chamber, we’d most definitely suggest that his Tory colleagues should be sure not to be Googling ‘Warren Lord’ whilst in session at Kensington Town Hall in Hornton Street, W8.
Elsewhere, in a post on Facebook, shared on 31st October 2013, Mr North – who has worked as British Airways steward, according to FTHN and posed in an outfit where he displayed a “passing resemblance to Baroness Thatcher” also – offered up a photograph of a person with a noose around their neck brandishing a very large carving knife. “Happy Halloween – ‘Boo’ – at Wolverton Gatehouse” he boomed. Asked by someone named Jimmy Bramlett: “Aren’t you gonna [sic] wear a costume?” the now The Royal Borough of Kensington And Chelsea Conservative councillor for the Campden Ward responded: “Be afraid, be kinda [sic] afraid.”
A 2022 report by the very local authority Lloyd North now sits as a councillor for revealed that “in the last 3 years there have been 87 victims of knife injuries in RBKC under the age of 25” and that “knife crime with injury offences have been increasing year on year in RBKC.” In 2021 alone, “there were 11 teenagers that were known to be a victim of a stabbing in RBKC.”
It is most certainly now time for Councillor North to consider whether sharing such a photograph on a publicly viewable social media site – and one that is mostly used by millennials – is an appropriate act for someone whose work will now include dealing with the impact of knife crime in the Campden Ward.
Pictured top – Now former Conservative Member of Parliament for Tiverton and Honiton (2010 – 2022) and former Conservative Member of the European Parliament for South West England (1999 – 2009) Neil Quentin Gordon Parish wrecked his career by watching porn in the House of Commons and getting caught (left), he claimed to be looking for “Dominator tractors” but ended up instead it seems with “dominatrices” (pictured left); “explicit gay porn actor” Lloyd North, one of three councillors for the Campden Ward of The Royal Borough of Kensington And Chelsea since 5th May 2022 (pictured right).
The now distinctive tattoo of Councillor Lloyd Lewis North (pictured also left campaigning complete with a blue rosette for the Conservatives in The Royal Borough of Kensington And Chelsea) is clearly displayed in both his ‘adult’ shot and a more innocent ‘holiday photo.’Mr North – whose “former partner, Ben Grey, was an adult film star who died in 2007 after injecting crystal meth and suffocating himself” according to ‘The Times’ – presents himself in a much more ‘conservative’ fashion in photographs shared on his Facebook page.In a post on Facebook, shared on 31st October 2013, Lloyd Lewis North offered up a photograph of a person with a noose around their neck brandishing a very large carving knife. Frankly, for someone who has sought high office and is a member of the Conservative Party, one has to ask: “Is that appropriate?”Most photographs on the new Tory councillor’s Facebook page feature more ‘conservative’ moments of his life – amongst them, this image of him on 24th April 2013 posing with a cardboard cutout of Queen Elizabeth II.In May 2011, ‘From The Hornets Nest’ reported that Lloyd North had been selected as a candidate for the Conservatives in the Brompton Ward of RBKC. The blog shared also that the “ardent fan of former PM and Chelsea resident Maggie Thatcher” had “started his own Facebook fan page” devoted to her. That page is now defunct it seems, but ‘FTHN’ also revealed there was a “mock up picture of a character from ‘Little Britain,’ with Hornet believes is Mr North’s features superimposed onto the photo. Quite what this has to do with the Iron Lady is anyones guess, but expect it is supposed to show a passing resemblence to Baroness Thatcher – how this rather disrespectful approach squares with the supposed fan base is another thing.”Whether Neil Parish’s ‘tractor porn’ involved gay or straight individuals is unknown. Whether he has watched fellow Tory Lloyd North’s ‘works’ ever is also unknown. The now former MP and former MEP has been unsurprisingly widely mocked on social media. Of him whilst sharing a picture of Parish’s farm and a tractor located there, journalist Lewis Clarke remarked: “I’m not remotely turned on it by myself, but each to their own I suppose.” Whether the new councillor for Campden Ward, Kensington’s porn ‘works’ will be turning on or alternatively scandalising anyone in the council chambers of RBKC remains yet to be seen.
