This Harvard graduate’s guilty pleasures are “raves, vodka, European sneakers and overpriced doctors”, but James Hirschfeld is truly best known for co-founding Paperless Post, a stationery e-commerce business, with his sister Alexa in 2008. By 2014, the company had gained 50 million users and raised over £16 million ($25 million) in funding. Users of his service include Michael Bloomberg, President Obama and Diane von Fürstenberg and of social occasions, Hirschfeld himself comments: “Parties are only as fun as their hosts”.
