  • Moron of the Moment 2022 – The Rt. Hon. Nadine Dorries MP

Moron of the Moment 2022 – The Rt. Hon. Nadine Dorries MP

Tory twerp and gormless government minister The Rt. Hon. Nadine Dorries MP brings shame on the Tories through her irresponsible tweeting

The Rt. Hon. Nadine Dorries MP is currently employed as the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Rather like The Rt. Hon. David Mellor QC – a slug-like cretin and one-time Minister for the Arts, before her – this mouthy menace neither realises that she holds an office of state nor accepts that she ought to behave with dignity.

On Monday, taking to Twitter and likely doing so whilst having quite possibly hit the booze after a jolly jaunt to lunch, this nurse turned novelist first had a pop at her old enemy David Cameron.

In a tweet at 4:24pm, the Member for Mid Bedforshire shared an image of the former Prime Minister and childishly chattered:

“Whether it’s a major music festival, sporting event or concert, it’s important people pay a fair price to see the events they love. Please remain vigilant when considering to buy from ticket touts. Guidance is available if you are unsure.”

Going further and probably off her skull by them, Dorries turned to a more serious matter – that of Boris Johnson, his now wife and their £800 a roll wallpaper flogger having a birthday bash in Downing Street in breach of the regulations the PM had forced upon the public – and pointedly pontificated:

“So, when people in an office buy a cake in the middle of the afternoon for someone else they are working in the office with and stop for ten minutes to sing happy birthday and then go back to their desks, this is now called a party?”

Shame on this ridiculous woman. She ain’t funny and perhaps she should just disappear and return to eating the anuses of ostriches in some far away jungle. Next!

    Twitter 1
Nadine Dorries took to Twitter on the afternoon of Monday 24th January 2022 to first mock David Cameron and accuse him of being a ticket tout and then returned later on to attempt to defend the latest allegations against Boris Johnson’s partying at Downing Street. Given she is a government minister, how does she have time for such activities?
    Nadine Dorries
The Member of Parliament for Mid Bedfordshire has repeatedly shamed herself previously. In 2012, this obnoxious woman was suspended from the Conservative Party after taking money to appear on ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ without informing the chief whip; later, first in July 2019 and then secondly in September 2021, Boris Johnson promoted this brainless berk.
    Nadine Dorries anus
The fact that this Liverpudlian born lunatic took £20,228 to humiliate herself on ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ about sums up how utterly beyond lowbrow she totally is. That she also paid her daughter £40,000 to £50,000 to work in her office in 2013 was am equally seedy moment.
    Twitter 2
Twitter users reacted to the tweets by Dorries by condemning her. One, Sarah-Jayne Kenyon, rightly remarked: “As a Minister of State, have you really nothing better/more important you should be doing.” Another suggested that this mindless MP must have been on the hooch.
    Twitter 3
Investigative journalist Michael Crick asked of a mocked-up image of David Cameron selling items: “Aren’t those Nadine Dorries’s dresses on the rail behind?” whilst the ex-leader of the Liberal Democrats Tim Farron ridiculously quipped: “Unpopular opinion: This is actually quite funny.”
    David Mellor
With her tweets today, Dorries has definitely entered the very same territory as David Mellor. The pair of these pointless pillocks should get a room.
The backing of The Rt. Hon. Nadine Dorries MP doesn’t do the Prime Minister any favours. This pointless pillock is someone who quite frankly isn’t taken seriously by anyone of a right-mind and it is now time that this tedious twerp was sent back to the backbenches. Shame on her.
  • Nationalistic Nonsense – National Anthem & GB News

Nationalistic Nonsense – National Anthem & GB News

Failing GB News’ attempt at becoming more patriotic by playing the National Anthem daily gets slated; dimwit Darren Grimes, of course, had to weigh in

This morning at 5:59am prompt – in what seemed like something from an episode of Dad’s Army gone wrong – the comedy channel with bad lighting that is GB News played God Save The Queen “to kick off live programming.” They bragged that they will do so “every day from now on,” but used accompanying imagery that amongst other things included a pile of rocks (pictured above). It was hardly a show of Britain at its best; it was more like tepid tea, in fact – bland and boring.

