    The Deviant Mr Durst

“Nervous” Robert Durst’s latest murder trial moves into second week after President Biden’s wife’s first husband reveals he had an affair with the deviant billionaire’s to-this-day still missing first wife

Last month a “former college football player” turned college bar operator named Bill Stevenson claimed that he slept with Kathie Durst, the missing since January 1982 then wife of the beyond bonkers billionaire Robert Durst, ten days before she vanished into thin air from South Salem, New York. At the time, Stevenson was married to 46th President of the United States Joe Biden’s now wife, Jill.

78-year-old Mr Durst – currently on trial for the murder of the mobster’s daughter Susan Berman in Los Angeles, California in December 2000 and previously acquitted of the murder of his neighbour, Morris Black, in Galveston, Texas in October 2001 in spite of admitting dismembering his body – returns to court today. Last week, this deranged deviant bizarrely admitting to disguising himself in a wig to hide from the “die-hard Trump supporter and Fox News personality,” Westchester County, New York District Attorney Jeanine Pirro in October 2000.

According to the Daily Beast, Durst – whose beyond odd personality was exposed when he tellingly declared: “What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course” in the 2015 six-part HBO series The Jinx – “panicked and flew to Dallas” to hide from Pirro after she announced she was reopening the cold case of his first wife’s disappearance. At the time, Pirro announced: “I have no reason to believe that she isn’t dead and that this wasn’t a homicide.”

Elsewhere late last week, Fox News highlighted Robert Durst shared that he had smoked “lots of marijuana” as well as taken cocaine and methamphetamine before his first wife’s disappearance and claimed he had had a “traumatised childhood” after “witnessing his mother either fall or jump to her death.” KTLA 5, meanwhile, shared footage where he declared: “Talking to the jury makes me nervous.”

As of date, Durst’s second wife, self-professed wannabe “female Harry Helmsley” and real estate executive Debrah Lee Charatan, has yet to get a mention in trial notes, but she surely eventually will. The Daily Mail once noted her as audaciously announcing: “I knew if I couldn’t be a star, I wouldn’t be happy.” She’s frankly instead lucky that she didn’t end up another victim.

    Robert and Kathie Durst wedding
Robert and Kathie Durst on their wedding day with one of their dogs. In total, during their marriage, the couple supposedly had seven dogs. All of them were named Igor and of them, in a “rare interview with the ‘New York Times’ in January 2015, Douglas Durst, the head of the family’s real estate empire, shared that his oddball brother had practiced “killing and disposing his wife” using the dogs. He declared: “Before the disappearance of my sister-in-law, Bob had a series of Alaskan Malamutes, which is like a husky. He had seven of them, and they all died, mysteriously, of different things, within six months of his owning them. All of them named Igor. We don’t know how they died, and what happened to their bodies. In retrospect, I now believe he was practicing killing and disposing his wife with those dogs.”

    Jill Biden Bill Stevenson
Then married couple Bill and Jill Stevenson. Mr Stevenson alleges he had sexual relations with Kathie Durst ten days before she disappeared and claims this might explain her disappearance. Jill Stevenson went on to later marry Joe Biden subsequently.
The suspected serial killer came to wider public attention after ‘The Jinx’ went viral. During filming of the documentary, he declared to camera: “There it is. You’re caught! …. You’re right, of course. But you can’t imagine. … Arrest him … I don’t know what’s in the house … Oh, I want this … What a disaster … He was right. I was wrong. And the burping … I’m having difficulty with the question … What the hell did I do? Killed them all, of course.”
Robert Durst, whom got away with killing Morris Black based on claiming self-defense in spite of dismembering his body, stands accused of killing his friend Susan Berman in the current trial. It is likely he could subsequently face trial for the death of his first wife, Kathie, and he is potentially also linked to the disappearances of Lynne Schulze from Middlebury, Vermont in 1971 and Karen Mitchell from Eureka, California and Kristen Modafferi, who was last seen in San Francisco in 1997.
  • Give Up Ghislaine

    Give Up Ghislaine

After Ghislaine Maxwell has had bail denied FIVE times and last week lost a bid to dismiss sex trafficking indictment, she would do best to give up and seek a plea bargain

Most people, when in a hole, realise the folly of their ways and eventually stop digging, but the grubby alleged sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell is certainly far from most people.

