The ‘Socialist Worker’ owes the family of Horatio Chapple an apology
The Socialist Worker can be relied upon to spout nonsense but in making fun of the death of a 17-year old Eton pupil, they’ve gone too far.
In a column by a nameless writer titled mockingly “Eton by bear? The inquest begins”, the paper states:

“Horatio Chapple, an Eton pupil, was killed by a polar bear in 2011 while on an adventure holiday. The 24-year old polar bear was seriously underweight. It weighed about 250kg rather than the typical 400kg, and had heavily worn teeth which would have caused it pain”.
“The bear was shot dead after it attacked Horatio and others on the trip. An inquest into Horatio’s death began this week. Troublemaker has long supported campaigning for the environment”.
“Now we have another reason to save the polar bears”.
The Socialist Worker should apologise to the family of Horatio Chapple for publishing this offensive article. Sadly, we doubt they will.

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. Free market capitalism allows ordinary people to advance by the virtue of their own enterprise and hard work. The left wing Liberal elite would seek to deny others the advantages they have already enjoyed. The anti-capitalists have their own secret agenda and it is not compassion. The defend characters such as Cyril Smith, because they are all cut from the same cloth.

I agree entirely. The Socialist Worker article is journalism at its lowest. This is just as bad as phone hacking. It’s insensitive, cruel and disgusting.
At least the Socialist Worker doesn’t attack Rolf Harris. Rolf is an innocent man and he needs the support of good and decent people in his quest to clear his name.
