Fergie’s Foot F**k Ups

After the ‘Daily Mail’s’ Richard Kay shared what he knew of Diana, Princess of Wales’ non-reconciliation with Sarah, Duchess of York because of verrucas, we look at other examples of Fergie’s foot related f**k ups

Late last night, on what would have been the eve of the 60^th birthday of Diana, Princess of Wales, the rightly revered journalist and friend of the royal Richard Kay wrote about what he remembers of her 36^th and last birthday in 1997.

In a scorching article for the Daily Mail, Kay brought up not only Donald Trump and David Tang, but also referenced Prince Harry and Prince William’s mother’s animosity to her former sister-in-law, Sarah, Duchess of York that day – and revealed, once again, that it was caused by a row over foot infections.

Speaking of ‘verruca-gate,’ Kay remarked:

“Later that night, [Diana] called me again. Among the birthday cards had been a letter from Fergie. The two women, who had been through so much together, were now estranged.”

“The reason? Fergie’s autobiography in which she had written that she had once caught verrucas from wearing a pair of Diana’s shoes. There were other reasons, too, involving issues of trust.”

“The princess was furious and, ever since the book’s publication the previous autumn, the pair had not spoken. Until this point, nobody knew. But that night a newspaper was set to go public with the details.”

“A friend alerted Diana and she immediately abandoned the letter of thanks she was about to write to the duchess in which she said she was prepared to offer her friendship again. The two women, once so close because of adversity, were never to be reconciled.”

Toe sucking twerp Sarah Ferguson with the then Lady Meyer, a lover of Chanel shoes amongst other things and an advisor on footwear to the “kitten heeled” cretin Theresa May amongst others.

Curiously, feet and foot fetishes seem to be something that go side-by-side with Fergie. Not only did her toe sucking incident with John Bryan in August 1992 soil her somewhat already soiled ‘reputation,’ but it must be remembered that the ‘Duchess of Dork’ also got herself involved with the shameless and not-at-all selfless charity tinbanger Catherine (now unbelievably and quite unjustifiably Baroness) Meyer in the 2000s – a “Chanel clad” woman who cringeworthily once made Michael (now Lord) Howard drink champagne out of her shoe at a party.

Going further and after taking money from the thankfully now croaked paedophile Jeffrey Epstein with the help of her other mate, the now incarcerated mucky madam Ghislaine Maxwell, the ‘Duchess of Downright Dim’ stuck her pork trotters in the proverbial in May 2019 whilst visiting Ontario, Canada. For the occasion, this ludicrous lush wore a not-so-ironic pair of pumps emblazoned with “never complain and “never explain.” Whilst she certainly had “foot-in-mouth” disease on that outing, it remains unknown if she had a verruca to go with them also.

It’s now time for one final thing for childlike ‘Farting Fergie’; it’s finally time to shoe out this ridiculous rotter before she shoves her terrible tootsies in yet another slurry pit.

On Thursday 20th August 1992, the ‘Daily Mirror’ shared what they called “the pictures they didn’t want you to see.” In them, a topless Duchess of York was shown having her toes sucked in the South of France by a Texan millionaire named John Bryan. Of the incident, the ‘Mirror’ later reported: “Royal writer Richard Kay claimed in the ‘Daily Mail’ that he received a message via pager from Princess Diana the night before the photos hit the newspaper stands. Diana’s message was simple: ‘The redhead’s in trouble.’”

One is left wondering if Sarah, Duchess of York (pictured here with her deservedly incarcerated mucky madam mate Ghislaine Maxwell) spent any of the money she got from the paedophile, sex trafficker of children Jeffrey Epstein on shoes.

‘Henley’s 9/11’ – BinGate (Part II)

Row about ‘heritage’ bins and solar bins in Henley rumbles on; temper tantrum prone ‘Cavalier councillor’ David Eggleton still isn’t satisfied

In January, we reported on a colossal row between councillors over rubbish receptacles in Henley-on-Thames. It resulted in one, a gobby grandad and participant in “many popular soaps” as an actor named David Eggleton “storming away from his camera” and resigning.

Now still, it seems, the ‘BinGate’ saga – widely referenced online as equivalent to “Henley’s 9/11” – isn’t over and this week the local rag, the Henley Herald, returned to report on another council meeting about this trashy topic. They even featured a link to its live stream on YouTube, but only described Eggleton’s previous temper tantrum as having occurred because “his fellow party councillors were not listening to him.”

“I don’t believe in waste” curiously announced self-declared “expert about waste” Eggleton during the Zoom conference on 16^th February. He then added: “On the solar bins… The have chips in them that tell you when they are full, but unfortunately [the bin collectors] haven’t got the software… It doesn’t make any sense… I would say this needs relooking at and shouldn’t go ahead… I won’t be voting for agreeing with these to go ahead.”