He was looking for tractors but ended up with porn actors? 🚜
Neil Parish must think you were all born yesterday.
Of the now former Tiverton and Honiton MP, Labour MP Angela Rayner – herself known for joking about her own ‘Sharon Stone moment’ in Parliament and then bleating and blubbing that those that repeated such were sexists – tweeted: “He was looking for tractors but ended up with porn actors? Neil Parish must think you were all born yesterday.”Last night’s big local elections 2022 shock came in the form of the Tories losing not only Wandsworth but also Westminster. The last time the party got a genuine shock there was after the scandal of the then Dame Shirley Porter being surcharged for gerrymandering as part of the “homes for votes scandal.” Further shock might come in the Royal Borough of Kensington And Chelsea if an Estonian ex-convict and ‘Playboy’ cover girl named Anna-Maria Gaoljan joins ex-porn actor Lloyd ‘Mr Leather’ North on the council. As was reported in ‘The Steeple Times’ in late April, Miss Galojan – who has been snapped with everyone from Boris Johnson to Prince Michael of Kent – was recently appointed to the committee of Campden Ward Conservatives and thus became the second “saucy” sort to hold a position in the party in that locality. Pwoah!
Whilst Cardinal (John) Henry Newman got made a saint, Carrie Johnson’s Abba dancing buddy Henry Newman has been binned and turfed out with the rubbish
Oxford University educated Cardinal John Henry Newman was canonised as a saint in the Catholic Church in October 2019. Meanwhile earlier that year, his namesake, a spad of plainer birth but of the same alma mater, “discretely charmed by the bourgeoisie” Henry John Newman, got himself elevated when his Abba dancing partner, Carrie Johnson, got her clammering claws on the keys to the nation’s second most famous home, 10 Downing Street.
Now, whilst supposedly “sublimated homosexual” Saint John Henry Newman C.O. – despite having being dead for 132 years – is considered a “national treasure” and described as “the first English saint of the modern era” according to The Tablet, his openly gay namesake was this weekend turfed out of Downing Street with the rubbish.
Gone for Brexiteer ‘Bin Boy’ Henry Newman – who was bizarrely photographed pointing at bags of refuse in Camden in 2017 whilst standing to become a councillor – will be the days of quaffing booze on the terrace of the half acre garden behind the official residences of the Prime Minister and the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Now, instead, this graduate also of equally fabled institutions including Harvard and the London School of Economics, will have to pleasure himself with a pint in a pub in The Marquis of Granby after days working in the less salubrious surrounds of Marsham Street back with his supposed sometime flatmate Michael Gove.
According to the Daily Mail’s Andrew Pierce this morning, Newman was so important to Carrie Johnson that the Prime Minister allowed him to celebrate his 38th birthday last summer – hardly a milestone of any note – with a lavish bash at Chequers, the grace-and-favour residence intended for entertaining visiting statesmen and international dignitaries.
“It turned out to be a very high-spirited affair,” Pierce reported, with “Housing Secretary Michael Gove riding pillion as Boris Johnson took him on a joy-ride on his second-hand Yamaha motorcycle around the grounds. Gove clasped his hands around Boris’s ample waist as they nudged speeds of 55mph, while Newman – clutching a flute of champagne – laughed and cheered.”
Gone now are such privileges and gone also is Newman’s desk close to Boris Johnson’s study and instead this alleged “Chatty Rat” – if we are to believe Dominic Cummings – “has been banished to work with his former mentor Gove at his departmental HQ a 15-minute walk away in Marsham Street.” This once influential spad – whom once suggested on Facebook: “[What I’m] thinking [is that] this country needs is a new taskforce” – it appears, has been disposed just like a binbag full of stinking, rotten fish.
For Newman, this downgrade will no doubt seem heartless and unfair, but, as Pierce added: “It was [his] intimate relationship with Mrs Johnson that has proved his undoing.” He now faces likely criticism into what went on with ‘Partygate’ in Sue Gray’s report and as the journalist concluded: “There will be fewer cosy chats in the Downing Street flat in the future.”
