Hero of the Hour – George Soros

Billionaire George Soros speaks sense on Brexit and puts his money where his mouth is; others with resources should follow his lead

Man of substance George Soros broke the Bank of England and now he looks set to break Brexit.

Whilst many would argue his first action to be a bad thing, what he now seeks to achieve would be brilliant for Britain (if indeed he and others pull it off). As Theresa May’s car crash of a government plod on with negotiations with the EU in a cackhanded fashion, today, Soros penned an article for the Mail on Sunday and announced:

I consider Brexit a tragic mistake… Brexit is a lose-lose proposition… [It has] split British politics between young and old. Even though I am 87, I think a lot about young people who will live in a future I will never see. People under 35 voted overwhelmingly Remain and it was only over 55 that a majority of voters supported Brexit.”

“Old voters have overruled young voters who will have to live with the consequences of Brexit for decades ahead. This is aggravating the disillusionment with democracy among young people. It also raises the prospect that Britain will eventually want to rejoin the EU.”

“The doors of Europe may be open in the future, but if Britain leaves now it will never be able to rejoin the EU on the same favourable terms.”

“I am a proud supporter of Best For Britain, a group that wants Britain to remain a member of the European Union… Best For Britain seeks to break the logjam by bringing together all the various forces that are united by their aspiration for Britain to remain part of Europe. It has my wholehearted support.”

Accused by some of being an “interfering foreigner,” self-described “confirmed Anglophile” Soros has put his money where his mouth is. In donating £400,000 to the anti-Brexit cause, he has drawn a line in the sand and hopefully others will follow his lead. It is time to #ExitBrexit and it is time for the 48% to rise up and be counted.

  • Calamity Corbyn

Matthew Steeples slates Jeremy Corbyn’s failure to secure a 20 point lead in the polls

This publication is regularly criticised for being “anti-conservative.” It most certainly isn’t and that we are blocked on Twitter by both Diane Abbott and George Galloway is definitely evidence of what the true “far left” think of our ramblings.

Recent polls by YouGov suggest the Conservatives and Labour “level pegging on 42 per cent” but also that Mrs May leads 35 per cent to 29 per cent over Jeremy Corbyn on “who’d make best Prime Minister.” Interestingly, however, 36% opted to choose “don’t know” and that could hint that whoever changes their leader first might be in for a better chance of electoral success.

Corbyn’s failure is further indicated in news that Labour membership is falling at a rate of around 4,000 per week. That is pretty appalling for his party but that that he is not 20 points ahead at a time when the worst Prime Minister in history is truly making a dogs dinner of Brexit is proof that it is time for him to simply throw in the towel.

  • No Faith in Theresa

    No Faith in Theresa

Theresa May has a perfect right to go to church but why can’t she worship privately?

Week after week, every Sunday, Theresa May appears outside her local church. She is photographed with her garden gnome-like husband and often even a dog.

That Britain’s most incompetent leader ever chooses to believe in the Anglican faith is entirely her right, but that she rams this down the nation’s throat every Sunday is frankly grating. It is time that Mrs May realised that this country, in fact, is now a multi-faith society and it is time that she learnt to respect that.

Elsewhere, talk of a coup to oust the out-of-control Mrs May is gaining momentum. This is hardly surprising given this vicar’s daughter’s true uselessness, but that such talk united contributors to the Daily Mail and The Guardian over the weekend is telling. It’s time the Conservative Party got its act into gear and it’s time to #MakeFebruaryTheEndOfMay.

  • Happy Buckethead

    Happy Buckethead

Lord Buckethead moves on from taking on Theresa May in Maidenhead and records a Christmas song; it’s brilliant

The fabulous Lord Buckethead has done it again. First, this wacky enigma took on the woman rightly described as “Britain’s worst ever Prime Minister” in Maidenhead in June and got 249 votes and now he’s made a YouTube video.

Referencing everyone and everything  from Chris Rea to John Lewis, this mysterious space lord sings about happiness and the weather but simply concludes: “There’s hardly anyone left who’s still sober.” He adds: “I know your politics are in dire straits, from Downing Street to the United States, but change will come no matter how long it takes and things won’t be so scary.”

As Lord Buckethead sings: May we wish you all a “bucket full of happiness.” Happy Christmas and by God, we need some cheer.

    The Twelve Disciples

Twelve Conservatives show themselves as heroes of the hour by voting against Theresa May on Brexit

    Dominic Grieve

    Heidi Allen

    Ken Clarke

    Nicky Morgan

The Rt. Hon. Theresa Villiers MP (AKA ‘The Telegraph Crow’)

Aside from spending more time in television studios than working for the good of her constituents, this crow-like creature is a “hard Brexiteer” with a penchant for claiming expenses for a second home despite representing a North London constituency. Bombastic to her core and a one-time friend of the “arse grabber” Brian Coleman, Theresa Villiers has been described as “divorced, dogmatic and dreadful.” She has bizarrely used three word alliterative phrases at least 724 times in debates, is anti-fox hunting and staunchly pro-Israel.