A one-time ‘bestie’ of aristocracy, dynastic tycoons, politicians and royalty, this mucky madam has now failed in all five of her attempts to get bail. This is hardly surprising given she has been deemed a flight risk due to having multi-millions in assets, has been known to use pseudonyms to hide her identity and possesses multiple passports.

Last week, making matters worse and no doubt yet again annoying the US district judge presiding over her case, mucky madam Maxwell attempted and failed to get the case against her dismissed on the basis of the recent overturning of Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction.

Justifying why this was quite rightly kicked out, ABC News reported: “Judge Nathan said Ms Maxwell had not been promised she would not be prosecuted, as the Supreme Court said Mr Cosby had been.”

“The judge also rejected Ms Maxwell’s arguments that prosecutors waited too long to charge her with sex trafficking between 2001 and 2004, saying the US Congress’s 2006 elimination of the statute of limitations applied retroactively.”

“Lawyers for Ms Maxwell said her case was similar because she had been immunised under Epstein’s 2007 non-prosecution agreement with federal prosecutors in Florida, in exchange for pleading guilty to Florida state prostitution charges.”

“Ms Maxwell had testified in a since-settled [for an undisclosed sum] £36 million ($50 million) civil lawsuit against her by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, and the lawyers said it was unfair for prosecutors to use that testimony to build their criminal case.”

“But Judge Nathan said the cases were not the same, and adhered to her April ruling that Epstein’s agreement did not bind the Manhattan prosecutors or cover accused co-conspirators.”

“Mr Cosby’s case ‘focused on whether prosecutors were required to honour a promise the court found to be clear in the absence of a formal plea agreement,’ Judge Nathan wrote.”

“’Even if this court agreed with the analysis in [Mr Cosby’s case], that opinion sheds no light on the proper interpretation of the NPA in this case,’ she added.

Elsewhere, making matters even worse, meddling Maxwell – whom The Mail on Sunday today revealed has sold her Kinnerton Street, Belgravia mews house for £1.75 million ($2.4 million) to a “Hampshire-based property developer” Stuart Robinson with the help of the disgraced solicitor Malcolm Grumbridge – stuck her oar into the pending civil case against Prince Andrew in September.

Offering to give evidence on the royal’s behalf might seem to some as a generous act of continued friendship, but in fact it is of utterly no help at all to the stupidly silent Duke of York. Maxwell, facing trial herself in November is anything but a useful defence asset for him, really should keep her oar out and if she had any sense she’d stop getting the likes of Brian Basham and Jay Beecher from peddling nonsense and focus on saving herself from an 80-year sentence by just seeking a plea bargain. Like father, like daughter, given this stubborn woman’s past performance and arrogance, of course, she won’t.

    Ghislaine Maxwell family
The Maxwell family have enlisted the pompous PR peddler Brian Basham and the extremist publication ‘Politicalite’ contributor Jay Beecher as part of her efforts. Pictured here with her pension plundering, spy father and brother, the family have also focused their efforts on spreading nonsense about the case through their ridiculous RealGhislaine.com website.
    Robert Maxwell on daughter
Pension plundering spy Robert Maxwell tellingly once announced: “I have a beautiful daughter and she’s just like me.” Quoted in Kirby Sommers’ detailed new examination of the mucky madam – ‘Ghislaine Maxwell: An Unauthorized Biography’ – this quote sums up exactly why the ‘Bouncing Czech’ named his gin palace after her and it is exactly why this wicked woman morphed from socialite to the dark side of being a mucky madam for the thankfully now croaked paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The ‘bathtub bonk pad’ formerly owned by Ghislaine Maxwell – 66 Kinnerton Street, Belgravia, London, SW1X 8ES – has been sold, with the assistance of shamed ex-solicitor Malcolm Grumbridge, to financier and property developer Stuart Alec Robinson of Belmore House, Belmore Park, Belmore Lane, Upham, Hampshire, S032 1HQ.

  • Socialite Sociopath Sent Down

    Socialite Sociopath Sent Down

Matthew Steeples joins those condemning toothy tealeaf and “socialite sociopath” Angela Gulbenkian’s short sentence for art fraud

Toothy tealeaf Angela Gulbenkian was shockingly sentenced to just three years, six months in prison on Friday.