In an email sent last night, GB News enthused of their laughable attempt at bigging-up Britain:

“The anthem will play out across GB News Television and GB News Radio at 5.59am, ahead of Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel on weekdays, and Breakfast with Stephen and Anne at weekends.

“As you know, the anthem used to be a regular feature at the BBC, who dropped it from their television service 24 years ago. It means GB News will be only British television broadcaster to play the anthem daily.”

“We promised that GB News would celebrate what’s good about our country when we can, and the Queen’s 70 years on the throne is definitely cause for celebration.”

“We’ve selected an uplifting instrumental version which, for our television viewers, will play over photographs of beautiful British scenes at dawn.”

“We think this moment of quiet reflection will be a lovely way to start the day. We hope you do too.”

Though lauded as a “proud moment for British broadcasting,” according to an article this morning in the MailOnline, the version played was subsequently mocked widely online. Of it, one commentator remarked: “If all GB News has got as imagery to promote modern Britain is a falling down castle, they must truly be getting desperate. They’ve lost Andrew Neil and all they have left, aside from [“condom campaigner”] Tom Harwood, is this. What a joke.”

    God Save The Queen
In another image shown to accompany the airing, the ruins of a castle feature. Is this all that the production team could come up with? Are they trying to suggest that once Great Britain is nothing but a land of ruins? Perhaps they were hinting at Boris Johnson’s premiership being akin to a pile of rubble even.
    Darren Grimes and David Poulden
David Poulden and Darren Grimes – both of whom work for GB News – have been amongst those to predictably bang on about the matter on Twitter in recent days. As is to always be expected of him, ‘Dim Darren’ has got especially worked up.
We would argue that ‘We Are The Brits’ by Anton Lorien and his subsequent ‘Like A Diamond’ present a better set of imagery that is frankly at least relevant and joyous. Why didn’t GB News take a look at his videos prior to producing their utterly boring version?
Lorien’s ‘Like A Diamond’ has been watched by over 1.1 million on YouTube since it was uploaded in April 2012. It features amazing footage of the Queen – including a video clip of her running to watch one of her racehorses.

The National Anthem – As described on The Royal Family’s Website

The British National Anthem in its present form dates back to the eighteenth century. The words and tune are anonymous, and may date back to the seventeenth century.

God Save The King was a patriotic song first publicly performed in London in 1745, which came to be known as the National Anthem at the beginning of the nineteenth century.

In September 1745, the ‘Young Pretender’ to the British Throne, Prince Charles Edward Stuart, defeated the army of King George II at Prestonpans, near Edinburgh.

In a fit of patriotic fervour after news of Prestonpans had reached London, the leader of the band at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, arranged God Save The King for performance after a play. It was a tremendous success and was repeated nightly.

This practice soon spread to other theatres, and the custom of greeting monarchs with the song as he or she entered a place of public entertainment was thus established.

There is no authorised version of the National Anthem as the words are a matter of tradition. Additional verses have been added down the years, but these are rarely used.

The words used today are those sung in 1745, substituting ‘Queen’ for ‘King’ where appropriate. On official occasions, only the first verse is usually sung.

    The words are as follows:

    God save our gracious Queen!

    Long live our noble Queen!

    God save the Queen!

    Send her victorious,

    Happy and glorious,

    Long to reign over us,

    God save the Queen.

    Thy choicest gifts in store

On her be pleased to pour,

    Long may she reign.

    May she defend our laws,

    And ever give us cause,

To sing with heart and voice,

    God save the Queen.

The British tune has been used in other countries. European visitors to Britain in the eighteenth century noticed the advantage of a country possessing such a recognised musical symbol.

In total, around 140 composers, including Beethoven, Haydn and Brahms, have used the tune in their compositions.

