A “much loved” fashion journalist and critic, Suzy Menkes is best known for her Madame de Pompadour style haircut. “Frank” and a lover of “fashion maximalism”, widowed mother of three Menkes played herself in Absolutely Fabulous in 1996 and was once described by Kate Moss as “like a slightly mad auntie”. She has some 20,000 followers on Twitter, believes that “a girl should never accept anything but flowers and chocolates” and thinks the term “luxury” is a “no, no word”.

I only hear good things about Suzy from serious media figures
