    No Excuses Dick – Shame On Those Trying To Suggest Dame Cressida Dick As Little Miss Innocent

    Ghislaine Maxwell’s schoolmate Dame Cressida Dick’s bleating about her deserved demise should be called out as the disgrace that it truly is; with her turfed out with the trash it is now time for institutional change at the Met Police; no excuses should be accepted

    “She felt intimidated by the Mayor of London” before her resignation claimed some blithering bore of Dame Cressida Dick DBE, QPM on Radio 4’s ‘PM’ last night in spite of the fact that all this useless woman achieved between 2017 and 2022 as Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis.

     

    Born in 1960, just like her Oxford school and university mate Ghislaine Maxwell – both were taught by Dame Cressida’s father Marcus Dick, a senior tutor at Balliol College – the now deservedly binned former Metropolitan Police chief’s bleatings should be treated with the contempt they well and truly deserved given she presided over and did nothing about racism and misogyny.

     

    Responding this morning on Radio 4’s ‘Today’ programme Leroy Logan MBE, a founding member in 1994 and longtime chair of the Black Police Association, quite rightly slammed Dame Cressida’s tenur and added:

     

    “[It is time for the Met Police to adopt a] culture that embraces a more positive culture of embracing whistleblowers… It is time for them to go against the ‘don’t grass on your colleagues’ culture.”

     

    “They have been marking their own homework during the tenure of this last government… They have to acknowledge that they got things wrong.”

     

    Whilst protocol was completely ignored during Dame Cressida’s tenure and public trust in law enforcement in London was very badly damaged as result, it is now time for better vetting of officers. It is also time that the Metropolitan Police spoke the truth to the powerful politicians who’ve had overly too much influence over it for far too long and with “bye, bye Boris” (and “good riddance” also) being sung in the streets on Monday, it is time for a new era of honesty and transparency.

    The Met’s Catalogue of Failures – Shame on Them

    There is unsurprisingly currently zero public confidence in the frankly incompetent Metropolitan Police and of it one Twitter user, June Sim, rightly stated in January 2022: “The Met has always been a byword amongst regional forces. We used to joke if you were rejected, they’ll take anybody. Not helped by the reputation confirmed by the Daniel Morgan report. Reputation already tarnished.”

     

    Amongst the many failings of what ought to be the nation’s premier police force – aside from multiple allegations of racism and racial bias against its officers, its failure to deal with spiralling teenage murders and the many allegations of corruption and incompetence levelled at it – are:

     

    • 1987 – Botched investigation into the murder of Daniel Morgan.
    • 1993 – Botched investigation into the murder of Stephen Lawrence.
    • 1994 – Botched investigation into allegations that Ghislaine Maxwell operated a brothel in South Kensington.
    • 2009 – Unlawful killing of Ian Tomlinson during his arrest by Met Police officers.
    • 2005 – Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes by Met Police officers on the orders of Cressida Dick.
    • 2013 – Strip searching of Dr Koshka Duff during her arrest for intervening during a Met Police stop-and-search of a black teenager.
    • 2014 – Bungled investigation into allegations of historic child abuse made by Carl Beech.
    • 2014 to 2015 – Failure to stop Stephen Port committing subsequent serial killings in spite of his already being linked to the death of a man outside his home.
    • 2019 – Farcical mismanagement of policing of Extinction Rebellion protests leading to a bill of £37 million in policing costs.
    • 2020 – Misconduct of Met Police officers during their investigation into the murders of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman.
    • 2020 – Found to be 2.17 times as likely to issue fines to black people relative to the rest of the population during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns.
    • 2021 – Misconduct of Met Police officers during their investigation into the disappearance of Richard Okorogheye.
    • 2021 – Met Police officer Ben Hannam found to be a member of a banned terrorist group.
    • 2021 – Shocking conduct of Met Police officers after the murder of Sarah Everard by one of their own colleagues.
    • 2022 – Apparent collaboration with Boris Johnson and his government to delay report into ‘Partygate.’
    • 2022 – Decision of Met Police to not bother continuing their investigation into the London activities of the croaked paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

     