Elsewhere, in a ‘Comment’ piece this morning, The Sun declared: “Only time will tell if the ‘greased piglet’ [Boris Johnson’ left it too late to escape” slaughter by his very own party. They neglected to remark on how it will continue to go from bad to worse for his spendaholic, power crazed wife ‘Carrie Antoinette’ now that she’s lost “her rock” and equivalent of Paul Burrell to the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
A fan of wearing beanie hats that declare: “Let’s get Brexit done,” here is a young man who taught politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), after studying at the University of Oxford, Harvard University and the London School of Economics. Henry Newman reportedly then “cut his teeth” working in the Cabinet Office during the coalition government years and then joined Michael Gove’s entourage in the Ministry of Justice after he was appointed as the Lord Chancellor in 2015.Aside from having travelled to Russia in his youth, Henry Newman joined the Vote Leave campaign during the 2016 referendum campaign and, according to ‘The Telegraph’ “was among a close circle of Mr Gove’s friends who were said to have helped to convince him to ‘knife’ Mr Johnson and torpedo his bid for the Tory leadership by deciding to run himself.” Later, a director of the pro-Brexit Open Europe think-tank, Newman was then rewarded for being “loyal” to his wine chucking bestie Carrie Symonds when Boris Johnson came to power.
‘Bin Boy’ Henry Newman’s words of wisdom on Facebook…
“Is drunk.”
“Is opening an organic box.”
“Is discreetly charmed by the bourgeoisie.”
“Is drowning in honey, stingless.”
“Once you kill a cow you gotta make a burger.”
“Wondering if he is really a top concern for US immigration.”
“Waiting for Jacqui Smith to resign.”
“Is dancing, dancing, dancing… Is listening to rumba in W. Hartford… Is dancing in the dark… Is missing dancing.”
“Is listening to the Stones while the economy collapses.”
“Is watching his tan fall off.”
“Hates people who don’t know how to use a rowing machine.”
“Is thinking what this country needs is a new taskforce.”
Descriptions of Henry Newman by…
Boris Johnson:
“One of my three musketeers.”
Carrie Symonds:
“One of my four favourite people.”
Toby Young:
“He is a new role model… If you were a [politics show] booker who had to find someone… Newman was the only name on your Rolodex.”
“As the oxygen went out of Theresa May’s premiership, and her withdrawal agreement began to breathe its last, the great balloon of his career became more and more inflated.”
Dominic Cummings:
“All the evidence [regarding the second lockdown leak] definitely leads to Henry Newman… I’m just trying to get the communications data to prove it.”
An unnamed “senior government source”:
“The allegations against Henry Newman are entirely false. He wouldn’t be working in Downing Street if he was suspected of leaking information.”
An unnamed “Downing Street insider” to The Mail on Sunday:
“This is the man who did more than anyone to encourage Michael [Gove] to stab Boris in the back.”
“But he’s used his relationship with Carrie to ingratiate himself back into the inner circle. He’s always up in the flat with her, and that gives him direct access to the PM. The rest of the No. 10 team have no idea what he’s saying to him. And that’s the root cause of a lot of this.”
Newman’s childish Facebook posts are not indicative of someone of academic note and his rise through government should be questioned as a result. Did he get there because of merit or simply because he was a ‘FOC’ (‘Friend of Carrie’)? The answer seems very, very clear.Henry Newman, like fellow mouthy sorts such as Diane Abbott, Jay Beecher and Owen Jones, likes to pontificate and peddle, but when called out, he simply hits the block button. Hardly the actions of someone who would like to think himself an able debater at the Oxford Union and more those of someone ‘trained’ by the wine chucking harpy Carrie Johnson.
Led By Donkeys does it again with a “Who Exactly Does The Metropolitan Police Work For, Ma’am?” video meme that suggests Dame Cressida Dick works for Downing Street rather than British citizens
Metropolitan Police commissioner Dame Cressida Dick DBE, QPM doesn’t like the BBC’s Line of Duty drama series. She was, in fact, “absolutely outraged by it, but now the brilliant chaps behind the guerilla operation that is Led By Donkeys have used it to give her another bite in the bum.