The decision of GB News to begin the day with the National Anthem was preceded by a discussion about whether the BBC should play it daily on 16th January. In it, ex-MP Michael Portillo and Paul Embery agreed that this “isn’t a huge burning issue,” yet Arlene Foster claimed viewers were all asking: “Why wouldn’t the national broadcaster play the National Anthem?”
Romford MP Andrew Rosindell has been a leading figure in attempts to get all broadcasters to play the anthem every evening during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year.
  • Costly Cox

    Costly Cox

Costly jetsetting £3,000 per hour Tory MP Sir Geoffrey Cox QC needs to resign if the Conservative Party wants a chance of clearing up the stench of sleaze

Though clearly an intelligent man in many ways, Cambridge educated The Right Honourable Sir Geoffrey Cox QC MP is clearly someone completely out of touch with the struggles of those he is meant to represent in his Torridge and West Devon constituency.

Aside from having pocketed an astonishing £6 million from legal work since becoming a Member of Parliament in 2005 on top of his basic £82,000 annual salary for that job (£1.3 million for the 16-year period excluding an extravgant expense allowance added on top), costly Sir Geoffrey, the Mirror this morning revealed, outrageously put in a claim for £1,500 for “seven round trips to London in three months last year when he only voted in person on three days.”

Earlier this week on Twitter, Dr Mike Galsworthy shared: “Geoffrey Cox claimed £1,048.95 from taxpayers on expenses last year for an iPad and tablet accessories ‘to enable effective working while travelling” and for “remote working… All whilst illegally breaking travel bans to line his pockets. Another Tory exploiting the pandemic.”
A poster stating: “Missing: The Right Honourable Geoffrey Cox QC, MP. Has anybody seen Geoffrey lately?”

Like the shameless malverser and now ex-MP Owen Paterson, it is clear that Sir Geoffrey Cox’s priorities are not his constituents but instead feathering his very own nest. Here is a man who – though clearly not having broken any rule currently in place it thus far seems – is lacking in common sense and the ability to see that his position is now completely untenable.

Aside from The Guardian referencing how Sir Geoffrey – who is somewhat ironically presently topping-up his tan in the offshore tax haven of Mauritius – spent much of April, May and June in the sun-drenched British Virgin Islands at a luxury £5,300 per week villa, this morning, the Mirror’s Christine Griffin decided to ask his constituents in far bleaker Devon their views about their MP living-it-up with the jetset.

Their responses were clear and amongst them a Tavistock Foodbank volunteer named Brian Eales declared:

“I’ve never seen Geoffrey Cox at the foodbank in support… He’s not been seen recently in the office he’s got in Tavistock.”

“We don’t know what he does with his money do we. I’d like to think that with the sort of money he’s earning he’s making good use of, but he’s not. That’s a different kettle of fish.”

“I’ve voted Conservative before but at the moment I wouldn’t vote for them, no. I’d be interested to find out what he is doing with the money. At the moment it seems to be all ‘self,’ feathering his own nest shall we call it?’”

Going further of the globetrotting Conservative grandee, another foodbank volunteer constituent, Suzanne Weston raged:

“What [Sir Geoffrey Cox is] doing is disgusting, absolutely outrageous and he’s supposedly our MP.”

“He’s earning enough money as it is, and with the best will in the world nobody can do two full-time jobs at once. He can’t be putting his constituency work first while he’s over in the Caribbean, when we’re all having to be careful over here.”

“If I was in the awful position of having to come to the foodbank, I would be so hurt that someone in his position was not being more empathic towards my situation, just through his practical actions.”

Yesterday, the iPaper’s David Parsley reported on having visited Sir Geoffrey Cox’s constituency’s Conservative Club this week. “He’s too posh for us here,” a female member of the club told him, whilst another added: “To be honest my friend, he doesn’t need to show his face round here. A Dartmoor pony could get elected for the Tories here. That would probably make more of an effort to meet the locals too.”

Seeking to defend himself on his very own website, Sir Geoffrey – who took 60.1% of the vote in his constituency in 2019 and whom currently has a majority of 24,992 votes over his Liberal Democrat rival – this week arrogantly declared:

“Sir Geoffrey Cox has practised as a Queen’s Counsel in the courts since well before his election in 2005. He is a leading barrister in England and makes no secret of his professional activities.”