    Disgrace
    Former Metropolitan Police chief Dame Cressida Dick DBE, QPM (pictured with two other incompetent horrors, Priti Patel and Boris Johnson) quite understandably came under fire over crises under her watch that numbered the disgraceful shooting and killing of an innocent man, Jean Charles de Menezes. She was also slammed over the Met’s use of stop and search tactics, the handlings of recommendations made after the botched Operation Midland, the arrests of attendees at a candlelight vigil for murdered-by-a-serving-Met-officer Sarah Everard and complaints by the Daniel Morgan Independent Panel that she obstructed their inquiry into police corruption. Is it any surprise that by the end the public had no faith in her?

    ‘Headmaster Harvey’s’ Back – Kinky Harvey Proctor Gets Job Back

    As the former “kinky MP” ‘Headmaster Harvey’ Proctor gets his job back with the Duke of Rutland, we remind readers of his history supporting apartheid, caning young men “for being naughty” and connections to mucky madam Ghislaine Maxwell

    This morning, the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden reported that Harvey Proctor – a cry baby former politician known as a “kinky MP” and convicted of gross indecency with a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man in May 1987 – has returned to “his former glory” and got his job and grace-and-favour home back.

     

    Once again employed as a private secretary by the 11th Duke of Rutland, one-time far-right Monday Club member Harvey Proctor – who was falsely accused by a subsequently exposed fantasist named Carl Beech – crowed to the paper: “I’m back in my old house, which is a beautiful house in the Vale of Belvoir… I don’t honestly think I have a feeling or a need of vindication. Others have proved what happened in 2015 was just a nonsense and I’ve managed to live through it and come out the other side.” Disgusted readers, without doubt, asked those sitting opposite them at their breakfast tables to pass the sick bucket.

     

    Eden reported that ‘Headmaster Harvey’ had appeared on a 2-hour-2-minute LBC podcast hosted by Iain Dale last week. Of it, themselves LBC surmised: “Iain Dale talks to former Conservative MP Harvey Proctor about his life and career. They discuss his eight years in parliament which ended in 1987 and spend the second half of the podcast discussing the allegations made against him by Operation Midland and the years it has taken to clear his name. It’s at times a difficult listen, with some tears along the way.”

     

    Self-satisfied Proctor – who also took to Twitter last week to disgustingly claim: “When I was an MP I called for voluntary repatriation and was labelled a racist… We should have controlled immigration in the 1950s and 1960s but because politicians didn’t they should have stopped immigration in the 1970s and 1980s. Had my suggestions to stop immigration in the 1970s and 1980s been adopted we could be more generous with refugees now” – it must be remembered featured in an August 2019 article in The Steeple Times about how he had once been linked to the now convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell.

     

    The feature, titled “With friends like these…” read:

     

    “Ghislaine Maxwell’s relationships with sexual deviants were not limited to just Jeffrey Epstein; she was previously linked to former MP Harvey ‘Whacko’ Proctor.”

     

    “It turns out that the former MP and convicted criminal Harvey Proctor – found guilty of gross indecency with teenagers in 1986 – is linked to Ghislaine Maxwell via his former employer, the current Duke of Rutland.”

     

    “On 26th October 1986, The People – then owned by the pension pot robber Robert Maxwell – ran a front page spread about how someone had tried to “blackmail” them and their proprietor if they ‘continued with [their] ‘campaign’ against the kinky MP [Harvey Proctor].’ They claimed a caller had alleged they ‘would reveal compromising details of an alleged relationship between Mr Maxwell’s daughter Ghislaine and the son of a Duke… at Belvoir Castle with incriminating pictures of them in compromising positions.’”

     

    “In the article, the alleged sex game and rentboy lover Harvey Proctor is quoted and tellingly bleated:’“I know nothing about it at all. I would describe this kind of threat as absolutely disgraceful. I have no idea who would do anything like that. It has nothing to do with me. I have nothing more to say.’”

     

    “The People had previously run an article about the then Tory politician that had suggested he ‘was not fit to remain an MP.’ It concluded: ‘In the words of Oliver Cromwell: ‘IN THE NAME OF GOD, GO!’ The same now could perhaps be said of the murky missing madam of the moment Ghislaine Maxwell.”