Published as a video meme on Twitter yesterday, a 26-second mockup of Dame Cressida being questioned by the actor Adrian Dunbar – who stars as Superintendent Ted Hastings in Line of Duty.
The clip, which has been retweeted 17,500 times already and liked by nearly 53,000 Twitter accounts, begins with Dame Cressida stating: “We have a long established and effective working relationship with, er, the Cabinet Office.”
Superintendent Hastings then replies: “Who Exactly Does The Metropolitan Police Work For, Ma’am? Our citizens or Boris Johnson?”
Dame Cressida, head bowed shamefully, then answers: “Downing Street” before scowling whilst scratching her chin.
Again today, we join the majority in calling for Dame Cressida to finally do the decent thing: It is time for this incompetent woman to accept that the rotten force she presides over needs, as Dame Doreen Lawrence has repeatedly called for since 1993, wholesale reform. That reform must begin with a new commissioner at the helm and with Dame Cressida Dick pensioned off to somewhere far from public office.
Twitter users universally condemned the nation’s premier police force as incompetent and rightly pointed out that there is “zero public confidence in it.”Ostrich anus eating ‘Nasty Nad’ (AKA Nadine Dorries), House of Commons sleeper Jacob Rees-Mogg and £800-a-roll wallpaper loving ‘Carrie On Regardless’ (AKA cake offerer Carrie Johnson) may think father of an unknown number of sprogs ‘Boris The Buffoon’ (AKA Boris Johnson) is doing the right thing in trying to coverup ‘Partygate’ with the help of the rotten-to-its-core Metropolitan Police and incompetent Dame Cressida Dick, a school and university chum of sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell. They are on the wrong side of history and it is jolly well time the public get to see an unredacted copy of Sue Gray’s report into what knees-ups went on in Downing Street whilst grieving families weren’t even allowed to attend the funerals of their relatives.
The Met’s Catalogue of Failures
There is now zero public confidence in the frankly incompetent Metropolitan Police and one Twitter user, June Sim, rightly stated of it yesterday: “The Met has always been a byword amongst regional forces. We used to joke if you were rejected, they’ll take anybody. Not helped by the reputation confirmed by the Daniel Morgan report. Reputation already tarnished.”
Amongst the many failings of what ought to be the nation’s premier police force – aside from multiple allegations of racism and racial bias against its officers, its failure to deal with spiraling teenage murders and the many allegations of corruption and incompetence levelled at it – are:
1987 – Botched investigation into the murder of Daniel Morgan.
1993 – Botched investigation into the murder of Stephen Lawrence.
1994 – Botched investigation into allegations that Ghislaine Maxwell operated a brothel in South Kensington.
2009 – Unlawful killing of Ian Tomlinson during his arrest by Met Police officers.
2005 – Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes by Met Police officers on the orders of Cressida Dick.
2013 – Strip searching of Dr Koshka Duff during her arrest for intervening during a Met Police stop-and-search of a black teenager.
2014 – Bungled investigation into allegations of historic child abuse made by Carl Beech.
2014 to 2015 – Failure to stop Stephen Port committing subsequent serial killings in spite of his already being linked to the death of a man outside his home.
2019 – Farcical mismanagement of policing of Extinction Rebellion protests leading to a bill of £37 million in policing costs.
2020 – Misconduct of Met Police officers during their investigation into the murders of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman.
2020 – Found to be 2.17 times as likely to issue fines to black people relative to the rest of the population during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.
2021 – Misconduct of Met Police officers during their investigation into the disappearance of Richard Okorogheye.
2021 – Met Police officer Ben Hannam found to be a member of a banned terrorist group.
2021 – Shocking conduct of Met Police officers after the murder of Sarah Everard by one of their own colleagues.
2022 – Apparent collaboration with Boris Johnson and his government to delay report into ‘Partygate.’
