‘Made in Chelsea’s’ Spencer Matthews tweets a £488,000 bar bill
Whether it was his bill or someone else’s, the vulgarity of the 25 year old Made in Chelsea participant Spencer Matthews tweeting an image of a receipt for £488,706.08 is yet another example of distasteful excess.
Shared in the early hours of Sunday morning along with the caption of “Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit…. @The28Club”, the image of a bill at Morton’s on Berkeley Square rightly attracted much criticism on Twitter. Users described him as “gross” and a “self-centred prick”. They are right. At a time when most people are supporting those whose lives have been affected by the typhoon in the Philippines, as one response suggested, Mr Matthews and his chums could have put this huge amount of money to a far better use. For that reason, we make him our Wally of the Week.