“Credited,” according to Artnet, with having served two years already after being detained on a European arrest warrant for her in excess of £1 million crime, this 39-year-old “sociopath socialite” will now likely remarkably serve less than half that time.

Before sending her down at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, Judge David Tomlinson observed: “Both counts on the indictment involve, in comparative terms, thefts of very large sums of money. Running through all of this criminality was a sustained obfuscation on your part. When AIL and Ms. Ball separately tried to get you to deliver on your promise, your treatment of them prolonged the distress.”

Speaking to The Steeple Times later, Jane Morris of Percy Bass – whose firm remains unpaid by the deservedly now in-the-clink art dealer – remarked of Gulbenkian’s surprisingly short sentence:

“It seems a very short sentence given her antics have affected a lot of peoples’ lives. I cannot believe it and is in her nature to do it again. They do not take art fraud seriously enough in this country and the courts should have been far less lenient towards her.”

Going further, in a comment to Artnet’s Taylor Defoe by email, Christopher Marinello, the lawyer for Gulbenkian’s most significant financially victim, added:

“In my view, this sends the wrong message to the post-Brexit London art market. It says to me that fraudsters are welcome in London to ply their trade, to spend and hide their ill-gotten gains on property and luxury goods, as long as the [Revenue and Customs department] gets their share.”

Mr Marinello and Mrs Morris are both quite right. The sentence given is appallingly lacking and today we join those calling for this wicked wastrel woman to be given extra time.

    Toothy tealeaf Angela Gulbenkian
Angela Gulbenkian – who traded on her links to the famous family into which she married – should have received a far harsher sentence. ‘Awful Ange’ (as one former friend nicknamed this conniving thief) deserves to rot given her victims have recouped little to nothing of what she spent indulging herself with a £218,000 shopping bill, £121,000 on travel, a £25,000 Rolex watch and £56,000 on art amongst other things.
At sentencing, Judge David Tomlinson repeatedly remarked on the “distress” caused by the German socialite to her victims. Whilst her defence had highlighted how she had lost her previously “lavish lifestyle” when her husband had stopped working for his family’s business, the Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Laura Hoon responded: “[She] used her status and powerful connections in the art dealing world to portray an air of legitimacy while carrying out her criminal activities. She stole thousands and concocted a web of lies for months on end.”
  • Yo-Yo-ing YouTube & Mucky Madam Maxwell

Yo-Yo-ing YouTube & Mucky Madam Maxwell

After reinstating ‘Shaun Attwood’s True Crime Channel’ yesterday, in yo-yo-like fashion it has now been taken down again; are mucky madam Ghislaine Maxwell’s PR peddlers targeting his work?

Yesterday, YouTube did the right thing and reinstated crusading crime commentator Shaun Attwood to their channel.

Today, they reversed their decision after a concerted campaign by his critics and once again, this morning, the Shaun Attwood True Crime Channel has been “terminated for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines.”

In a missive to Attwood, seen by The Steeple Times today, YouTube ridiculously justified their actions by stating:

“We have reviewed your content and found severe or repeated violations of our Community Guidelines. Because of this, we have removed your channel from YouTube.”

“We know that this is probably very upsetting news, but it’s our job to make sure that YouTube is a safe place for all. If we think that a channel severely violates our policies, we take it down to protect other users on the platform – but if you believe that we’ve made the wrong call, you can appeal this decision. You’ll find more information about the policy in question and how to submit an appeal below.”

Commenting this morning on Twitter, Ash Meikle, guest booker and lead researcher for Shaun Attwood’s True Crime Channel remarked of Twitter’s approach:

“Your inconsistencies, lack of clarity and general poor guidance for content creators needs revisiting. How can you reinstate a channel one day and remove it the next without explanation after apologising and saying it was a mistake? Complete overhaul of policies needed.”

Shaun Attwood is a good ‘citizen’ of YouTube and a respected educator about the perils and pitfalls of criminality. Proof of that is provided in the fact that ‘TedX Talks’ – which has 32 million subscribers – invited him to give a TEDx talk in January 2017. A video of that has been viewed 1.8 million times on YouTube and liked 39,000 times also. On that basis alone, YouTube should realise the error of their decision and reinstate this campaigner’s channel once again.

