The son of businessman King Harris and publishing heiress Anne Hearst McInerney, Randy Harris celebrated his 21st birthday party at the ‘21’ Club in 2012 alongside members of the Bush, Hearst, Rockefeller and Tobin dynasties. At the event, he is said to have joked of his stepfather, the novelist and food critic Jay McInerney, “everyone should stay and party, the way Jay did in the ’80s” whilst Avenue Magazine’s R. Couri Hay has since described this New York society fixture as “smart, attractive and modest”.