     

    Whilst Mr Proctor, like all convicted of crimes, has a right to move on having paid a fine for such, that he continues to so arrogantly bang on shows only one thing and that he is a clearly awful and utterly objectionable, attention seeking bully boy. Next!

     

    Proctor was a key figure in the Conservative Monday Club. He produced an article for its pamphlet, ‘Monday World,’ calling for the scrapping of the Commission for Racial Equality in October 1982 and was shockingly a member of the apartheid supporting club’s committee whilst Member of Parliament for Basildon.
    On Twitter on 16th June, ‘Dame Alun Roberts’ remarked: “Robert Maxwell had a collection of whips that would have made Harvey Proctor red with envy” and quoted Eleanor Berry’s references to Ghislaine Maxwell supposedly being abused by her pension pot plundering papa.

    The “spanking scandal” made front page news on 26th October 1986 in ‘The People’ with then proprietor Robert Maxwell claiming: “Publisher told ‘Gag The People.’” And “Blackmail: Maxwell threatened over spanking MP.”
    In April this year, the ex-MP appeared on the GB News channel’s ‘Talking Pints’ with Patrick Christys to bang on about his experiences. He whined and whined and stated: “Quite horrendous. If anyone hasn’t faced that sort of pressure, continuous pressure, it is horrendous.” Instead of following the show’s title and necking beer, Proctor and his interviewer curiously swooshed down glasses of wine.
    In 1988, Mr Proctor joined guests including Christine Keeler on the legendary show ‘After Dark’ to confront a reporter who had written about his links to rent boys, Annette Witheridge. She unsurprisingly made rather a prat of this brazen, bombastic bore.

    The BBC, MailOnline and The Times ought to explain why they don’t want to discuss Carrie Johnson and alleged corruption at the heart of government; that the PM thought he could get the state to pay his now wife £100,000 per annum is an outrage and the cover-up over it should be called out as such

    BBC News presenter Joanna Gosling was understandably slammed yesterday when she tried to “shut down” journalist Rachel Shabi when she raised a perfectly valid point about The Times removing an article about Carrie Johnson and a £100,000 government job she thankfully didn’t get.

     

    Now trending on Twitter as #CarrieGate, Shabi remarked of the latest scandal to hit the anything-but-morally-minded Johnson clan:

     

    “Boris Johnson [is] using this as a distraction… By the way, since we’re looking at The Sunday Times, it is worth saying that The Times still hasn’t explained why it ‘disappeared’ the story yesterday about Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary.”

     

    “He wanted to appoint his future wife, Carrie Symonds, to Chief of Staff. A £100,000 position and was dissuaded. Er, but that tells us something about his, you, you know…”

     

    In spite of then being interrupted by Gosling, who inappropriately interjected to say “let’s just talk about what’s going on in the UK,” Shabi continued:

     

    “I’m happy to do that, but just wanted to say that we are talking about The Times and we’re talking about foreign affairs… He still has to answer that question though.”

     

    Examined further by The Guardian’s Rowena Mason and Jim Waterson and described as being “at first glance… the political scoop of the weekend,” that The Times story by “veteran lobby journalist” Simon Walters was “withdrawn, without explanation or clarification” is indeed both curious and telling. The same article was later rewritten by the MailOnline – and that also was deleted “without explanation or an editor’s note.”

     

    Of it, an as usual unnamed “No. 10 source” suggested it was “untrue” and “sexist” and added: “This is a grubby, discredited story turned down by most reputable media outlets because it isn’t true. The facts speak for themselves.”

     

    Responding, Walters told The Guardian: “I stand by the story. I went to all the relevant people over two days. Nobody offered me an on-the-record denial and Downing Street didn’t deny it off the record either.”

     

    On Twitter, Tony Blair’s former director of communications Alastair Campbell best summed up this cover-up. He remarked: “[This is] further evidence that much of our media is essentially an extension of the press office of a liar and a crook… If a Labour PM had tried to appoint a mistress to a top job, virtually every paper would lead on it… [Jennifer] Arcuri all over again.”

