This big-haired New York and Newport based socialite and aviation enthusiast co-founded Helicopter Flight Services in 1985. Topsy Taylor has been described as having “one of the last mid-Atlantic accents” and was married to the financier George McFadden (1941 – 2008) between 1969 and 1991. An early supporter of the City Harvest charity and the owner of Gooseberry Island, Newport, Taylor once commented: “I’m accepting of change… if I like the change”.