Responding directly to YouTube with yet another appeal, Attwood himself added:

“Yesterday, my terminated channel was ruled in compliance and reinstated due to a successful appeal. Today it has gone again for the same reasons. Here’s the appeal:”

“The violations revolve around news/educational coverage of high-profile sex-abuse cases documented in the media, e.g. Epstein. Your guidelines provide an exception for debating ‘high profile officials or leaders: Content featuring debates or discussions of topical issues concerning individuals who have positions of power…’”

“After the 1st strike, I requested guidance from YouTube. None came. I visited Google HQ in London, only to be told to contact support. As a precautionary measure, I deleted 40% of my channel, almost 60 million views. I completely stopped covering the Epstein case, with no intention to resume. I educated my team on cyberbullying and interviewed a cyberbullying activist.”

“It goes against the spirit of YouTube to bombard a good citizen of 13 years with multiple strikes on old deleted videos.”

Clearly, as the mucky madam Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial for the enticement of minors and sex trafficking of underage girls for her on-off paedophile lover Jeffrey Epstein approaches, her PR team are upping their efforts to silence those speaking out against her. Today, we ask: “Are Miss Maxwell’s well-connected supporters – whom number the pompous PR peddler Brian Basham and the potty political prattler Jay Beecher – attempting to put a stop to those covering her case?”

Today also, we urge readers to support Shaun Attwood in his efforts to permanently get his YouTube channel back by tweeting @TeamYouTube. Please ask them to explain why they have once again terminated Shaun Attwood’s True Crime Channel and please ask them to reinstate it.

    Shaun Attwood
Shaun Attwood is someone who has turned his life around and after serving his sentence in America has spent time educating others about why crime ultimately doesn’t pay. His YouTube channel is informative and its removal yet again illustrates that this social media giant isn’t policing its users in a fair or correct way. Attwood does not merit de-platforming; he should instead be promoted.
  • Attwood’s Unsilenced

    Attwood’s Unsilenced

In spite of efforts to stop his crusades against crime, Shaun Attwood has been quite rightly reinstated on YouTube today; he is now unsilenced and free to broadcast again

Whilst the thorn in the sides of the poisonous pair that are Omid Scobie and ‘MeGain,’ Duchess of Sussex that is ‘Yankee Wally’ quite wrongly remains banned from Twitter, this morning YouTube did the right thing in reinstating the crusading campaigner Shaun Attwood’s ‘True Crime Channel’ after taking it offline earlier this week.

Subscribed to by an astonishing 667,000 individuals and featuring everything from interviews with eccentric author and tellybox tattler Lady Colin Campbell to female armed robber Linda ‘The Black Widow’ Calvey, Attwood’s channel was temporarily censored this week on the completely false basis that it supposedly promoted cyberbullying.

Yet again illustrating that social media channels – including not only YouTube but also Facebook and Twitter especially – act irrationally over account management, the thankfully temporary closure of this widely respected channel illustrates the problem of the vast size of these organisations. With millions to ‘police,’ the result is that the likes of YouTube are unable to differentiate between genuine abuse of their platform and targeted campaigns to ‘take down’ particular individuals.

Cited amongst the cases that caused the “day of many strikes” closure was an interview with The Lost Boys star turned activist against child abuse Corey Feldman and also videos about Jeffrey Epstein and his wicked associates – including one featuring both the Ghislaine Maxwell: An Unauthorized Biography author Kirby Sommers and this publication’s very own co-founder, Matthew Steeples.

Now, however, quite rightly, the censorship of this informative channel has been stopped; Shaun Attwood is back and we look forward to yet more excellent content from this wise and witty gentleman.

Join Shaun Attwood’s 667,000 subscribers on YouTube by clicking here. Follow him on Twitter at @shaunattwood.