    ‘The Times’ unsurprisingly filled the space where the clearly contentious original story (left_ had originally run with a PR plug (right) for the bigoted “neighbour from hell” and nastiest Home Secretary in history Priti Patel. It referenced this nasty piece of toerag ludicrously yet predictably claiming “European judges who stopped deportations are racist.”
    The parody account @Parody_PM mocked the Prime Minister over this latest scandal and observed: “Just because I shagged Jennifer Arcuri behind my wife’s back and gave her £100k of public money, that’s no reason to believe that I tried to give Carrie a £100k/year job while I was shagging her behind my wife’s back.”
    The puppet mistress and latest baby mama of the Prime Minister formerly known as Carrie Symonds is known only as qualified for giving boozy bashes in Downing Street illegally during lockdowns with the mates she nicknames “the gays.” ABBA is more her, Josh Grimstone and Henry Newman’s forte than actual policy matters. It is a disgrace that it was even considered to appoint her to an office of state.

    Hero of the Hour – Haider Malik

    Unemployed graduate Haider Malik’s decision to seek work by standing with a pop-up-stall outside Canary Wharf tube station paid off with a top job offer

    In a move that echoes the story of 22-year-old Mohamed Elbarkey, a Libyan refugee who took enterprising actions to find work and whose story we featured in August 2018, the MailOnline today reported on the similar story of an equally inventive 24-year-old named Haider Malik.

     

    Unable to find a job since graduating with a first-class degree in banking and finance from the Middlesex University London because of the impact of the COVID-19, Mr Malik decided to set-up a pop-up stand in Canary Wharf earlier this month.

     

    Stood with his CVs and a billboard with QR codes announcing where interested parties could download his details from 6.45am on a Tuesday morning, Mr Malik “took a chance and within days had secured a job offer.”

    In August 2018, ‘The Steeple Times’ featured the story of Mohamed Elbarkey, a young man who came to Britain as a refugee from Libya, graduated in rocket science from UCL and then got a job by standing outside Canary Wharf tube station with a sign pleading for work. At the time of his reasoning for doing such, he commented: “I found this young man, David, he did the same stunt in Silicon Valley. He wanted a job in technology and what better place. I found that he had over 200 job offers and I thought I only need one. Why don’t I try and see if my story resonates with these executives at these large financial firms and see if they wanted to take me under their wing, even offer me an internship and a job or genuinely just some advice.”

    Haider Malik’s enterprising actions resulted in him being rewarded with his “dream job” at the Canary Wharf Group.

    Of his strategy, the Seven Kings, Ilford based youngster announced:

    “The first five minutes or 10 minutes I felt nervous because I was standing there empty-handed. I found it really awkward. I didn’t know what I was doing, I found it really weird.”

    “I had all my CVs in my bag. I was standing there empty-handed trying to look at people and hoping to meet people rather than being proactive and speaking to them.”

    “I held my CV in my hand and I was just saying good morning to people, just trying to engage people in a conversation. A lot of people gave me their cards, they gave me their phone numbers, and started talking to me.”

    “There was one person called Emmanuel who actually posted a picture of me online. He actually came up to me, he put his hand out and said: “I wish you well.’”

    “He said he wanted to do something similar two years ago but he didn’t have the courage to do it. He was happy that I put myself forward to do it and that he wanted to share a picture of me on LinkedIn.”

    Going further of what happened next after being contacted by the Canary Wharf Group, Mr Malik added:

    “I got a text message from the director of the department at about 9.30am saying: ‘Come in for an interview at 10.30am.’ I had my car in the car park, so I took the board and took all my stuff. I was like: ‘Wow, this is crazy.’”

    “They interviewed me on the 30th floor of a building and I’m overlooking Canary Wharf thinking: ‘Wow, I never expected to be interviewed here let alone potentially about to get a job.’”

    “That same day my life changed because when I got back in the car to go home after my interview, I checked my phone and I had about 10 missed calls from loads of different numbers.”