“Sir Geoffrey regularly works 70-hour weeks and always ensures that his casework on behalf of his constituents is given primary importance and fully carried out. Throughout this period, he continued to have online meetings with organisations, businesses and individuals within the constituency and it made no difference where he was for that purpose since it was not practicable or desirable at that time to meet face to face. As to the use of the proxy, prior to his visit to the BVI, he consulted the Chief Whip specifically on this issue and was advised that it was appropriate.”

“Sir Geoffrey’s view is that it is up to the electors of Torridge and West Devon whether or not they vote for someone who is a senior and distinguished professional in his field and who still practices that profession. That has been the consistent view of the local Conservative Association and although at every election his political opponents have sought to make a prominent issue of his professional practice, it has so far been the consistent view of the voters of Torridge and West Devon. Sir Geoffrey is very content to abide by their decision.”

This notorious for his “booming voice” £3,000 per hour man’s arrogance is telling and now it is simply time for Sir Geoffrey Cox to leave public office and return to personally profiting in private.

    Cooper Bay BVI villa 3
This morning, ‘The Guardian’ reported that Sir Geoffrey Cox stayed at this £5,300 per week “luxury estate on Cooper Bay” on “the north shore of Tortola, the biggest of the British Virgin Islands” during his “lucrative side-hustle.” The paper’s Luke Harding remarked: “There is an infinity pool. And a terrace, perfect for cocktails against a pink Caribbean sunset. Tavistock it isn’t.
    Cooper Bay BVI villa 2
The villa the Torridge and West Devon MP and “prominent barrister” stayed in features a “spectacular internal boulder.”
    Cooper Bay BVI villa 1
A bedroom within the villa enjoys a balcony with a spectacular view out to sea – clearly something the MP’s poorer constituents won’t be enjoying anytime soon.
  • Word of the Week 2021 – Malversation

Word of the Week 2021 – Malversation

In sharing the meaning of ‘malversation,’ Susie Dent sums up the morally bankrupt regime currently in power in Britain

Consistent in her ability to supply many a ‘Word of the Week’ for The Steeple Times, etymologist and Countdown ‘Dictionary Corner’ stalwart Susie Dent has gone and done it again.

Tweeting on Thursday and following up on her brilliant use of ‘thunderplump’ earlier this week, Dent remarked on a word of Middle French origin that sums up Boris Johnson’s Conservative government. Her missive read:

Word of the day is ‘malversation’ (16th century): the corrupt administration of power.

In a week when ‘Bosie The Clown’ has shown his true colours in his inept handling of ‘Owen Paterson-gate,’ we have most definitely seen ‘malversation.’

That anyone views it acceptable that an already handsomely paid MP and former minister took over £500,000 extra to lobby for private companies is bad enough, but that his cretinous colleagues were then forced to march through the lobbies in support of this charlatan is an utter disgrace.

Forever more a ‘malverser,’ Paterson – who was quite happy to sit in Parliament for 24 years without previously moaning about how “cruel” a place he supposedly now believes it to truly be – will be remembered now as a ‘King of Sleaze.’ Equally, if this prized prig thinks he’ll now be “clearing his good name,” he’s about as likely to see another pig fly across the sky above his vast Shropshire mansion.

Shame on Owen Paterson, but more so shame on Boris Johnson and his wholeheartedly rotten government.