  • Whacking Out The Wheat

    Whacking Out The Wheat

Upto 20 sensible Conservative MPs are set to rebel against ‘Wheat Field Wanderer’ Theresa May over her plans to enshrine the date of Brexit in law

This morning The Telegraph revealed upto twenty Conservative MPs are set to do the right thing. Unsurprisingly deemed “Brexit mutineers” by the paper, this diverse group “have informed senior party figures that they will join forces with Labour to block new measures that would enshrine the date of Brexit in law.”

Fifteen of these sensible individuals are reported as being:

    Heidi Allen

    Ken Clarke

    Jonathan Djanogly

    Vicky Ford

    Dominic Grieve

    Stephen Hammond

    Oliver Heald

    Jeremy Lefroy

Highs and Lows in Hyde Park

Pint-sized flat in Knightsbridge goes on sale for ambitious sum of £5,813 per square foot; it was offered for the even more crazy sum of £7,027 per square foot in 2013

The owners of an apartment in the edifice of vulgarity that is One Hyde Park in Knightsbridge plainly have no belief in Brexit and increased stamp duty having affected the property market given they have just put the 989 square foot space on the market for the punchy price of £5.75 million ($7.65 million, €6.58 million or درهم28.11 million).

Offered effectively for £5,183 per square foot ($6,900, €5,928 or درهم25,342 per square foot) by agents Strutt & Parker, the third floor space was last marketed in June 2013 with what appears to be identical interior design for £6.95 million ($9.25 million, €7.95 million or درهم33.99 million). A similar 988 square foot apartment on the fourth floor – which had been repossessed by an Irish bank – was marketed for £5.25 million ($6.99 million, €6.01 million or درهم25.68 million) or £5,313 per square foot ($7,071, €6,077 or درهم25,980 per square foot) in September 2013.

  • Shoeing Out Theresa

    Shoeing Out Theresa

Why did the BBC waste fifteen minutes discussing Theresa May’s footwear? The nation would be a better place if she was simply shoed out

This morning on BBC One’s breakfast show, the hosts spent twenty minutes discussing the inane matter of another programme showing a shot of Theresa May’s shoes.

Given the ‘Imelda Marcos of politics’, as the ‘Wheat Field Wanderer’ was once branded, prides herself on wearing everything from leopard-print kitten heels to bling gold hologram wellies and red and pink lips shoes, why on earth did these presenters even think it worthy for discussion?

Mrs May, it transpires, was also given three pairs of shoes by Russell & Bromley and discount cards for LK Bennett, Amanda Wakeley and Hobbs whilst Home Secretary. Perhaps, since she’s so utterly hopeless at representing Britain in Brexit negotiations and given she’s so keen to shop, she could stand down and take a job at her hand holding mate Donald Trump’s daughter’s fashion brand.

Of the hectoring vicar’s daughter, another fashion loving chum, Lady Meyer, once told The Sun: “Theresa is a serious woman [but] she talks about holidays, clothes… She’s quite a girl in that sense.” Shoe her out!

    A Bigoted Bash

Marie-Claire, Baroness von Alvensleben starts (yet another) racist tirade at a party in London and launches a website where she brands herself ‘Incredible Marie-Claire’

Last night, at a party in London, a bigoted baroness launched into a racist tirade about immigration and the European Union.

At the event in St James’s, Marie-Claire von Alvensleben – a woman previously sentenced to a six week suspended jail sentence for amongst other things stating “brown people are ruining London” in 2014 – waved her fingers wildly whilst ranting about Gina Miller and told guests that she thought Brexit to be “a wonderful thing.”

Elsewhere, this unhinged madwoman has now created her own website. On it she shares information about her “glamour and sophistication” and claims to have “learnt English” in Cambridge. She bizarrely expresses (given her sheer lack of such qualities) that she wished to have become a diplomat and adds: “I was very spoilt indeed.”

Immodest to her core, von Alvensleben also reports on her attempts to launch a Swiss version of Vogue – “despite her resilient efforts… [it] did not bear any fruit and folded” – and concludes:

“Marie-Claire has her own ‘Coat of Arms’. Her ex-husband, Baron Bodo von Alvensleben used to call her IMC ‘Incredible Marie-Claire’. Maybe because she believes nothing is impossible … She can arrange “almost” everything… It can all be arranged.”
