Henry Irwin Pesch reviews ‘D’ORA: The Romanian Immigrant’

D’ORA by Delia Antal is not just another film. No, it’s not a film made by some amateur looking to get into the film business. It’s not the story about Romanian immigrants or any other stereotype you have in mind right now. What do you think of when you hear of a Romanian who comes to London? And when that Romanian comes over with their whole family and friends? (more…)

#TeamNigella has trended on Twitter in recent weeks. Even the Prime Minister joined in. Few have leapt to the defence of the television presenter’s former husband, Charles Saatchi, however, but yesterday, still, his Evening Standard column still proudly graced the entirety of page 39. (more…)

  • The Hon. Nigella Lawson

    The Hon. Nigella Lawson

Nigella LawsonA self-proclaimed “Domestic Goddess”, Lawson was rebranded a “habitual criminal” during the trial of her two former assistants in November 2013. In an email quoted during the case, her ex-husband, Charles Saatchi, nicknamed her “Higella” and alleged his wife “poisoned [her] child with drugs and trashed her life”. In response, amongst those who leapt to Lawson’s defence on Twitter were Tom Parker Bowles, Rosa Monckton and Piers Morgan. Though the image of Saatchi throttling Lawson at Scott’s in Mayfair is undoubtedly one of the most shocking published in 2013, this cookery writer and presenter’s last biscuit may have just been baked given American viewer’s distaste for drug abuse.

He learnt his art from none other than Mark Birley.

  • Mrs MILF

    Mrs MILF

Mrs Milf FIOur agony aunt doesn’t mince her words and makes The Sun’s “Dear Deidre” seem tame. She whips those who write to her into submissiveness and believes that whilst Essex girls are “like mopeds: you may not like to be seen with them but they are much more fun to ride” Chelsea girls are “like cream: thick, rich and taken by themselves bland and sickening”. If she doesn’t follow you on Twitter, she just isn’t interested.