    Owen Paterson mansion
Owen Paterson was able to live in palatial splendour in a vast Shropshire mansion courtesy of not only his salary as a Conservative Member of Parliament, but also because he greedily and without hesitation or consideration for morality took over £500,000 from private companies. That he said he’d “do it all again” about sums up the arrogance of this grubby piece of toerag.
According to Merriam-Webster, ‘malversation’ – first knowingly used in 1549 – can be defined as “misbehavior and especially corruption in an office, trust, or commission” or more simply as a “corrupt administration.” Going further they add: “The form ‘mal-’ is often a bad sign in a word, and malversation is no exception. In Middle French, ‘mal-’ (meaning ‘bad,’ from the Latin word for ‘bad,’ ‘malus’) teamed up with ‘verser’ (‘to turn, handle,’ from the Latin verb ‘vertere,’ ‘to turn’) to create ‘malverser,’ a verb meaning ‘to be corrupt.’ This in turn led to the French noun ‘malversation’, which was adopted by English speakers in the mid-16th century. Some other ‘mal-’ words that entered English from Middle French are ‘maladroit’ (‘inept’), ‘malcontent’ (‘discontented’), and ‘maltreat’ (‘to treat badly’).”
  • Randy Rob Must NOT Return

    Randy Rob Must NOT Return

Nikolay Kalinin suggests that 12 weeks suspension is far from enough for serial sex pest ‘Randy Rob’ Roberts MP

As Prince Andrew is being forced to acknowledge that his palace walls won’t save him from the legal papers regarding a sexual assault lawsuit against him, another man of questionable morality is jumping up and down in happiness upon realisation that his career is not yet over: Rob Roberts.

The Delyn MP had been forced out of Parliament for 6 weeks after sexual assault allegations, was stripped of his status as MP, and upon return was instantly condemned and faced repeated calls to resign. Now, it’s been confirmed that he’ll be suspended from the Conservative party for 12 weeks.

Following his suspension, ‘Randy Rob’ will continue to sit as an independent MP, although he will remain on Tory benches and will become a full party member again.

Unsurprisingly, Roberts’ victim was abashed by the news, telling BBC News: “It’s disconcerting that someone who has caused so much concern amongst younger members of the party should be allowed to continue their membership and potentially continue to have access to other young members in the future.”

It is abhorrent in my opinion that no one in the Standards Committee thought that a recall petition should be called, because I’m pretty sure Robert’s constituents would want to have a say when it comes to deciding the future of their MP who can’t restrain himself from childish and creepy behaviour.

Then again, what can we expect from a party that wouldn’t get rid of Priti Patel and sex maniac Stephen Crabb? At this point, the word ‘Tory’ is becoming a byword for an absolute lack of decency, and we must not let the government forget that.

    Rob Roberts sex pest
Roberts was deservedly slammed in June 2020 after it was revealed that he texted a young female aide on WhatsApp and remarked: “Just thought we could have some fun maybe, no strings. Will leave it with you. I might be gay but I enjoy … fun times.”

  • Veterans 4 Stupidity

    Veterans 4 Stupidity

Nikolay Kalinin on an unhinged group of veterans who wish to attack vaccination centres

There’s no denying that the people who went out on Saturday to protest against vaccine passports – and those who endorsed them, such as failed politician David Kurten and LBC host Maajid Nawaz – are utterly deranged. However, what has been recently uncovered by The Mail on Sunday is even worse than lunacy; it’s a level of insanity that can only be comparable to the far-right psychopaths who stormed the Capitol earlier this year.

The publication has revealed that there is a ‘private army’ called Veterans 4 Freedom (V4F), made up of around 200 ex-servicemen and women, whose main aim is to attack vaccination centres and those giving out the jabs.

The group has a private Telegram channel that one can only access by proving that they served in the army. Within that channel, the group’s members discuss carrying out insidious plans designed to disrupt Britain’s vaccination programme.

One member, known as ‘John H,’ wrote: “What security do these people have? How secure will the phials and equipment be in schools. I think a small group of ‘parents’ could easily restrain the vaccinator and remove the drugs…”

That same ‘John H’ has also revealed that he received a walkie-talkie from a former member of the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF), which is designated as a terrorist group by the UK.

The group’s leader, known only as ‘Bellzaac,’ has stressed that V4F advocates ‘legal forms of protest and resistance’ only, but within the Telegram channel his vocabulary is incredibly different; in one message he wrote: “No one else is going to do what needs to be done when it gets messy. We know it’s going to happen, it’s not a matter of if,” which sounds as if they are planning an insurrection.

