Made in chains

by Matthew Steeples

‘Made in Chelsea’ tours and chain stores have taken the place of Led Zeppelin and Sloane Rangers on London’s Kings Road   The Kings Road was famous as the centre of counterculture in the 1960s and 1970s. It subsequently became gentrified in the 1980s and 1990s but now is primarily dominated by the outlets of … Continue reading “Made in chains”

Blind dining

Christian Huhnt takes his first foray into the world of supper clubs   I don’t usually find myself in the east of London. Eventually, though, a “secret” was able to convince me to … Continue reading “Blind dining”

Elliott waves

by Matthew Steeples

A review of Blummyz, Hollywood Road, SW10   Blummyz is certainly a restaurant that has nothing in common with Brinkley’s, its better-known neighbour and home to ageing lotharios and single women of a certain age. The only similarity, apart from their being on the same street, is that neither fall into the grey area when … Continue reading “Elliott waves”