Dame Cressida (pictured with Priti Patel and Boris Johnson) has previously come under fire over crises under her watch that have numbered the disgraceful shooting and killing of an innocent man, Jean Charles de Menezes. She has also been slammed over the Met’s use of stop and search tactics, the handlings of recommendations made after the botched Operation Midland, the arrests of attendees at a candlelight vigil for murdered-by-a-serving-Met-officer Sarah Eveard and complaints by the Daniel Morgan Independent Panel that she obstructed their inquiry into police corruption.
The BBC’s ‘Four Lives’ – a drama based on the serial killer Stephen Port – provides further illustration of the incompetence of the Metropolitan Police; it is time for wholesale reform and for cat-like Dame Cressida Dick’s nine lives to end
We’ve repeatedly suggested we truly don’t believe Dame Cressida Dick DBE, QPM could organise a piss-up in a brewery; now, with the airing of the three-part Four Lives on BBC One, comes further proof that this incompetent woman and those that work under her couldn’t even find a serial killer in a graveyard and whose failings resulted in three killings entirely avoidable.
Featuring the story of Stephen Port and four men he sadistically drugged, raped and murdered in Barking, London in 2014 and 2015 – Anthony Walgate, 23; Gabriel Kovari, 22; Daniel Whitworth, 21 and Jack Taylor, 25 – Four Lives, as The Guardian’s Lucy Mangan points out, does “make the victims live again.” It is a story that doesn’t just focus on the sickness of the slayer, but also one that celebrates the spirit and souls of the slayed and equally, it rightly illustrates the disgraceful ineptness and cackhandedness of the Met Police.
Described in March 2017 as a “catalogue of police failings,” the Met’s decision to ignore credible witnesses prepared to state what they knew about Port and their refusal to admit to the family members of the victims that the deaths of their loved ones were anything other than “sordid misadventures gone wrong” – in spite of clear evidence to the contrary – again illustrates a police force riddled with rot.
Officers mixed up clearly different individuals featured in CCTV imagery walking and not walking with Port and did not even listen to the woman who found the bodies of two of the victims on two separate occasions in the same location in the very same churchyard. Of this, she later remarked: “They had no idea what they were doing.” Instead, they basically just wanted this whole “episode” swept under the carpet and without the tenacity of one victim’s mother, they’d have gotten away with just that.
The Metropolitan Police emerge from this story with yet more stains of incompetence and guilt and yet again today we call for its head’s head to roll. It is impossible to bring back the four lives lost to Stephen Port, but it is possible for cat-like Dame Cressida Dick’s nine lives to finally end. She ought to do the decent thing as we begin 2022: Resign with her head held in shame.
Pictured top – Rapist and serial killer Stephen Port (often monikered as ‘The Grindr Killer’ and pictured far left and left with Stephen Merchant playing him) was given a life sentence with a whole life order on the 25th November 2016, meaning he we never be released; last night’s ‘Four Lives’ showed the force that Dame Cressida Dick (right) currently heads, yet again, to be inept and uncaring towards the families of victims. She, as head honcho, needs to take responsibility and after her having been seen to preside over countless other similarly grossly handled episodes, it is time for her do one thing: Just go.
Dame Cressida (pictured with Priti Patel and Boris Johnson) has previously come under fire over crises under her watch that have numbered the disgraceful shooting and killing of an innocent man, Jean Charles de Menezes. She has also been slammed over the Met’s use of stop and search tactics, the handlings of recommendations made after the botched Operation Midland, the arrests of attendees at a candlelight vigil for murdered-by-a-serving-Met-officer Sarah Eveard and complaints by the Daniel Morgan Independent Panel that she obstructed their inquiry into police corruption.Dame Cressida Dick has been the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis since 2017. She first joined the Metropolitan Police as a constable in 1983 and returned to the force in 2001 as first a commander before rising to the top of the tree. She is now under fire after ‘The Steeple Times’ revealed that a 1994 investigation into an alleged brothel being operated at the then home of the now convicted sex abuser Ghislaine Maxwell – a woman Dame Cressida went to both school and university with – in South Kensington, London was swept under the carpet and has never been reinvestigated. We again ask: “Why?”
