Laura Bott reports on Orvis hosting a dog friendly event at their Lower Regent Street store in London

On 14th September, the Orvis flagship store in London rolled out the green carpet for ‘dogs about town’ and their owners to celebrate the launch of its new dog department. Throughout the day guests were invited to join the ‘pawesome party’ which brought together dog brands, including The Dog Treat Company, Rokabone, Benyfit Natural and Snuffle Dog Beer.

Orvis’ inaugural dog-friendly event saw Instagram-famous dogs including Lola Zambuni and Marcel “Le Corgi” enjoying the plush Orvis memory foam dog beds. Perfect for both the town and country dog, this event was a fantastic opportunity to sample the best of pet-friendly products. Dogs of all breeds were particularly eager to make the most of the free tasty dog treats and irresistible dog beer. The top dog photo competition saw Chocolate Labrador, Jeff, win the award for ‘Orvis Dog of Month’ and his photo is now proudly displayed in store.

Guests and their pooches spent the evening shopping for fashionable leads and collars from Rokabone and testing out Orvis’ new ‘doggy spa’. In turn, each was presented for a photoshoot with canine photographer Ashley Timms.

There was a ‘pawsitively’ feel-good drinks reception where guests enjoyed canapés and their dogs enjoyed special treats. It was a perfect way to ‘pow-wow’ and a great celebration of man’s best friend. All left with their tails wagging.