Commenting on the clash outside of the former BBC Television Studio during an anti-lockdown protest organised by Official Voice, one member said: “The BBC building needs…burning down.”

One message has even urged members to “bring the fight to the people sticking the needle in” by putting trackers on the cars of health workers giving out the vaccine and following them home.

The group has also declared the police as an enemy, with one message stating it would “be good if ‘someone’ slashed tyres of pig cars all over the country.”

Are these the people whom many within the country would want to support? Those who plan attacks on vaccination centres, and thus sabotage Britain’s recovery from the pandemic?

If such people are given a platform, they will use it to carry out attacks on decent people who just want the best for others, and this might even cause the resurgence of the far-right in the country who have been spewing anti-lockdown, anti-vaxx nonsense the last year. We will be on the path towards an idiocracy.

    Is Covid Racist?
The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in all sorts of crackpottery. In November 2020, we reported on a ludicrous Channel 4 show that asked: “Is Covid Racist?”
  • Dim Darren Doesn’t Dazzle

    Dim Darren Doesn’t Dazzle

Nikolay Kalinin on ‘Dim Darren’ Grimes’ latest attempt to prove himself nothing but a petulant pillock

If there was an award for the ultimate prized pillock in the media, Darren Grimes would definitely be one of the nominees. As is par for the course, his latest attempt to get involved in political commentary has simply resulted in him making an utter moron of himself.

This time, it began when the distinguished former Tory MP Rory Stewart called on the UK Government to “form an international coalition to provide routes, funding and safe haven for millions of refugees, with homes of them in Britain and across the West” and “dramatically increase UK aid and development spend for Afghans” still trapped in the Taliban-controlled nation.

In response, ‘Dim Darren’ put up a poll on Twitter stating: “The former Tory MP Rory Stewart has said we need to take ‘many many millions’ of Afghan refugees. Would you support such a move?” As is predictable always when this wazzock spouts even just a single syllable, this clot misled his audience by misquoting Stewart.

Unsurprisingly, the public responded by completely obliterating Grimes’ credibility and voting ‘Yes.’ At the time of writing, 62.3% of voters have voted ‘Yes’ while only 37.7% have voted ‘No.’ As a result, Grimes’ name and #craftywank begun trending on Twitter.

Many people on Twitter were also keen to point out once again how much of an ignoramus ‘Crafty Wank’ is by mentioning his Tweet in which he stated that Donald Trump’s foreign policy “never caused anything quite this disastrous,” referring to chaotic scenes of Afghan citizens escaping Taliban, only to have Twitter users remind him that the US withdrawal from Afghanistan was a policy which Trump initiated.

Even Stewart himself responded to Grimes on Twitter, admitting that although he has predicted there would be millions of Afghan refugees, that would be “over many years,” and argued that “US, UK and all the NATO allies should share the burden between them”.

This situation perfectly reflects who ‘Little Dazzer’ truly is: A loud-mouthed piffle-spitter, who, like Laurence Fox, Hatie Kopkins and Julia Hartley-Brewer should simply take his babbling someplace where it will not be able to dumb down the minds of decent citizens.

    Darren Grimes crafty wank
The reason for Grimes trending on Twitter with the hashtag #craftywank was down to his alleged naughty habits at school. In response, the noxious nitwit has now threatened legal action. Next!
  • Andrew Neil’s (NOT) Coming Home

    Andrew Neil’s (NOT) Coming Home

Nikolay Kalinin examines whether Andrew Neil will or will not return to front GB News

It’s been more than a month since Andrew Neil announced that he was taking a break from GB News, and there’s reports that his “break” might just turn permanent, as reports come revealing a depressing picture of the broadcaster.

On Wednesday, The Telegraph reported that “there is now growing speculation that the ex-BBC stalwart will never return to the airwaves amid rumours of a bitter rift with his chief executive Angelos Frangopoulos.”