‘Bingate Part II,’ as the paper branded it, is plainly far from cleared up, but in other news shared by the publication, it was the slightly more important to the nation Henley Royal Regatta being moved to August that took prominence.

In March 2019, the ‘Henley Standard’ reported on David Eggleton being nominated for “the local hero award” by his mum and winning. At the time, he cryptically revealed “he was organising new projects, but would not reveal any details.”

David Eggleton does have interests in matters other than muck. In 2018, he took part in training in the use of speed cameras with fellow councillor Lorraine Hillier whilst dressed in some especially dirty clothing. Ms Hillier donned a condom-esque coat for the occasion.

Word of the Week 2021 – ‘Meghan Markled’

The tedious twerp formerly known as Meghan Markle has had her maiden name turned into both a verb and a noun – go get ‘Meghan Markled’

Last week, both the Guardian and The Sun revealed a note of amusement in the context of the otherwise tedious familial feud between the devious Duchess of Sussex and her fobbed-off father in sharing that the walk-away royal has had her maiden name turned into a verb.

Whilst The Sun predictably mocked this trivial story at a time of a lack of news other than coronavirus, the Guardian’s “social justice” focused columnist Poppy Noor unsurprisingly lauded “to Meghan Markle” – or as she somewhat soppily put it, “to get the hell out [when] love is not returned.”

Noor went further and, in a decidedly ‘woke’ fashion, added of the Duchess of Sussex’s decision to head off to the land of profit in LA: “You could understand why Meghan Markle, who opted out of royalty this month after a year of being hounded and vilified by a racist, rightwing press could be referred to in some circles as the patron saint of good mental health” and shared a definition

“Meghan Markle, a verb, past tense – Meghan Markled: to value yourself and your mental health enough to up and leave a room/ situation/ environment in which your authentic self is not welcomed or wanted.”

Elsewhere previously, in January 2018, the Urban Dictionary took another view on what being ‘Meghan Markle’ and being ‘Meghan Markled’ means. They suggested it to be a “noun for coming up nicely despite your family’s socio-economic status.”

Putting it in context, they gave an example:

“A: I wonder how Lisa is doing. I haven’t spoken to her since her family drama situation. Poor thing.”

“B: Girl, she’s engaged to a Russian billionaire now. She Meghan Markle’d her way to the top!”

We’ll leave it to you, good readers, to decide which you prefer, but one thing’s for sure the saga of the attention obsessed ‘Modern Day Mrs Simpson’ and her row with the media: It isn’t going to end any time soon.

Put a Bloody Bin in it!

“Waste expert” Henley-on-Thames deputy mayor resigns over ding-dong about a decision over 22 new ‘heritage’ bins; two of the bins are remarkably solar powered and in total are set to cost a staggering £19,000

Last October, we featured a ritzy Christie’s auction where five secondhand waste bins sold for the astounding sum of £33,900. God knows who the rubbish loving buyer was, but if they’re looking to contribute to a local community, Henley-on-Thames has been having a bit of a ding-dong over its bins since October 2020.

Featured this week on the Facebook group ‘Angry People in Local Newspapers’ and in the Henley Standard and Henley Herald newspapers also, the now widely told tale of “Henley’s 9/11” meets “Bingate” (as it has been branded) provides illustration of how small-minded busybodies can cost a community a fortune and divide its occupants.

Concerning the plainly much discussed matter of what to replace 22 ‘heritage’ litter bins in the town with, “The Great Henley Bin Scandal” descended into chaos last week when councillors argued over whether to buy new, larger bins or refurbish existing old ones. The first costly proposal, which was ultimately accepted by five votes to three, was set to cost £19,000 whilst the alternative would have come in at just £6,000.

Of this dirty and somewhat dastardly saga, self-declared “expert about waste in Henley” councillor and deputy mayor David Eggleton – a gobby grandad who runs a house clearance and removals business as well as having “been in many popular soaps” as an actor – whimsically whined to the Henley Herald:

“I think the report was misleading and taking out the option of refurbishing is not democracy. I have the knowledge and expertise around waste and they are not listening to me.”

“I think a proper survey over 6 months should be carried out on which bins are overflowing and where we need bigger ones. This can be easily done by asking the bin collector to do this, but after we are out of this pandemic.”

“I don’t think it’s the right time to do any trial as there is much more takeaway rubbish at the moment. The other thing we need to address is residents fly tipping their household rubbish in the town’s public bins. I’ve caught people on lots of occasions doing this.”

Concluding about why he’d thrown his toys out of the pram and left the Henley Residents Group (or ‘HRG’ to its few friends), Eggleton “stormed away from his camera” after pathetically blubbing:

“I’ve resigned because a few of the HRG councillors are making me uncomfortable to work with them.”