Twitter users get into a tizzy as to whether the new ‘Battersea Power Station’ should be called that or ‘Battersea Power Station Station’; let’s get them started on ‘King’s Road’ vs. ‘Kings Road’
People who use Twitter can be beyond pedantic, but yesterday “the world’s only model village and miniature city expert” and presenter of UKTV’s The Architecture The Railways BuiltTim Dunn got 6,400 of them overexcited by arguing that the sign for the new Battersea Power Station underground stop should actually read ‘Battersea Power Station Station.’
Claiming “OK, yes, this might be my OCD rising but I LIKE CONSISTENCY,” Mr Dunn suggested that Transport for London’s “guidelines say that the blue panel/lozenge above the entrance must say ‘X STATION.’” He cited as evidence for his claim images of the entrances to the stops at Woodford, Burnt Oak and Bond Street – all of which feature the word “station” after their names.
The sign at Covent Garden lacks the word “station,” however. As does the original entrance at Hyde Park Corner. The current signage above ground simply reads “Underground” whilst internally there is no mention of “station” either.
Though it appears Dunn is correct in the main, Covent Garden seems to be an exception to this rule and does not carry the word “station” on the signage at its entrance. Equally, at Hyde Park Corner the signage at ground level just reads ‘Underground’ and the original entrance lacked the word “station” also.
In response, whilst one Twitter user suggested: “A station is only a station if it isn’t already a station” and another added: “I was listening to a featuring on this on BBC Radio 4; made my brain ache,” the majority agreed with the “inner pedant” of Dunn, another pointedly concluded: “THEY ARE THE RULES.”
Given that’s decided then, perhaps Mr Dunn and chums could move onto deciding what another contentiously named London transportation link should be referenced. It is time for someone to finally solve the ongoing debate of whether it is the ‘Kings Road’ or ‘King’s Road.’ Even, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea council haven’t been able to make their minds up about that.
In the case of the signage for the “Kings Road” or “King’s Road” in SW3, the local council, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, cannot even make up their minds. The signage at South Kensington Underground Station complies with the “rules” Mr Dunn suggests Transport for London operate by.As does that at Knightsbridge Underground Station.
Matthew Steeples joins those condemning toothy tealeaf and “socialite sociopath” Angela Gulbenkian’s short sentence for art fraud
Toothy tealeaf Angela Gulbenkian was shockingly sentenced to just three years, six months in prison on Friday.
“Credited,” according to Artnet, with having served two years already after being detained on a European arrest warrant for her in excess of £1 million crime, this 39-year-old “sociopath socialite” will now likely remarkably serve less than half that time.
Before sending her down at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, Judge David Tomlinson observed: “Both counts on the indictment involve, in comparative terms, thefts of very large sums of money. Running through all of this criminality was a sustained obfuscation on your part. When AIL and Ms. Ball separately tried to get you to deliver on your promise, your treatment of them prolonged the distress.”
Speaking to The Steeple Times later, Jane Morris of Percy Bass – whose firm remains unpaid by the deservedly now in-the-clink art dealer – remarked of Gulbenkian’s surprisingly short sentence:
“It seems a very short sentence given her antics have affected a lot of peoples’ lives. I cannot believe it and is in her nature to do it again. They do not take art fraud seriously enough in this country and the courts should have been far less lenient towards her.”
Going further, in a comment to Artnet’s Taylor Defoe by email, Christopher Marinello, the lawyer for Gulbenkian’s most significant financially victim, added:
“In my view, this sends the wrong message to the post-Brexit London art market. It says to me that fraudsters are welcome in London to ply their trade, to spend and hide their ill-gotten gains on property and luxury goods, as long as the [Revenue and Customs department] gets their share.”
Mr Marinello and Mrs Morris are both quite right. The sentence given is appallingly lacking and today we join those calling for this wicked wastrel woman to be given extra time.
