Robert Dyas publish a video advert about sexuality that can only be defined as bizarre
Gay, bisexual or straight – It’s simply not meant to matter. Plainly, though, the management of the hardware chain Robert Dyas feel quite to the contrary.
In a festive advert published on 10th December, employees of the hardware store chain refer to a Christmas tree that “will appeal to both straights and gays” and go as far to define “Robert Dyas [as the place] where straights and gays can buy drills and much, much more”.

Whilst 1,617 individuals of the 455,162 to have watched this 1:02 minute oddity have given it a thumbs up, 1,562 have done just the opposite. Several commented that they will be withdrawing their custom and one went as far to conclude: “This advert is more annoying than being happy slapped in the face by [a] mischievous polar bear”. They are right: We make this our Video of the Week purely on the basis of how cringeworthy it truly it is. Watch it and fail to be amused.