“I don’t think councillors Miller and Gawrysiak have got the expertise to put those bins where they’ve located them – end of story, leaving the meeting goodbye… And I can tell you something else as well. Just before I leave, I’m resigning from HRG. Okay, goodbye.”

Responding as to why refurbishment was vetoed, another councilor, Sarah Miller, less than optimistically opined: “I believe that the bins have come to end of their life. We could be talking about this again in a year’s time.”

God help the people of Henley-on-Thames if that ludicrously proves to be the conversational case. Instead, we suggest, a complete clear out of councillors might henceforth be the least rubbish solution.

The good folk of Henley-on-Thames illustrated their obsession with litter previously in April 2018, in letters to the ‘Henley Standard.’ Headed: “Disgusted by detritus.” one Maureen Dougall angrily wrote: “There should be some supervision of Mill Meadows during the summer in order to prevent this kind of detritus. Charges should be made for this amount of litter collection and people should be made to realise that someone has to pay for all this extra work. It is fine to enjoy everything that Henley has to offer and visitors are to be welcomed, but this should not incur extra work for our public services which are under great financial pressures, notwithstanding the dangers of pollution.”

Reaction to the story on Facebook’s ‘Angry People in Local Newspapers’ group was predictable in rubbishing councillor David Eggleton’s enthusiasm for bins. Group member Will Paddy Paterson remarked: “In years to come your grandchild will be on your knee and might turn to ask you… ‘Grandpa where were YOU during Henley’s 9/11?’ Make sure you stand up for what’s right now, or otherwise you will feel the shame of inaction. Hashtag prayers.”

“The Great Henley Bin Scandal” was much discussed in the group and one Jason Mitchell observed: “Bins seem to arouse very strong feelings among the English.”

A Massive Media Maelstrom – McCann, Mandelson and Maxwell

Matthew Steeples highlights how the ‘Mandelson Media Method’ is very much in play in both the case of the Prince Andrew-Jeffrey Epstein connection and the renewed interest in the Madeleine McCann disappearance

According to the former British ambassador to Uzbekistan turned activist and human rights campaigner Craig Murray, when Madeleine McCann went missing on 3^rd May 2007 “New Labour’s No. 10 saw, in typical Blair fashion, a highly photogenic tragedy which there might be popularity in appearing to work on.”

Guided by the “Prince of Darkness at the heart of New Labour” with “his dark satanic looks” and “his Machiavellian meddling,” the political party Peter Mandelson ever so brilliantly guided (in terms of electoral success) knew the value of such and they well and truly milked it in the matter of McCann.

As Andrew Marr pointed out in his History of Modern Britain – screened on BBC Four last night – in his example, highlighting the case of the senseless murder of the innocent toddler Jamie Bulger by two truly evil teenagers during John Major’s premiership – Madeleine McCann’s disappearance occurred just a month before Blair left office and Gordon Brown took over. News of it dominated the media during the transition period.

Defining the Brown years – during which Peter Mandelson was a government minister from October 2008 until May 2010 – in terms of the vast acres of pages devoted to the case and garnering disproportionate attention from government thus, as Murray pointed out: “British diplomatic staff were under direct instruction to support the McCanns far beyond the usual.”

Mandelson had his finger on the pulse with the McCann story then and today the proof of its usefulness is still in the pudding by way of the fact that it wiped other ‘bad news’ stories off the front pages in the last week. Equally, as has been the case with the renewal of interest in Prince Andrew’s “has he or hasn’t he” cooperated with the investigations into Jeffrey Epstein in the last 24 hours, here are matters that show that the Mandelson style of media management haven’t moved on.

One rather conveniently unavailable person who links the ‘players’ in these matters is still apparently missing in action. Again, this morning, we again join those asking: “Why doesn’t Ghislaine Maxwell finally come forward?”

In 2009, private investigators for Gerry and Kate McCann issued an E-FIT to the media of a woman they believed could be “potentially significant” to their investigation. She has never been found, but, speculation online (entirely unproven as accurate thus far) has regularly included: “She looks remarkably like Ghislaine Maxwell.” There is no suggestion that this is one and the same woman, but it would be ever so helpful if Miss Maxwell came forward and cleared this up for once and for all.

Peter Mandelson worked with PR spinner Matthew Freud, the late Sir Clement Freud’s son, on the Millennium Dome. The pair have partied together on many occasions – including at Freud’s then marital home, Burford Priory, and most famously with George Osborne, Oleg Deripaska and Nat Rothschild in Corfu.