    “I didn’t know that the LinkedIn post went viral straight away and my number was on my CV so people were scanning it and calling me. For the first three days my phone was non-stop ringing, it never stopped ringing and LinkedIn was really busy.”

    “It was going crazy and I had to have my family help me to respond to DMs and get in contact with people.”

    “It was really cool the way it happened – I took a chance. The first interview was the same day, which was a Tuesday morning, and then I got a second interview on Friday. And then by Friday evening they were happy with me and I accepted the role.”

    Today, we join those saluting Haider Malik and urge others in a similar position to follow both his and Mohamed Elbarkey’s lead.

    Tough Over Toff – Paul Dacre’s Back With A Bang

    ‘Daily Mail’ returns to “tough over toff” in ousting Geordie Greig and bringing back “daily hater’s” favourite’s bruiser Paul Dacre

    The ongoing power play at the Daily Mail’s parent company took another Succession-like twist yesterday with the return – after just a few weeks away from the company – of Paul Dacre as editor-in-chief of DMG Media, the trust’s media arm.

     

    Coming just days after “toff over tough” Geordie Greig’s ousting as editor of the Daily Mail, “tough over toff” Dacre’s reappointment will no doubt annoy the likes of Polly Toynbee, a woman whom once described him as a “bully” who “targets underdogs, imposing on the country racism, homophobia and philistinism, and shunning complexity and evidence.”

     

    “Highly influentially politically” Dacre – a man with a house in Belgravia, a Sussex cattle farm, a house in the British Virgin Islands and a vast 17,000 Scottish estate – had previously sought to become chair of Ofcom, but was firmly rejected as “not acceptable.”

     

    In a letter to The Times, of the interview process orchestrated at Ofcom, Dacre declared it was an ““infelicitous dalliance with the blob” and added:

     

    “To anyone from the private sector, who, God forbid, has convictions, and is thinking of applying for a public appointment, I say the following: the civil service will control (and leak) everything; the process could take a year in which your life will be put on hold; and if you are possessed of an independent mind and are unassociated with the liberal/left, you will have more chance of winning the lottery than getting the job.”

     

    Of Dacre’s reappointment in an email to staff, DMGT chairman Lord Rothermere commented:

     

    “I am delighted to announce that Paul Dacre, who has a huge and distinguished history with this company, is being appointed editor-in-chief of DMG media.”

     

    “Although he will not be involved in day-to-day editing, he will be taking an active role advising me and the editors.”

     

    Going further, DMG publisher Martin Clarke added:

     

    “Nobody has done more to make the Mail titles what they are today than Paul Dacre and I am honoured to be working with him.”

     

    “His journalistic courage and judgment are beyond equal and editors and executives the length of Fleet Street can testify personally to how much they owe to his encouragement and counsel. DMG Media is extremely lucky to be able to draw on such a legendary talent.”

     

    Now, as Lord Rothermere also moves to end DMGT’s 90 years as a listed company and seeks to retain the Daily Mail’s position as Britain’s biggest-selling newspaper, the return of “old bruiser” Paul Dacre marks one thing: “Geordie Greig’s nicer school of journalism” is about to be chucked out with the bathwater.

    Geordie Greig was ousted from the ‘Daily Mail’ just days after his mate, the alleged mucky madam Ghislaine Maxwell, gave an “exclusive” to its sister paper ‘The Mail on Sunday’ about her life awaiting trial for sex trafficking and the enticement of minors.

    Responding to critics, Dacre once remarked of “an unpleasant intellectual snobbery about the ‘Mail’ in leftish circles, for whom the word ‘suburban’ is an obscenity. They simply cannot comprehend how a paper that opposes the mindset they hold dear can be so successful and so loved by its millions of readers. Well, I’m proud that the ‘Mail’ stands up for those readers.” Previously he was most famous for headlines including: “Enemies Of The People” and “Crush The Saboteurs.”
    In June 2018, Peter Oborne described Dacre as “one of the great., popular journalists, one of the great, popular editors.” He added: “He’s been one of the greatest editors of all time.” Of him, Lord Adonis countered: “He’s a [person] who feeds phobias.”