    Shaun Attwood tweet about YouTube
The Widnes born author and activist took to Twitter on Saturday morning to announce his YouTube channel had quite rightly been reinstated after the social media giant reviewed his account. In a message to him, the firm stated: “After taking another look, we can confirm that [‘Shaun Attwood’s True Crime’ account] is not in violation of our Terms of Service. We have lifted the suspension of your account and it is once again active and operational… We’re sorry for any inconvenience or frustration this has caused.”
Recent interviewees on the channel have included the author Steve Wraith – whose books about his encounters with criminals were discussed in a 4 hour, 36 minute one-on-one that has been viewed over 15,700 times.
An especially fascinating interview on the channel premiered on YouTube on 20th May May this year. Viewed over 26,800 to date, the episode featured Linda ‘The Black Widow’ Calvey discussing her debut crime novel, ‘The Locksmith.’ Described as “the true crime book of the year,” Calvey’s novel is listed as: “If you think you know everything about the East End’s toughest gangsters, think again. Meet Linda Calvey, aka the Black Widow. Growing up after the war in the East End of London, Linda falls in with local gangsters including the Krays, Freddie Foreman and Ronnie Cook. When the love of her life, Mickey Calvey, is gunned down on a job gone wrong, Linda resolves to carry on his work. But in 1990, after years of living in fear of her lover Ronnie Cook, Linda finds herself accused of his murder alongside Danny Reece, in a trial that shocks the nation. Still, Linda sticks to her code of honour, refusing to confess. Until now… After 18 years behind bars alongside notorious names including Rose West and Myra Hindley, she is released. This is the final truth about her life and what happened the day Ronnie Cook was murdered.”

Matthew Steeples, editor-in-chief of ‘The Steeple Times,’ has appeared on the channel on a number of occasions recently to discuss true crimes cases including that of Jeremy Bamber, Max Clifford, Luke Durbin, Rolf Harris, Stuart Lubbock, Madeleine McCann and Ghislaine Maxwell amongst others.

A 2-hour, 14-minute interview with Matthew Steeples on the channel has been viewed over 138,900 times since it was uploaded on 8th May this year. With 5,500 likes and over 940 comments on this one video alone, here is a YouTube channel that should be promoted and not censored.
  • The Priti Awful Controller

    The Priti Awful Controller

Nikolay Kalinin on ‘Priti Awful’ Patel trying to silence journalism through changes to the Official Secrets Act

Accountability is one of the pillars of our democracy and it is how we attempt to ensure that MPs work for no one other than for their constituents. If they do something wrong, the system is meant to hold them accountable through scrutiny, and if necessary, recall petitions and by-elections.

It seems, however, that after months of being held accountable by the public and the British press for their abhorrent behaviour during the pandemic, the government has decided that the best course of action is to now ban journalists from writing stories that “embarrass the government.”

This course of action is the brainchild of the ultimate neighbour from hell ‘Priti Awful’ Patel. She has decided to amend the 1989 Official Secrets Act by making it illegal for journalists to handle leaked documents, in an attempt to combat “foreign agents.” To me, this sounds sinisterly similar to a similar Russian law that has attempted to clamp down on the opposition.

Under this law, things such as the leaked Matt Hancock video, as well as Dominic Cummings’ texts revealing how the latter and Boris mishandled the pandemic, would be seen as illegal in the hands of journalists and could result in them facing maximum 14 years in prison.

So, let’s just recap: the British taxpayer is paying for a government that wants to limit the ability of journalists and the public to hold it to account. I would suggest that sounds a lot like what tyrants do.

The Home Office has denied that the change will suppress journalists exposing the government’s incompetence. In response to criticism, they stated: “It is wrong to claim the proposals will put journalists at risk of being treated like spies and they will, rightly, remain free to hold the government to account” and added “this will be balanced to protect press freedom and the ability for whistleblowers to hold organisations to account”.

At the same time however, the Home Office has denied providing ‘public interest defence’ to journalists at the recommendation of human rights organisations, stating that such proposals “undermine our efforts to prevent damaging unauthorised disclosures, which would not be in the public interest.”

Not only does the government want to crack down on protesters bringing the people in it to account, but also it wants to crack down on journalists who have an important role in spreading the truth about the government’s actions through the media.

I think this is the part where most of us get up and say: “Let’s take back control.” We are tired of the Conservatives treating the public that elected them like livestock. It’s time they realise that we have the power to push them off their throne – because this is how proper democracy works.