A Borderline Bonfire Bargain

Manhattan mansion listed for 77% less than in 2014 as part of a “bankruptcy sale;” it is situated on a street featured in Billy Joel’s ‘Close to the Borderline’ that was once termed: “Bloody, Bloody Beekman Place: Where the Wealthy Wind Up Dead”

On 10^th April 1936, Good Friday, a writer named Nancy Titterton was found dead in her bathtub at the home she shared with her husband at 22 Beekman Place in Manhattan. She had been raped and strangled by an upholsterer’s assistant, John Fiorenza, who had ironically repaired a loveseat for the couple. The case of the ‘Beauty in the Bathtub’ ended with Fiorenza’s conviction and execution at Sing Sing on 22^nd January 1937, but for Beekman Place this was not the first nor last murder.

Aside from the killing of Dr Fritz Gebhardt, an industrialist and associate of Hermann Göring, by his lover Vera Stretz in a hotel in the street on 12^th November 1935, on 4^th January 2015, a Princeton graduate named Tommy Gilbert, Jr. shot his financier father in the head at his apartment at 20 Beekman Place. Prior to committing the murder, after a row about his monthly allowance, the 30-year old had sent his mother out to buy him a can of Coca Cola and a sandwich. As a result of these series of slayings, in January 2015, the Daily Beast ran an article about the street with the headline: “Bloody, Bloody Beekman Place: Where the Wealthy Wind Up Dead.”

The naked body of 33-year-old Nancy Titterton was discovered in her bathtub at 22 Beekman Place on 10th April 1936; “Pampered Ivy-leaguer” Tommy Gilbert, Jr. was sentenced to 30 years to life in jail in September 2019 for murdering his father, Thomas Gilbert, Sr. in his apartment at 20 Beekman Place in January 2015.

Now, for altogether different reasons, the street – whose more ‘happy’ residents have included variously not just the Second Lady of the United States, Happy Rockefeller, but also Prince Aly Khan and A&P supermarket heir Huntington Hartford – Beekman Place is making headlines once again.

Whilst the asking prices of properties are often reduced, the case of 22 Beekman Place is an extreme one. Built in 1934 for William S. Paley, the man who “turned CBS from a small radio network into the foremost radio and television network in the United States,” and owned subsequently by a philanthropist and then the twin sister of the Shah of Iran, the house was placed for sale for the plainly extremely over-ambitious sum of £40.2 million in February 2014.

In the period since, the nine floor, 12,260 square foot “trophy mansion| has yo-yoed on and off the market and now after being listed as a “BANKRUPTCY SALE!! Excellent Value – Price Reduced to Sell!!” has just reappeared for ‘just’ £9.2 million.

Described by Curbed New York as having “truly lovely architectural details” and an oval-shaped dining room that has been frequented by “heads of states and foreign dignitaries from all over the world,” the red brick and limestone property has 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. Additionally, it includes 1,500 square foot of outdoor space in the form of two private terraces, a chef’s kitchen, a wine cellar, a lift and a banquet hall.

Agents Compass laud 29 Beekman Place as being “designed with grand scale entertaining in mind” and suggest it “appropriate for a private mansion, live/work, a foundation, or an ideal consulate or diplomat residence.” They add: “Do not miss this opportunity to purchase a piece of New York history,” (but unsurprisingly don’t mention any of the infamous murders in the neighbouring buildings).

Enough is Enough

Funding for the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann must cease; £11 million spent with no result is evidence that enough is enough

Over £11 million has been spent in relation to the search for Madeleine McCann since the then 3-year old disappeared on 3^rd May 2007. The result? Absolutely no progress and a lot of unanswered questions.

Now, with the last round of public funding given to the element of the search known as Operation Grange by Theresa May in March set to run out in September, is the time to end the search. Enough is enough and in spite that some would suggest that the chances of finding the disappeared child is still there, the fact of the matter is that in ten years of following leads that have led nowhere resources that could have been allocated to other missing people have been squandered.

Last week, a Metropolitan Police spokesman told The Sun:

“A lot of potentially significant images and material were captured on previous trips to Portugal and we are still working on all leads…. The investigation continues with focus and determination. It is not winding down, it is not grinding to a halt. It is on going.”

Such sentiments will no doubt leave such people as Kerry Needham – whose 21-month year old son, Ben, disappeared in Greece on 24^th July 1991 – spitting feathers. As of 2015, a comparative sum of just £700,000 had been spent on attempts to find him and thus one is left asking why the child of two middle class medics is worth 93% more than the son of an ordinary working class woman.

In 2015, Ms Needham, after supporters of the McCanns cruelly suggested those backing her in her search for her child were “toxic”, remarked: “I have never criticised the McCann family. I have only every criticised the authorities for the way the two cases have been handled so differently.”

Why did Mr and Mrs McCann go jogging and play tennis in the days after their daughter’s disappearance?

Was it acceptable for Mr and Mrs McCann’s mortgage to be paid by the fund established to search for their missing daughter?
