As Rolf Harris loses his Australian honours, Matthew Steeples asks: “Why has this paedophile still got his CBE?”
Rolf Harris has rightly just been stripped of his Officer and Member of the Order of Australia honours but what truly grates is that he still retains his Commander of the British Empire award granted by Buckingham Palace.
In justifying the removal of the Australian honours, a statement from the secretary of the order of Australia read:

After their convictions the likes of Stuart Hall saw their honours immediately rescinded but for some strange reason, Harris has been able to keep his CBE. Guilty of twelve assaults on four young girls, the fact this pervert still has a British honour brings the entire British honours system into disrepute. It is time to strip Rolf Harris of his CBE.

Shame on Her Maj. Strip him of his honours and send him to The Tower. Where is his painting of her by the way? The BBC and Buck Pal both claim not to have it… The mystery thickens………