Frangopoulos is the former boss of Sky News Australia, which he turned from a budget channel to a megaphone for right-wingers, and there was speculation that he wanted to do the same with GB News. In other words, this clot wants GB News to become a safe haven for ‘COVIDIOTS’ like Laurence Fox.

On Thursday, The Daily Express – yes, I am aware it’s not the most reliable of sources – meanwhile published a statement from a source from GB News that highlights Neil’s chaotic time during his two weeks as presenter:

“He looked miserable, dejected and seriously stressed during the two weeks he was in Paddington. It wasn’t just the shambolic launch getting him down. It was the relentless technical failures making proper broadcasting impossible.”

“One night I was in the newsroom as he came off air after another hour of technical disasters. I think he was close to tears.”

Nevertheless, a spokesperson for GB News denied that the veteran presenter is abandoning ship and stated that he will “return from holiday in September to host his 8pm show.” This claim was further backed up by Neil’s own spokesperson.

There does seem to be a high chance that Neil may come back to GB News, considering how successful Nigel Farage’s show has been, even to the point that the broadcasts manage to attract more viewers than afternoon shows on the BBC and Sky News.

Still, we have to point out that Farage’s show is the only one attaining impressive ratings, and judging by how little amount of people tune into the channel on YouTube – at the time of writing, only 633 people are watching GB News live via YouTube – it could be a sign that the channel might not attain as much success as some people expected.

    Andrew Neil Nigel Farage
Astonishingly, Nigel Farage has proven to be a more popular presenter with audiences on GB News than the channel’s very own creator. Mr Farage’s evening show focuses on migrants crossing the channel from France to Britain and is most definitely a “lurch” to attract an even more right-wing audience than where the broadcaster sits already.
Right-leaning “alternative” GB News launched in June but the channel is “struggling” to gain traction. Whilst the wannabe “British equivalent of Fox News” aimed to “exposed the growing promotion of cancel culture” and give a voice” to those who feel sidelined or silenced,” it has failed to enthuse audiences.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LlXXPn3Jv4
A spokesperson for “anti-woke” GB News has claimed: “We are enormously proud of our progress in only eight weeks. As a start-up, we continue to move at lightning speed, learning, refining and growing constantly. We’re committed to serving our audience by delivering the stories and issues that matter to them.” Others have suggested that the channel’s “plummeting ratings” and chaotic style will result in it not even lasting a year.
  • A Ridiculous Rant From Reform UK

A Ridiculous Rant From Reform UK

Nikolay Kalinin on Metro Bank closing down the bank account of the Reform UK party and loopy leader Richard Tice’s ridiculous reaction

As I have previously argued, Richard Tice is nothing but an incompetent piffle-spitter whilst his Reform UK party is nothing more than a circus dedicated to spreading misinformation.

It seems, however that Tice and his circus have finally got what they deserved, because recently Metro Bank has made the decision to close down his party’s accounts, with their justification being that the account was “no longer commercially viable.”

In a letter to the party, Metro Bank continued: “After careful consideration, we are unable to continue to act as your bankers,” whilst later in a statement the bank added:

“We regularly review our customer accounts and close those which are no longer commercially viable. The decision to close the Brexit Party account was made for commercial reasons only as a business as usual decision. Metro Bank is and will remain politically neutral.”

Unsurprisingly, Tice launched into a rant, stating that the bank’s decision was “based on politics,” and generally attempting to paint the party as an honest group being hunted down by the establishment. He stated: “We are fifth in the polls. It’s not like we’re some extremist zealots. We got 300,000 votes in the May elections.”

Tice’s comments about his party not being well to the right of Genghis Khan is clearly inaccurate. In the last month alone, they have campaigned against vaccines and vaccine passports, a rhetoric that has also been used by extremists like Kate Shemirani and Piers Corbyn and previously they’ve supported policy changes that would bring clearly dangerous chlorinated chicken into Britain.

In regards to their account being targeted for political reasons, that statement is also inccorect, because the truth is that when it comes to commercial activities, the party hasn’t had much success.