Angela Gulbenkian – who traded on her links to the famous family into which she married – should have received a far harsher sentence. ‘Awful Ange’ (as one former friend nicknamed this conniving thief) deserves to rot given her victims have recouped little to nothing of what she spent indulging herself with a £218,000 shopping bill, £121,000 on travel, a £25,000 Rolex watch and £56,000 on art amongst other things.
At sentencing, Judge David Tomlinson repeatedly remarked on the “distress” caused by the German socialite to her victims. Whilst her defence had highlighted how she had lost her previously “lavish lifestyle” when her husband had stopped working for his family’s business, the Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Laura Hoon responded: “[She] used her status and powerful connections in the art dealing world to portray an air of legitimacy while carrying out her criminal activities. She stole thousands and concocted a web of lies for months on end.”
Susie Dent shares the fascinating origin of “going to the polls” just as Count Binface looks to get more votes than Laurence Fox in spite of the latter having a ludicrous £5 million campaign pot
With voting underway across the country, “that woman in Dictionary Corner” Susie Dent this morning shared with her 753,000 followers on Twitter the origin of “going to the polls” this morning:
Origin of the day: the ‘poll’ in ‘going to the polls’ originally meant ‘head’, referring to the counting of heads or votes. A ‘noddypoll’ was an incompetent fool, a ‘clod-poll’ a blockhead, and a ‘tadpoll’ (later ‘tadpole’) a ‘toad-head’.
“It has been a very long, and very tedious, London election campaign, but for some of the capital’s voters, perhaps bewildered by the multitude of different voting systems employed and vast number of candidates for Mayor or the London Assembly, there has been one bright spot: Count Binface.”
“In elections that were postponed from 2020, among the various races-within-the-race for City Hall, there is a fascination among those who long ago tired of the lies of Tory Shaun Bailey or the deadly dull platitudes of Sadiq Khan (did you know: his father was a London bus driver?), the idea that a geezer with a bin on his head could attract more votes than the spittle-flecked campaign of Laurence Fox has lightened the mood these past couple of weeks.”
“And what’s more, unlike so much of so many of the pointless political campaigns, Binface is actually doing some good, by raising thousands of pounds for homelessness charities.”
Elsewhere on social media yesterday, Count Binface himself shared an amusing video based on Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody asking his followers to make him their first choice today. The Steeple Times’ editor Matthew Steeples duly obliged when he headed to St Columba’s Church of Scotland in Pont Street, SW1 this morning and casted a protest for Max Fosh as his second choice also.
LONDON! Here's my final pitch to be your mayor, and/or the UK's next Eurovision entry. Make me your first choice vote, and together we will crush the loopy candidates. (You know who I mean.) #VoteBinfacepic.twitter.com/lZ7BpqE7Qv
Going to the Polls – Count Binface morphed into Whitney Houston to share his final pitch to be the next Mayor of London “and/or the UK’s next Eurovision entry.” He urged: “Make me your first choice vote, and together we will crush the loopy candidates. (You know who I mean.)”
Going to the Polls – Boris Johnson was escorted to vote in Westminster by his latest baby mama Carrie Symonds at just before 8am this morning. Whether she had to help the ‘noddypoll’ PM mark his voting card or not is unknown.Going to the Polls – Many Twitter users mocked the ex-actor Fox and remarked of their desire for Count Binface to actually be his ex-wife Billie Piper in disguise.Going to the Polls – The parody Boris Johnson account went further and declared: “To be honest, I don’t care if we take Hartlepool, as long as Count Binface beats that streak of piss, Laurence Fox.” 1,200 clicked “love” in response. Author Emma Kennedy added: “When Count Binface gets more votes than Waitrose Tommy Robinson tomorrow, I look forward to the 3682 5k thinkpieces/profile articles in The Telegraph and Sunday Times telling us what a brave visionary Count Binface is. Also: BBCQT AHOY!” and got 1,600 “loves” also.Going to the Polls – John O’Connell announced: “Duty done. I voted. Now I can freely spend the rest of the day taking the piss out of Shaun Bailey and Laurence Fox, and cheering on Count Binface.”