    Priti Patel - Priti Awful
Elsewhere this morning, the ‘Guardian’ reported that the Police Federation of England and Wales had issued a “scathing announcement” that suggested the Home Secretary “could not be trusted.” Going further of ‘Priti Awful,’ they added: “As the undisputed voice of policing we say this to the home secretary: you cannot pat our members on the back for their heroic efforts with one hand, while effectively taking their pay with the other… Warm words are no longer enough.”
‘Priti Awful’ Patel’s proposed changes to legislation would result in journalists handling leaked documents not having a defence if charged. They would effectively result in them being “treated like foreign spies.” Human rights groups have suggested in response that there should be a “public interest defence” that would prevent the prosecution of journalists who receive leaked documents.
  • Keep Pitchfork in Prison

    Keep Pitchfork in Prison

Nikolay Kalinin slams Priti Patel and the Parole Board for allowing double child killer and rapist Colin Pitchfork to go free to potentially kill again

“I want criminals to feel terror” – This is what Priti Patel said in her first interview after becoming Home Secretary. It seems however that this policy does not apply to all criminals, because it has been announced that the monstrous child killer Colin Pitchfork is set to be released from prison.

If you don’t know who Pitchfork – who now calls himself David Thorpe – is, he was the first person to be convicted of murder on the basis of DNA, after raping and murdering two 15-year-olds in Leicestershire. Now, having served 33 years in prison, he is on the verge of becoming a free man.

    Colin Pitchfork wedding day
The double child killer and rapist on his wedding day in 1981. In April 2009, a sculpture created by him depicting a choir and orchestra was exhibited at the Royal Festival Hall after having been purchased by them for £600. After much public and media outrage, it was subsequently removed from display.
    Colin Pitchfork victims
“Moody” Pitchfork was married with two sons and aged 22 at the time of the first murder. Before his marriage, he had been convicted of indecent exposure. His victims were both aged 15 and named Lynda Mann (raped and strangled on the 21st November 1983) and Dawn Ashworth (beaten, savagely raped and strangled on the 31st July 1986).

The Parole Board announced back in June that it was considering releasing Pitchfork, and despite former Justice Secretary Robert Buckland asking the board to reconsider the decision and calling it “irrational,” the board has stated that because Pitchfork’s behaviour had been “positive and had included extensive efforts to help others,” he shall be released.

The families of the victims have rightfully condemned the board’s decision, with one of the girl’s uncles stating that the decision is “an affront to natural justice.” He further stated: “There are some crimes so horrendous that a reprieve is not appropriate”.

A spokesperson from the Ministry of Justice also expressed disappointment with the outcome. They sent condolences to the families of the victims and added that the government will change the law “so that child murderers such as Pitchfork face life in prison without the possibility of parole as the default sentence.”

Under the Criminal Justice Act 2003, people who commit child abduction and murder for sadistic/sexual purposes will face life imprisonment.

I stand with the families of the victims and I agree that this monstrous man should stay in prison for life. It doesn’t matter if he was a good prisoner, because one can never undo the rape and murder of two innocent girls and the damage that this has inflicted on their families.

By releasing this inhuman swine, the Parole Board is demonstrating very little decency towards justice and towards the families. Pitchfork should stay in prison for life because that is the only way we can stop such deviants such as him from again doing harm to innocent families. Period.

Pictured top: A recent image of the child killer Colin Pitchfork on day release from prison. ‘The Sun’ recently reported he “has already been freed to roam the streets during un-monitored days out to look for a job and home” whilst in 2017, the paper reported “he was seen eating a pulled pork sandwich and giggled as he pored over ‘Great British Bake Off’ books.”

An initial suspect, a 17-year-old with learning difficulties named Richard Buckland, was eventually cleared of the crimes. Of this Alec Jeffreys, a genetics researcher at the University of Leicester who developed DNA profiling along with two others, remarked: “I have no doubt whatsoever that he [Buckland] would have been found guilty had it not been for DNA evidence. That was a remarkable occurrence.”
Pitchfork was caught after 5,500 local men were asked to volunteer blood or saliva samples. This took six months and whilst the double child killer and rapist got someone else to take the blood test for him, that individual bragged about in a pub and was overheard by a woman who reported what she had heard to the police.