If you go to the profile of the party on the Companies House and see the report of financial statements, it’s visible that throughout the entire 2019, Reform UK – or the Brexit Party, as it was known back then – made only £12,156 from commercial activities such as merchandise sales and events.

The party may have received millions of pounds worth of donations, but their lack of commercial success illustrates that they truly aren’t economically viable and therefore deservedly had their bank accounts closed.

My advice to Mr Tice is that he stop behaving like Tucker Carlson and that he ceases whining about how oppressed he is. Such behaviour will not get him much support, as, equally, in this year’s London Assembly elections the party pathetically achieved just 1% of the regional vote and just 2.4% of the constituency vote.

    Richard Tice Nigel Farage
Richard Tice succeeded Nigel Farage as leader of Reform UK in March 2021 and now has every reason to look glum. Aside from the party’s electoral failure, it shortly won’t even have a bank account.

    Brexit Boat Baloney

Nikolay Kalinin on Defence Secretary Ben Wallace’s laughable attempt to condemn those not backing the ‘Brexit boat’ as unpatriotic

It’s pretty clear to every rational person in Britain – even the ones who voted to “take back control” – that the government’s decision to invest £250 million into a “royal yacht” rather than give that money to, say, the NHS is plainly stupid. This fact, however, has not yet been grasped by the Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace.

Following Labour’s criticism of the £250 million being wasted on a “royal yacht,” Wallace accused the party of being unpatriotic. He remarked: “That’s Labour’s problem. They’re not patriotic about these sort of things, they don’t understand the workforces,” before mentioning workers in Barrow-in-Furness and Lancashire responsible for creating nuclear submarines and fighter jets.

I am not sure if Wallace is aware of this, but there’s a difference between investing in jet fighters and submarines and investing in a massive £250 million ‘Brexit boat,’ and that difference is that one benefits the country and one is simply an unnecessary expense.

It’s hilarious that Wallace is trying to portray himself as a supporter of the workforce, despite the fact that he has voted for more restrictive regulation of trade union activity amongst other things.

Furthermore, Wallace has shown himself to be dismissive of the idea that helping vulnerable people means being a good politician; for example, he has voted against spending public money on the creation of guaranteed jobs for unemployed young people, and he has also voted for the utterly pointless and stupid ‘bedroom tax.’

It is then puzzling to see Mr. Wallace try to show himself as a patriot when all he has ever done for the working class is vote to impose more restrictions on them, and I advise him to stop prattling about patriotism and start actually doing things that will benefit the people.

    Sir Donald Gosling royal yacht
The late Sir Donald Gosling left a sum of £50 million towards providing a new royal yacht in his will. Whether this money has now been put towards Boris Johnson’s proposed ‘Brexit gin palace’ is a question that remains unanswered.
    Sir Philip Green Lionheart
In May, whilst discussing the proposed ‘Brexit boat’ on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Broadcasting House,’ Dame Esther Rantzen remarked: “This is to me a crazy idea at a time when our economy has been obviously dealt something of a death blow by COVID, when we have no plans for social care, when food banks are thriving. Do we really think that the taxpayer, let alone the royal family, want £200 million spent on a royal yacht? I think it’s an example of a newspaper starting a campaign which is so out of touch. However, perhaps, I have the solution: Sir Philip Green, do you remember him? He has a knighthood – which some people have questioned. He lives in Monaco, where there’s plenty of other people with yachts. Why doesn’t he donate his boat to the royal family? If he’s got monograms with the words ‘Philip’ on it, that would be suitable for those who feel that the yacht should be named after Philip, Duke of Edinburgh… Prince Philip, you could just add a few, a few, you know…”
Ben Wallace was deservedly slammed after he recently announced the UK royal yacht successor could cost the taxpayer £50 million more than initially suggested.
Former Tory Chancellor Ken – now Lord – Clarke remarked of the project: “[It] is silly populist nonsense… We have no money for that kind of thing… It’s a symptom; £200 million is not going to cause problems, but it shows there are people in No 10 who just think there’s free money and who think that waving a union jack and sending yachts and aircraft carriers around the world shows what a great power we are.”
